Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Will be close. Autosubs will boost it a touch so Coutinho smashing Moreno might be trouble.

57 will be borderline probably. A decent score from Moreno should keep you safe.

Christian Fuchs had the same amount of shots on target (2) than Aguero (0), Mahrez (0) and Vardy (2) combined.

Let that sink in for a moment...

Quality and quantity of player pools has increased. You have to consider that if comparing to previous seasons. Last season was my first and im almost in top 10k this yr.

The US fanbase is expanding and will continue to grow as NBCSN just signed a huge TV rights deal with the PL. We have way more access to PL games here now than in the UK. I can watch any game I want at anytime from my iphone for crying out loud!

Same, except Barkley for Arna and Ighalo for Gir.

Tnx guys for replying on my previous post: Theo Walcott seems like the best option, but if you had 2FT, nothing to change really (Mane vs Norwich, Vardy vs Bournemouth and Aguero not 100% yet, so might give them another chance), would you use one FT for:

    Ramsey --> Walcott ?

Otherwise I would just not use the FT

What are your thoughts on the following statement?

"Returning to the old price rise mechanism of equal thresholds for the first, second and third price rises in a gameweek would prevent a repeat of thie current cheap template scenario in future seasons."

    1. Diva

    2. Zizoulicious

Might help, but the initial prices were so low that the template would still be very affordable

      1. Diva
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 11 months ago

That may be true of Ighalo and Mahrez, but Ozil and Lukaku would have moved more quickly into premium price brackets.

    3. Rhinos
      • 12 Years

wouldnt it just mean even less variable teams, we'd all have had to jump on Mahrez early

      1. Diva
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 11 months ago

People wouldnhave to jump on earlier, but the template would quickly become less affordable if you were not an early adopter. Mahrez, for example, would be over 8m now.

    4. VS10_
      • 10 Years

Don't remember that, but it would surely mean a lot of early transfers if you would want to catch any rises.

      1. Diva
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 11 months ago

Yes. You would have to gamble more early before you knew whether a player could sustain that form.

    6. oghash
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 11 months ago

@ Diva - Without wanting to sound cynical this game is run as a business. In a few years item UFPL will be the bigger game bwcause their business model will orientate towards that. Right now I should imagine that their goals pre season was to tweak UFPL to make it better and to find a way to keep the people that drop off playing ni the first half of the season playing longer. Whilst the likes of you and me might not agree with it, they've found a way to do that. By people being able to have almost identical teams easily, by the top 10k being made up of players who are not normally in it means those people are playing longer.

There are a lot less dead teams, the cup shows us that, the fact that people are struggling to get past 500/600/700k shows us that. The likes of the FFS regular won't stop playing, they'll just try harder and dedicate more time to find a way to be good again. Or the ones that do, thinking of people like wild rover are saying I'm stopping FPL, but only playing UFPL, which is what they'll want in the long term.

I do agree totally with you, but working in an industry that is now looking more and more to DFS games as a good source of revenue I am pretty certain they'll be happy with this season. It has a knock on affect as well to sites like this. This site is more busier, this site generates it's income as an affiliate site in disguise, but does it well as it also has a membership fee. Which means whilst sites like this are great, they'll never combine to try to get the FPL makers to revert back to how it was, as it'll cost them cash.

Cheers for the reply Oghash. I totally understand why they have changed it. It's purely a personal perspective, but I find the game duller if everyone can have the same side.

Been hovering around 50 to 65k for weeks now. Cant seem to make any headway.

Captained Lukaku and was actually hoping Ozil would blank but he goes and outscores him.

I did get 5 green arrows in a row a week or two back but moved up the rankings at a snails pace.

Bit tired of these 65 plus gamesweek scores and getting a red arrow or moving up 1k places a week.

To be fair I had similar problem last season and I found the more I strayed from template the worse off I made it. I think you have to pick your differentials wisely in positions that are still low ownership... seems defence this season and maybe 1 Mid slot.
        Also Captaincy is ultra important.

Can someone sticky this? Soooo bored of reading this:

    "WBA can't defend at home."

SUCH A MYTH. Their home fixtures so far:
    mci/che/SOU/eve/SUN/lei/ars/tot/bou/NEW

The CAPS are the clean sheets. If you had to predict their CS, that's what you'd choose - apart from Bournemouth, where they had a man sent off early.

Yes, they conceded big in the rest..... but who cares? You'd bench your WBA defender for most, if not all, of those anyway, so it's irrelevant.

If we go on the basis of predicting clean sheets, their remaining (H) games look delightful:
    STO/AVL/SWA/CPL/MUN/NOR/WAT/WHM/LIV

    Myth. Rant. Done. 😛
