I rate it very highly. Don't even think of taking out Bellerin! Double Liverpool defense is a slight risk but Cech can't punish you as much as Bellerin can. I heard one of the Scout's say Smalling is overpriced. What about de Gea in for Mig and Clichy in for de Gea?

DGW Survey Results - sample size of 60

    1. How many Palace players?

    0 - 15 votes - 25%
    1 - 24 votes - 40%
    2 - 19 votes - 32%
    3 - 2 votes - 3%

    2. How many Everton players?

    1 - 6 votes - 10%
    2 - 25 votes - 42%
    3 - 29 votes - 48%

    3. Arsenal - double DF or MF?

    Defence - 35 votes - 63%
    Midfield - 21 votes - 38%

    4. Which United defender?

    Smalling - 26 votes - 46%
    De Gea - 13 votes - 23%
    None - 17 votes - 30%

    5. 3rd striker (asked out of Kane, Mitrovic, Martial)?

    Martial - 30 votes - 50%
    Mitrovic - 12 votes - 20%
    Kane - 12 votes - 20%
    Other - 6 votes - 10%

    6. KDB - Yes or no?

    Yes - 25 votes - 42%
    No - 35 votes - 58%

    What we learned:

    - Despite lack of form, plenty are playing the numbers and loading up on Palace & Everton
    - Ozil may prove to be a differential with most favouring the Arsenal double DF
    - Smalling looks the preferred route, although many content to go without given price tag
    - Martial favoured with his 2 easy fixtures but Mitrovic and Kane both viable alternatives
    - Plenty would like KDB but do not have the funds for him; perhaps this may change tomorrow depending on City's performance in the CL

Currently got Mitro, Sakho and Jags in my WC draft. All currently same price I bought them at.

To guard against KDB price rise tonight I can do:

    Alli -> KDB
    Sakho -> Ryan Bennett 3.9
    Jags -> Targett 3.8
    Mitro -> Emnes 4.1

See where I'm going with this? WC is active so il get KDB before he rises and then obviously get the 3 crappy players out again. Only other way is to take OZIL out and I'm still not sure if I'm keeping or not so don't want to.

    This is all fine, right?

KDB - should he be in our teams?

It's never that simple. We're all working with different budgets now and different priorities. For some getting, Kun, Sanchez, Lukaku, Payet, KDB and Pool mid into the same team may not even be possible, you have to work with what you have

    I say

    a) Decide on your own personal must haves and build around them, rank them in order so that you can decide who to take out if funds are tight
    b) consider that's it not just about KDB and how well he will do, it's about pairings. So if KDB forces you to get Saylor for example, is he really worth it over Payet or Coutinho who cost 2m less opening up options to get a better defender. Don't shoehorn anyone in because you think you need to have him, and destroy other elements of the team to do it,

for me, I am not getting him for the same reason I am not getting Kane. I only have funds for 1 10m+ player alongside Kun, for me i want that player to be Sanchez

now if Kun were to get injured tomorrow then I would likely ditch a Pool mid for KDB and put Sturridge in, but that's not happened yet.

      He's very tempting.

After much thought, I have decided against him . . . I think.

I'm keeping Ozil instead. He has great fixtures and Arsenal,
as of now at least, have something to play for and no other
      competitions to worry about.

Plus, there are so many good midfield options -- Sanchez is
a must, Payet is a must. Then you have Liverpool, and Ozil.

Plus, I worry about KDB's fitness (and Champions League),
though he sure looked good last weekend.

If he tears it up tomorrow, I may have to rethink.

    Cech - Robles
    Smalling - Morgan - Moreno - Clichy - Monreal
    Payet - KDB - Sanchez - Firmino - Lingard
    Kane - Mitrovic - Lukaku

Taking a HUGE risk and currently going without aguero for the DGW's. I wanted to keep Kane and needed to bring in Lukaku, so Aguero forced me to have Iwobi, Lingard and Darmian, none of which are assured starters.

I haven't heard that Kompany will be back that quickly, that's just a couple of weeks. With pellegreini in charge there is a chance demechlles we start, he shouldn't get near the team but unfortunately he might. I wouldn't go clichy, kolorov, sagna or zabaletta cause all of them are rotation risks with each other.

    Ozil --> Sanchez done:

    Robles
    Bellerin | Sakho | Ward
    Sanchez | Payet | Mahrez | Bolasie
    Aguero | Kane | Lukaku

Mignolet | van Aanholt | Lingard | Gabriel

Is it crazy to TC Lukaku after his poor performance?

Not crazy but I wouldn't do it. Big call!

Yeah I've gone 180 degrees on that one. His stats and general performance mean he should get plenty of minutes

Anyone shed some light on Bolasie, is he regarded as one of Palace's best attacking players?

Basically, will he be too important to drop?

Best attacking player for them. Nailed and sometimes oop. Trouble is can you trust Palace?

I remember a comment on here about a DGW that took place in January 2012, I cant remember who said it but it was "twice times rubbish is still rubbish". It is a good philosophy for DGWs because taking punts on seriously out of form players/teams and ditching players who are in great form and playing well, might not be the way to go.

For me Lukaku for Kane is an obvious choice as they have similar stats, Lukaku is less expensive plus he has two double gameweeks in a row. As a rough guide, points per every 90 minutes:

        Kane: 5.86 (184 points (2825 min / 90))
        33: Man Utd (H)
        34: Stoke (A)

        Lukaku: 5.85 (169 point (2599 min / 90))
        33: Watford (A), Crystal Palace (A)
        34: Southampton (H), Liverpool (A)

Looking at the next two weeks, I'd rather have Lukaku. The risk comes in week 35 when Lukaku doesn't play and Kane does against WBA (H). There's a strong possibility I will swap them back then.

It seems like I will risk and go without Payet until GW 37. Thoughts about this draft?

    DDG Darlow
    Bellerin Gabriel Sakho Mangala Delaney
    Sanchez KDB Coutinho Lennon Lanzini
    Aguero Lukaku Martial

IMO Payet is essential - perhaps drop DDG or Mangala down and upgrade Lennon?

I think it's madness to go without Utd defence. Perhaps Coutinho to Milner?

True - practically guaranteed 8pts at least. Maybe Martial to Mitrovic & Bellerin to Monreal?

Got Bellerin early, so not a big difference.

i would feel naked without payet, but i suppose lanzini is some kind of reasonable cover at that price

Is this WC midfield too weak?

    Sanchez - Payet - Coutinho - Lanzini - Lingard

Can you upgrade Lingard? That's what I'd look to do

Only by getting rid of Kane! Or could downgrade Sanchez to Ozil and then free up cash to upgrade Lingard!

Downgrade Defense- Smalling at least 🙂

Don't really like Lingard. Low team value or a lot of money on strikers, defenders and keepers?

        Keepers are cheap

Defence is Bellerin, Gabriel, Smalling, Sakho, Delaney

        Kun, Kane, Kaku up top

I guess you'll have to just go with him then if you want to keep Kane.

Pls which of these WC teams and what changes would you make? Thanks

    Team A (0.5 ITB)
    Robles Darlow
    Gabriel Bellerin Smalling** Sakho Simpson
    KDB Sanchez Payet Mahrez Coutinho
    Aguero Lukaku Rashford**

    Team B (0 ITB)
    Robles Darlow
    Gabriel Bellerin Mangala** Sakho Simpson
    KDB Sanchez Payet Mahrez Coutinho
    Aguero Lukaku Mitrovic**

    WC team so far is
    Migs/Robles
    Gabriel/Bellerin/Darmian/Fuchs/Delaney
    Alli/Coutinho/Payet/Sanchez/Mahrez
    Lukaku/Aguero/Mitrovic
    £2.1m in bank

Thinking of GW35 and saving a FT in GW34 and leaving enough to upgrade/downgrade where needed...thoughts?

Desperate to get De Bruyne in but who to drop....

    a) Sanchez
    b) Payet
    c) Mahrez
    d) Coutinho
    e) Axe Lukaku for a cheaper forward to free up funds (Deeney?)

You really don't need him if it destroys the rest of your team.

Can you afford a Mahrez to KBD straight swap?

Of those you listed, that seems best.
