Anyone else bench Bellerin (9) and Toby (7) and was fuming when they saw the scores come in?

and then breath a thankful sigh of relief when Williams (9), VvD (9) and Simpson (7) came good?

Only 2 points off the max combo .... not bad, but when you score 99 and have never got 100 it tastes a tad salty 🙂

but still, what a game week INSIDE TOP 100K for the first time ever (yes I am a bad player normally)

I benched Toby and Sold Bellerin for Kompany on Friday night!

Fortunately, though, I did play Daniels.

Sadly I chose Fonte over Toby and Simpson. Still, 81 points in total so can't complain.

Seems that way. Only hoping that some have to make hits to get there.

And maybe those not on here are slightly less prepared? Though I would have thought most have triple Leicester and triple Spurs plus a few anyways.

          4-3-2 at the moment.

Got 2 FT but not sure whether to get Siggy or Alli for Willian and just leave Fonte alone, or keep Willian, get Williams for Fonte and play 5-3-2.

I dunno. There is still quite a variation on defence.

Firmino reminds me of Suarez in terms of intelligence and work ethic. Southampton and Spurs next will be difficult games but the team seems revitalized. It'll be interesting to see how Klopp rotates the squad now. Flanagan's done really well but needs to become a better attacker.

    1 FT and 1.2m ITB,

    Lloris DDG*
    Fuchs Daniels Williams Janmaat Moreno*
    Mahrez Alli Ozil* Payet* Stanislas*
    Kun Kane Vardy

If Arsenal beat Hull, I'll have to make 1 FT to field 11. Thoughts on:

    A) Moreno --> VVD
    B) Payet --> Siggy, Sterling or Yaya
    C) Stanislas --> Ritchie
    D) Ozil --> Silva, Siggy, Sterling or Yaya
    E) Other

How's this lineup for gw 30?

    Forster - (Hennessey)
    Toby - Fuchs - Williams - (Wolls - Cresswell)
    Ozil - Mahrez - Siggy - Arnie - (Payet)
    Aguero(c) - Kane - Vardy

I am doing OK (7.5k) and in a couple of minileagues that I would like to do well in.

Still got 20 transfers left. What sort of strategy would you be looking at now?

    Team is fairly standard

    Schmeichel
    Cathcart Bellerin VVD
    Ozil Mahrez Payet Alli
    Aguero Kane Vardy

After this week it feels like things are a bit up in air- there are no holders, everything becomes a bit short term - up to WC etc.

I haven't really looked at it though. Obv if you would keep him in a wct then keep him anyway, but I tihnk flexibility in the run it will reward

      1. Demí
        • 14 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

Yes that first statement is very true, got to be careful though with the likes of Ozil and Payet who you'd want for their DGW's, but have lots of value tied up in them.

    7. Postman Ty
      • 11 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

why sell, honestly. he's far superior to a cheap 5th mid regardless of fixtures and isn't too much more expensive. but his fixtures aren't that bad at all; liverpool leak goals all the time, united keep stumbling, stoke have regressed a bit, and west brom cant defend anymore.

      1. Demí
        • 14 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

Yeah i agree he's superior to the other cheap mids and is fantastic VFM. It's just the fixtures and playing the percentages. Plus everyone has him and there's only so many gameweeks left to catch up or increase your advantage with differentials

        1. Postman Ty
          • 11 Years
          9 years, 9 months ago

I agree with the differential aspect. I think he'll do good, but he's definitely not 'essential' and if you get a few good cheap punts till the end it can get you a lot of green arrows.

Which transfer would you rather do to field XI next gw... (if Arsenal win vs Hull)

    A) Payet --> Siggy (play 3-4-3)

    B) Borthwick-Jackson --> Francis / Smith (cannot afford Daniels, have 0.1 ITB) (play 4-3-3)

If B... is Smith nailed or is in danger that Elphick comes back to starting XI with Francis moving to RB position? Basicaly need him just for next gw

Why did McCarthy play over Hennessey? Hennessey likely to play in GW31?

Injured and probably. He was only a doubt for this week

hennessy has a small (but undisclosed as far as i know) injury. i'd imagine he'll come back in assuming not crocked, after mccarthy howler today

Watched City this weekend and thought YYT was non existent but for a lucky goal in his one move forward. Not sure I'd rush to bring him in when after next week Payet and Firmino are the same price and infinitely more attacking.

I have him and I was not impressed. But...one goal is all he needs. Happy to get him over Silva but Firmino and Payet are superior at the moment.

Yeah best to assess after the Norwich game

Funny as a Silva owner, I thought Yaya was a threat. Probably the reverse true for Yaya owners

2 shots and 4 chances created. Not too shabby. Like you I don't think he has the potential of Firmino or Payet, but he does have the fixtures and in the next 5 gameweeks he (in theory) plays 2 more matches, which does need to be taken into accout.

I've got him and will switch him for Firmino after this week. Had to bring in someone and for a 2 week punt I'd have taken 10 points so doesn't owe me anything anyway!

I'm eying up Firmino from gw31. No idea how I'll make it happen though... I have a feeling that KKV locks up too much cash up front.

Overall competition wide open; 30 odd points between top 50. Appears everyone has the same team!

Any of you guys get rid of Firmino for the last two games? I mistakenly put more faith in Barkley. I thought Liverpool wouldn't respond well to that Cup defeat but we're more mentally strong under Klopp it seems.

OK to save? Team seems very strong - it'll all end with a damp squib I spec

Actually hoping for an Arsenal blank

    Forster
    Kompany Simpson Toby
    Silva Mahrez Alli Siggy
    K K V

    McC / Wolly / Bellerin / Ozil

    1 FT, 0.7m ITB

I think the most damning indictment of Palace's run is that they lost to Villa

I think the most damning indictment of this season's Premier League is that Villa have somehow gotten 16 points.

Especially considering all those dead teams which wont actually use any of them... The rankings will massively shift over the next 10 gameweeks....

Feels a touch and goes down.

I guess lots of players would have, but im not sure it was penalty worthy

Anyone at an OR around 100K? Saw the post at the top of the page, but those dizzying heights might be too tough a climb.
