Swansea City welcome Watford to the Liberty Stadium in Gameweek 22’s final stanza. The Swans look to rebound from a heavy defeat at the hands of Sunderland last time out, while the Hornets will be hoping to end their three-match losing streak.

Swansea struggled on the offensive end over the previous four Gameweeks, tallying the fewest attempts (31), second-fewest shots inside the box (18) and joint-second-fewest big chances (two). The Welsh outfit also chalked up the second-fewest key passes (24), highlighting their paucity of creativity. It was a mixed bag from a defensive perspective, with six goals conceded and two clean sheets registered over that stretch.

The Hornets have experienced a slump in form since Gameweek 18, ranking second-bottom for shots on target (eight) and bottom for key passes (21). Only two sides posted a worse shot accuracy than Watford (21.6%), so they’ll need to recalibrate their sights for this head-to-head. Standards at the back have dropped, with Quique Sanchez Flores’ men conceding the joint-most goals (eight) and joint-fourth-most shots inside the box (36) over the previous four Gameweeks.

How much difference does catching price rises early actually make considering you can only sell the player for half the profit made on them?

so players who bought say Mahrez later on although they paid more, they can also sell for more so does it not cancel out?

it makes a big difference. go to your transfers page, unclick everyone and see what your selling value is.

if its 102, that means you can have a 9m midfielder instead of a 7m one, for example. the higher it is the better, you can afford more luxury players

Building TV early is vital, it helps massively in times like this when big hitters like Aguero are coming back into most teams. For example I'very made 7 million extra TV, that's the difference between Stanislas and Sanchez

It's not vital, but definitely good to have.

do you lose the value when you sell the players who increased in rprice?

        1. Tansey
          • 11 Years
          10 years, 3 months ago

No, you make half the profit in rise from when you bought them. For example, if I bought Chris Smalling at 6.0 and he rose to 6.8, I cold sell for 6.4

        2. Zombie
          • 13 Years

          Yes

I have bought Mahrez since the start of the season - at 5.5. He is 7.2 now. So when I sell him, I will get only 6.3 back, but will need to pay 7.2 if I need him later on

So I have to be very very sure that I won't be needing him anytime soon before selling

Did anyone watch all of the Leicester game and if so what was Mahrez like? I heard it on the radio and they were slating him saying he's lost all confidence but watching the highlights you didn't really see any of that.

I don't think he can keep up his form on the flank in a 442 formation. He's been very deep and isn't getting as forward as much as he used to.

      • 10 Years

He was average. Just like the rest of the team. Should have had at least 10 points if he wasn't over-confident and arrogant.

Okay so my main two competitors in my league have two distinguishing factors. One has Aguero and Kane, but didn't captain either. The other has Ighalo and Kane, but he's captained Ighalo.

I have Ighalo, Kane, and Aguero(c). Do I want Ighalo to do well or poorly? Keep in mind I'm playing catchup.

You should kill your opponents, hack into their teams and the league is yours

Obviously depends if you value OR or mini-leagues.

            Definitely mini-leagues

          Depends on the overall scores.

The one with Ighalo(c) knows a lot more about football and the EPL, the other has been surviving by listening to stuff I say (I need to shut my mouth).
