      I don't analyse stats, I watch the games and judge who I think is likely to score well and is in form/looks threatening. I was impressed with the Sanchez cameo today and will be getting him in asap.

Away from fpl for just a moment. What do people think about the standard of football in the prem currently ? If you have a season ticket is it value for money ? IMO sky have changed the whole face of football and turned it into a huge greedy beast. Now genuine competition has arrived in the form of BT Sports which will only drive up transfer fees and wages further. The lower leagues are getting very little of this money filtering down and I seriously fear for the survival of a lot of clubs. Overspending can have terrible consequences -ie Leeds to name but one.
There are too many average players on stupid money which cannot be good for the game.
Is it just me or does anybody else have misgivings re the current state of the game?

  find the intensity of so many matches remarkable, usually at the expense of the quality of the football. it's like playing FIFA/pes and just holding the sprint button all game.
  
  100% with you on the state of the game. ticket prices are mentioned a lot but replica kits really bother me. these things probably cost a couple of pounds each to pump out the machines yet it's now hard to get a full kit even in kids sizes for under £100

    Merchandising , esp kits is a total rip off. My company used to manufacture products for clubs to merchandise . There were often a good few parties getting their mits on a slice of the cash before being sold to the fans whilst the supplier was getting screwed into the ground with prices. Ultimately clubs employed merchandising companies to supply the whole spectrum of merchandise items which inevitably meant that the majority were sourced from overseas. Low morals high profits . Sad.
