In spite of a five-match Gameweek, there’s still plenty to pore over in our first members’ article of the week. We cast an eye over City’s troubles on the road, Bournemouth’s upturn in output, Marko Arnautovic’s home comforts and the contrasting fortunes of Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy up front in recent matches.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Best 2 options til the end of the season for one of my draft leagues?

    A.) Mata (2 DGWs!)
    B.) Willian
    C.) Lamela
    D.) Arnautovic

Thanks both....I was thinking Mata and one of Arnie / Willian, so that confirms it.

For those who are planning to play the wildcard in GW 33, should we be worried about rotation for City and Liverpool players assuming they dispense of United this week.

City have CL quarter finals before GW 33 and GW 34 and of course Liverpool will have Europa. What are the chances Kun will get a rest comsidering City are probably out of the running for the league esp if the tie is on a knife edge?

Dangerous loading up on too many Pool and City players.

And if City get through to Semis, their CL ties will be before GW 35 and 36.

City still need to get at least 4th spot but your point is valid.... Pool on the other hand...

makes the case for keeping Kane, Ali, Mahrez

True. I said too many Pool players
I think Mignolet, Firmimo is enough Pool.
Kun is enough City I think esp if Kompany is out. I wouldn't put it past Pelle to rest Hart for one game

Does he genuinely have a problem playing at home, or are we spotting patterns and drawing false conclusions?

You would think the data analysts at Spurs would advise Poch not to play him then.

I don't have BB but do have TC and WC.

I've always been a 'WC in 33, TC in 34' kinda guy but the lack of genuine triple captain choices in 34, some poor fixtures for DGW34 teams in GW33 (i.e. Arsenal away at West Ham, United away at Tottenham) and the potential of a Everton TGW in 37 is enticing me to WC in 34 and save my TC until 37.

Anyone else (without BB) considering this?

    Rojo - Kompany - Cresswell
    Firmino - Sanchez (Triple C) - Ozil - Mahrez

    Going Aguero-less in a GW33 WC?

Like everyone else ive been looking at potential squads for a WC in 33 & with the commen concensses that we should maximise our DGW player & use the bench boost 34 instead of the TC. Im starting to think it make sense to maybe drop Aguero out.

Chelsea at home is far from easy & a Benitez led Castle could be a tougher propostion than first thought.

For example if we went with say Martial at roughly £7m less. That would allow for De Gea instead of Elliot & Payet instead of Henderson etc etc.

Its a risk no doubt but with little intention of TC 34 at the moment i think its something worth considering atleast.

    Punt or Plan?

For those playing to use WC in GW33, is the plan to punt your way there. Or plan by buying in some key players for the DGW that are likely to rise in price to avoid the possibility of being 0.1 off your ideal team.

    I.e: Lukaku possible rise tonight

I don't think Bournemouth will ever play to take a point, which is why theyre such a breath of fresh air in the prem. They'll go to Spurs playing their attacking football, and knowing that any result is a bonus! They are safe.

Pretty much, but I don't think that will be in Howe's team talk.

Si I was planning on transferring out VVD for a double up on the Swansea defence (risky I know) but with Kompany out should I use both my FT and get someone like Azpilicueta in as well??

    A) VVD & Kompany -> Azpilicueta & Fernandez?? Already have Williams
    B) Just one of the above??
    C) Any other defensive ideas?

Which defender is the best pick for the next two weeks? Money no object.

    A) McCauley (NOR,sun)
    B) Williams (AVL,stk)
    C) Bellerin (eve,WAT)
    D) Ivanovic (WHU,avl)
    E) Other....?

Have Toby, VVD, Fuchs, Smith and Kompany. WC in 33.

this Kompany injury could be a blessing in disguise if he's out for a while, it free's up 1m with Mangala as a replacement

This is probably really premature, but what do you guys think of this potential GW 34 team?
Depay looks like a weird one, but with Villa home, and him being a bully of weaker teams, I think the punt is worth it.

    Mignolet Robles

    Olson Targett Clyne Cresswell Simpson
    Firmino Sanchez Depay Yaya Wij
    Ighalo Kun Giroud

It's not 13 double GW players, but Simpson and Targett are so cheap i feel it's worth keeping. It's also 11 for the next GW excluding FTs

    Any opinions more than welcome!
