New Year, new aspirations, same old voices.

The first ScoutCast of 2016 is brimming with determined talk of banishing old habits which, in all honesty, will likely evaporate in the weeks to come. That’s particularly true of my no-Aguero policy, which feels even more flimsy after taking in the musings of Jonty and Andy in this episode.

Man City’s hitman and faltering away form comes under the microscope via another batch of community questions, along with an assessment of Dele Alli, Kane without Dembele and the allure of the French fancy that is Dimitri Payet.

We rinse through that little lot, before looking ahead to the floodlit excitement that awaits us in Gameweek 21.

    Is Alli enough attacking cover for Spurs good fixtures or is Kane essential? I'm torn on who to lose out of Ighalo and Kane for a Aguero soon.

      I'd probably lose Kane. Ighalo is still incredible value and you might lose some TV selling him.

      Kane seems to be slowing and has been somewhat inconsistent this season. He does have nice fixtures though.

      I guess it goes back to the classic form v fixtures discussion 😀

        Arnie's fixture is good this week, thinking of holding out with that transfer until GW22.

        But Vardy -> Ighalo looks good. Kane is so tempting though based on fixtures

          I'd wait to get Kane in. When Dembele is out, Alli get's more forward causing Kane to drop back trying to get involved in the game. I'd monitor Kane before getting him in if you don't already have him

        City might well concede. But Sunderland definitely will. And I think Ayew is more nailed on to be involved in a Swansea goal than Barkley an Everton one.

    I am stuck on how to fit Kun into this team, please help me:
    - Kane has great fixture and don't want to drop him now. Even if I drop him, I am short of bringing Alli instead of Stan as a Spurs cover.
    - Lukaku in form, bought at 8,4 which means difficult to buy back
    - Ighalo always destroyed my rankings when not in my team, just have him in WC two GWs ago and don't want to sell. OTOH if I replace Kun with him I should downgrade KDB as well!
