Roberto Firmino is back in contention for Liverpool’s home clash with Stoke, though the Reds have major concerns over Jordan Henderson. West Ham duo Sam Byram and James Collins are not yet ready to return, Aaron Ramsey could be back in the Arsenal squad, whilst Yohan Cabaye and Connor Wickham are passed fit for Palace’s double Gameweek.

Roberto Firmino returned to action with a sub appearance in Liverpool’s draw with Dortmund last night. Jordan Henderson could be set for a stint on the sidelines, though – the Reds’ skipper was forced off with a knee injury at the break, with Jurgen Klopp conceding that the initial prognosis “doesn’t look good”.

Sam Byram and James Collins will return to training for West Ham today but will remain sidelined for the weekend clash with Arsenal. Cheick Kouyate is available for selection after the FA rescinded a three-match ban triggered by his dismissal against Palace last Saturday.

Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini are expected to be available for Arsenal’s trip to Upton Park after stepping up their recoveries in training. Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky will step up their recoveries with a run-out for the reserves this evening.

Yohan Cabaye and Connor Wickham have been passed fit for Palace’s clash with Norwich this weekend. Emmanuel Adebayor faces a late fitness test, whilst James McArthur and Brede Hangeland remain on the sidelines.

Adam Smith is a doubt for Bournemouth’s trip to Villa after he was forced off with a hernia problem against City last weekend. Harry Arter, Benik Afobe and Stanislas are still unavailable, whilst Callum Wilson is “not far away” from returning after months on the sidelines with knee ligament damage.

Andre Ayew is available for Swansea’s clash with Chelsea after recovering from a calf complaint. Leon Britton and Jordi Amat are both doubts due to back problems.

Shane Long is back in contention for Southampton’s home match with Newcastle, though Steven Davis will miss out with an ankle problem picked up against Leicester last weekend.

Gareth Barry is available for Everton’s double Gameweek after serving out a two-match ban in last week’s loss to United. Leon Osman and Steven Pienaar are expected to recover from knocks in time for tomorrow’s trip to Watford.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Sorry for the combos but which would you prefer chaps?

    A) Migs - Sakho - Smalling - Kos - Iwobi
    B) Migs - Clyne - Darmian - Bellerin - Iwobi
    C) Darlow - Sakho - Gabriel - Bellerin - Mahrez

Anyone considering Lukaku for GW33 and then transfer for GW34 to Martial? Not convinced that Lukaku is a worthy investment for GW34 given the fixtures.
(Plan is Lukaku, Kun and Mitrovic GW33, Martial Kun and Mitrovic GW34)

Bournemouth are leaking goals. Just get a forward line this week and stick through 34 imo.

Interesting point! My thinking on Lukaku to Martial is I can free up the funds that having both would cost (plus I fancy Mitrovic, but not sure I can live without a) Lukaku with a DGW in 33 and b) a United forward in GW34!) - might need to rethink though.....

That was my draft one. But I really want KDB and Sanchez in midfield, and I can't seem to get a defence I'm happy with if I take Kun Lukaku and Martial for 33.

  6. Still Unsure

OK, I have two possible teams, one of which I need to decide on before I go WC crazy. I'm currently just inside the top 5k so don't want to take too many risks ideally. Thoughts appreciated as always.

    Team A (0 ITB)
    Mignolet - Robles
    Smalling - Bellerin - Gabriel - Sakho - Simpson
Sanchez - Coutinho - Payet - Lanzini - Mahrez (maybe Townsend?)
    Kane - Lukaku - Kun

    Team B (0 ITB)
    DDG - Robles
    Smalling - Bellerin - Gabriel - Sakho - Simpson
    Sanchez - KDB - Milner - Lennon - Lingard
    Kane - Lukaku - Kun

I was all over Team B until I got to the Lennon/Lingard axis of awful and now I'm undecided 🙁

Probably still Team B but it's a close one.

      1. Still Unsure
        10 years, 4 months ago

What's leaning to towards B? Double Utd defence? KDB?
I think A is maybe more balanced, but it's missing KDB...

Both of those things, yes. Basically I fancy Man Utd to get more clean sheets than Liverpool and De Bruyne has the ability to go big for the rest of the season (albeit he isn't in my WC team)

Right, you can blame Andy for this as he's sowing seeds of doubt in my mind all of a sudden.

If anyone can be bothered to help you're a saint. I've got two possible WC teams and based on my planned transfers/benching decisions (I know, I know, none of it will go to plan) the differentials between those two teams are:

    Team 1
    -------------
    Cech (CPL/WBA, sun, NOR, AVL)
    Robles (lei/sun)
    Sakho (STO, bou/EVE, NEW, WAT/CHE)
    Fuchs (mun)
    van Aanholt (wat)

    Team 2
    -------------
    Mignolet (bou/EVE, NEW, WAT/CHE)
    Robles (BOU, NOR)
Bellerin (whm, CPL/WBA, sun, NOR, AVL)
    Fuchs (EVE)

Team 1 squeezes an extra fixture out of the players but does that make it better...?

Ha! Btw - I can't afford Cech+Fuchs because I didn't factor in money needed to ugprade Bolasie so I'm safe from tinkering 🙂

Also you have 5 players in one team and 4 in the other - what am I missing?

        Cech + Simpson then? 😉

The lists are just the differences between the two teams between now and the end of the season - van Aanholt is in both but he'd be benched in one more week in Team 2.

Am I correct in thinking that if you're on a wildcard now there's no way to get 15 DGWers for 34, 11 out for 35, AND 11 DGWers for 37 without taking a hit?

with the six this week, I haven't found a way. I've personally got 3 DGW for 33, 14 DGW for 34, 11 for 35, and with transfers 9/10 DGW for 37. No doubt I'll change my mind 45 times today though!

I would add that I'm not convinced busting your balls for 6 DGW this week is the correct strategy - I'm going for 3, and thinking more of GW34. Each to their own though!

      Robles Darlow

      Sanchez Countinho Firmino Barkley Payet
      Lukaku Aguero Wickam

      5 DGW in GW 33
15 DGW BB in GW 34
      11 in GW 35(dann+wickam to azpi+defoe)
2 more transfers for 11 DGW in GW 37...

I'm 2nd in my H2H league 6 points behind the leader and 3 points ahead of 3rd. I'm playing 3rd this week and top is playing bottom. I want to put Lukaku in my team for the coming weeks as no one has him in as of yet. I have a couple of things I could do to get him in but I'm unsure... any advise to help me would be great

    A) Kane for Lukaku
    B) Vardy, Ozil & Sagna for Lukaku, KDB & Taggett (-8 Points)
    C) Kane & Ozil for Lukaku & Sanchez (-4 Points)
    D) Leave my team

    Current Team:

    Cech - Hennessey
    Bellerin - Fuchs - Dier - Sagna - Wollscheid
    Payet - Alli - Ozil - Lingard - Mahrez
    Aguero - Kane - Vardy

If I bring in Martial and KDB
And then when Martial has his blank I could bring back Kane and also Firmino for Kane and Sanchez/KDB

What do your WC defenses look like? Not many great options apart from the usual Arsenal/Manutd/Pool.. And why has Sakho been replaced by Lovren all of a sudden in people's teams and the watchlist?
My current WC defense for what it's worth is
    Robles Darlow
    Smalling Gabriel Sakho Simpson Bellerin
