The current lull in Euro 2016 action allows us to focus on domestic matters once again as we roll out the first in a series of pre-season members articles that evaluate the performance levels of each individual team over the 2015/16 campaign.

Kicking off with Arsenal, we analyse the team data to get a perspective on their season in comparison to 2014/15 in a bid to spot trends and improvements. We then focus on their squad, assessing goal threat and creativity for all the key individuals in a bid to put some priority on potential targets for the forthcoming campaign.

      I've spread the risk and have most of the key players in from each side and even if my 2 lowest ownership players progress ie 4+1=5 (+6ft) I'll still have 11 bar reds/Injury.

        You've opted for a low risk strategy, which also means a low reward. Your approach is to hope for the players you have selected to score points, which is going to be very difficult and the chances are low.

          It gets quite boring at these stages, almost impossible to catchup to leaders unless you have a freak captain differential or put all your eggs in one basket.

    What's the best strategy for those of us 'behind' in our Mini-Leagues? Punt on the teams you think will go through to the final? Look at differentials like Jonny Williams, Howedes, João Mário etc?

    Basically .... How can I still win my mini league ha ha

    My thinking now is, go for it, i'll either come first or last.

        Cheers, I am thinking the fringe players coming in tonight/tomorrow - Collins, J.Williams, Howedes - and those who start who people ignore - Nani, Robson-Kanu, Ledley etc.

        Hope they step up, really wanted to put in Kimmich but he is listed as a Midfielder so no point.

      Andy King is strongly 'rumoured' to replace Ramsey so he's a good differential and yes, João Mário is a good alternative to Sanches.

        Currently I am in 4th:

        - 6 points behind 3rd
        - 19 points behind 2nd
        - 53 points behind 1st (lost cause)

        My aim is 2nd as there's cash on offer for runner up.

        I have pulled the trigger on my team - Can't see past Bale as captain .... Put in J.Williams, A.Williams, Howedes, Nani and Guerreiro as my differentials.

    Who do you guys believe the priority is in terms of strikers, i.e. which of the four teams to drop?

    I currently own Muller and Bale. Lukaku to transfer out.

    Leading rival by 20 points and they have Giroud - therefore feel I need to get him to cover.

    Also surely Ronaldo is the captaincy option for day 1?

    Therefore Thinking of getting both Giroud and Ronaldo, replacing Lukaku and Muller. Have 6 players out to replace (incl. Ramsey) but if I go with this strategy will just leave the banned Ramsey in. But Muller looks a good option also?

      I think they're going to go with the old 4-6 formation and hope to get an own-goal off a corner. Otherwise Lowe might just sniff out a goal himself.

              Yes I can't see Low playing wing-backs so the only real starting risk towards the business end is Gotze imho because he might surprise us with the "centre-forward".

    Morning all. FPL cant come fast enough. Tinkering needs to start.

    Some people from twitter are suggesting that Sanchez and Firmino are classified as forwards now?! There is no reason this can be accurate without the game being released or am i missing something?

      They are listed as forwards on PL site, causing the worry.

      However, Sanchez was listed as a forward before FPL was released last year.

    Do you prefer Gotze or Muller as attacking cover for Germany?

    If I went Gotze I'd probably go Bale instead of Muller. If I went Muller I'd likely keep Ramsey and upgrade a defender

            They played 3 at the back? Howedes was the RCB. Kimmich and Hector were wingbacks. That system was just used to counter Italy's system. Before that, Hector and Kimmich have been the fullbacks.

    Who do you think Low will prefer as a replacement for Khedira/Schweinsteiger at CDM?

    Can only has a handful of caps with the senior squad and Weigl has no experience at all but had a breakout season at Dortmund.
