We delve into the Gameweek 20 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Wayne Rooney’s upturn in attacking potential arrives under analysis, whilst we also cast an eye over midfielders from Spurs, West Ham, Arsenal and Newcastle, before assessing Liverpool and Leicester’s threat in the final third.

He is nailed as he's their best defender by a country mile, and cheaper than Tomkins.

I have faith Lateriser can see a big yellow flag next to Reid's name 🙂

The way I see it I have two viable options to get Aguero in....2 FT and 4.2 ITB

    Butland
    Azpi Bellerin Dawson
    Ozil KDB Arnie Mahrez
    Kane Lukaku Vardy

    (Hennessey Stansilas Simpson Moreno)

    A) KDB and Vardy -> Yaya and Aguero
    B) KDB and Vardy -> Payet and Aguero

Happy to hear thoughts if you can see something I can't

@Balders , read this for further proofs-

"He must have had slicks on, when he should have had normal tyres on," said the Dutchman after the game.

"His reaction was good, when he was booed he had a very good reaction as a professional," he said..

"I think that made him think 'how should I go on?'. And he showed how he will go on today."

Am I the only one who doesn't rate guardiola as a manager?
Both of his jobs have been at clubs that literally sh*t money, and now he's going to man city? I mean yes he won a lot of trophies but Where's the challenge in managing a club that can literally buy all the players in that league bar a few like Bayern did, basically stealing all of Dortmund's good players?

Whatever be the reasons, if he was winning matches all-around, would he still be sacked? My point was not about his sacking but about how a manager can hold a team's performance together given money and good players.

I agree somewhat as he inherited great sides, which had won champions leagues. Barca are better now since Suarez joined and Bayern have disimproved. Pep probably craves building his own side to prove himself, maybe United still a possibility. Love to see him at a smaller club.

Also, I understand your scepticism, but if a top club like Man City wants your services, is offering great money, has good facilities and great players, who would say no I need a greater challenge and then go to West Ham/Newcastle for example?

In this day and age, the better team which you can go to is the one nearly always opted for.

I have the exact money to get Sanchez for Barkley but it would leave me with a benching issue. Rest of my front 7 is:

    KDB Ozil Alli Mahrez
    Ighalo Kane Lukaku

This would probably mean benching I Mahrez at Spurs. Obviously depends on Sanchez showing some fitness in the cup, is it madness?

I would prefer Kun to Sanchez if I could have one in my team. I feel your team would be better off keeping some money ITB for when you might want Kun. When the guy gets in form and fitness, then he is near-essential.

Give Alexis a game or two before bringing him and make sure he goes through 90 minutes unscathed.

Two back to back hamstring injuries, no need to risk it as there always a possibility of re aggravating the injury or having something come up.

It also normally takes several games to get back up to game speed and find your touch again

            Oops! Reply was for you.

Stanislas may not be nailed on with Pugh back. Tettey has given some points from my bench.
            Antonio seems the best option.
Others are M'Vila(pops up with an assist sometimes). Redmond, Albrighton, Hoolahan will get points but aren't nailed.
            Lingard or Aarons, once fit.

          2. Ziro Becomes One
            • 11 Years

Well, if you want to play Alli in all matches then you might be able to get away with a cheapie.
However, looking at the schedule of the top clubs in January and Feb, it looks like we'll need our 5th mid more often as the regular starters start getting rests for the domestic cups as well as European engagements.
Keeping cash ITB is the decent solution yes. You might look at Drinkwater for example in the range of 4.5-5.0 if you have Alli as a 4th mid.

Which combo do you prefer on a wildcard to go with

Elliot, Toby, Azpi, Smith and Cresswell

    A - Butland and R Bennett
    B - Fabianski and Wolly

A gives me less of a benching headache as would play Butland, Azpi, Toby and Creswell both weeks. But would mean I would to bench one of Cresswell or Wolly this week for example?

Since you already have Smith as the cheap 5th. I would say Wolly. Better defense than Bennett's Norwich and more nailed so to say.

Thanks good advice. Its this week I'm mainly worried about who to bench out of wolly.or cresswell!

    Butland
    Clyne Alderwereild VVD
    Mahrez Ozil KDB Arny Barkley
    Lukaku Kane
    Subs Hennessey Vardy Richards McAuley

    0.8 ITB & 1 FT.
I want to do Barkley > Alli / Oscar / Payet

If I do this am I going to have a selection headache every week though??

Ola deadzone. Been mulling, will mull some more.

    WWYD (What would you do)

    Butland McCarthy
    Bellerin Alderwield Moreno Evans Smith
    KdB Ozil Walcott Mahrez Westwood
    Lukaku Kane Aguero

    1FT 0M

    i) Save
ii) Theo -> Payet (Feel like giving Theo a run against the rubbish Liverpool defence)
iii) Moreno -> Williams/Tomkins/sub 4.9 defender (bench Bellerin)
    iv) Westwood -> Stanislas
    v) Any other

Currently thinking i'll do i or iii. Don't know which defender though if iii.

All being well. And everyone is fresh and injury free.
This is the transfer I'll make and the team I'll line up with.

    Does this look good?

    Moreno to Smith

    Butland
    Smith. Kolv. Ward.
    Mahrez. Alli. Walcott. Ozil. KDB.
    Kane. Ighalo.

    Bench: Hennessy. Lukaku. Bellerin. Wollscheid

    6.8 ITB and 1FT which I'll save

How many players does everyone have for next Tuesday's games? I only have 1 and that's Wardinho. Think this is as good a reason as any to get Payet in!

Gents Just a thought on this plan Please - YAY or NAY

    Butland
    Bellerin - Kolarov - Dawson - Moreno - Wollscheid
    Ozil - KDB - Mahrez - Ramsey - Wanyama
    Vardy - Lukaku - Kane

    A).KDB + Vardy > Aguero + Arnautovic
    B).Don't do it

Wanted to do the same plane with Payet but i'm .3 short - YAY or NAY ?

    Off Topic.
    Worth an ask on here.

I'm treating myself to a new pair of football boots as the pink, yes pink, Mercurials have had their time. I'm looking at getting an all black pair.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

Adidas do a nice black out range on boots its taking off the market.

There have been some cracking black out preds and f50s.

Although if I was buying a pair of boots I think I'd go for the black/gold Mizuno Wave Ignitus.

Yea I'm really eyeing up the black Adidas Preds. F50's are nice too.

Never heard of Mizuno Wave Ignitus 🙁

Reckon they'll be good on astro? That's all I really play on in Singapore as the grass pitches here are terrible

I've got the boots and astro versions. Both are great on astro but the boots are a bit firmer under foot.
