Our series of members’ articles, which review the numbers behind the 2015/16 season, continues this evening with an assessment of Everton.

To get underway, we cast an eye over the Toffees’ team data, comparing them to the rest of the top-flight, before analysing their first-team squad, key goal threats and creative sources in an attempt to gain insight on their prospects for the season ahead.

The Merseysiders will, of course, have a new man in charge after Ronald Koeman replaced Roberto Martinez in the hotseat. Everton finished in eleventh spot in each of the Spaniard’s final two campaigns at the helm, accruing 47 points on both occasions, though a drop in resilience saw them concede 55 times in 2015/16 – a defensive record only better than the bottom five.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Probably old news on here but is what the game's Facebook page replied to me on FB Messenger:

"The 2016/17 season is currently scheduled for release during the week commencing July 18 and, as soon as we can be more specific, we'll let you know via this page."

Looks like a cut and paste job

Simly googling that leads you to The Telegraph fantasy football page,

"The TFF 2016/17 season is currently scheduled for release during the week commencing July 18 and, as soon as we can be more specific, we'll let you know via ..."

Someone has just deleted the "TFF" bit

As this story gathers press momentum-it'll be one of the questions for conte's first press conference thursday.
Looking forward to this season as the array of EPL managers ,and charecters,is fantastic-we better not get used to it-I speculate that most of the preseason action next year will be china based-they have the monies and are willing to pay-pelle sixth biggest football earner in the world now

Is GW 1 all about luck or is there a way of getting a good start? I mean I can't remember the last time I started the season well and my GW1 team makes me cringe when I look back towards the end of the season and normally have to waste my wildcard on GW2.

      GW1 is a weird one.

It feels like you'll playing a wildcard and you expect big returns but unknowns about player/team form; player availability or starting prospects tend to throw curve balls.

You could pick any week at random and if it was a bad one decided to wildcard. I think take the first 3-weeks and trust your judgement. Knee-jerking early isn't good.

Exceptions being you've got players who are injured; out-of-favour; being rested or there's a clear starting alternative not hitherto considered.

    http://www.football365.com/news/time-to-embrace-new-england-overlord-allardyce?

BFS-the national team gets a national manager that fits the national charecter
    conte italy and so on.
So england happy with a 'scrapper' with a main claim to fame that he avoids relegation...what a stupid lack of ambition idea.
oh yes from the nation that voted with that mentality a fews back...why should i be suprised.

Seems a bit harsh on Allardici that. I'd say getting Bolton into Europe ranks alongside his knack of avoiding relegation.

Even last season he managed to rescue a Sunderland team that looked dead and buried, and he made some of the best signings of the January transfer window to do it.

If there was a bunch of talented, experienced English managers knocking around then I don't think we'd be considering him, but of the options out there I think he's the best

It is uninspiring. The FA have still got to pay off a fair chunk of their 800M stadium. I'm not sure that only half-filling it for Internations is part of the plan.

The biggest part of international management IMO is attitude and how a manager can improve and inspire players to play above and beyond themselves.

How anybody ever thought Hodgson could do that is beyond me.

England is a 2nd tier football national team (at best). Someone with the attention to detail, discipline and tactical acumen might actually get them to perform above the norm.

England are a poor team in terms of national football, when you try to play the likes of Spain and Germany at their own game you dont stand a chance, I think your best chance of success is under someone like Allardyce by playing direct football, he'll get the best out of the likes of Kane. He knows what system works for his teams and wont go into a huge competition trying to play all the best players, he will play the best player for the formation he plays. Just look at Portugal for inspiration, poor team but solid unit and tough to beat, take Ronaldo out that team and I dont think they are much better than England.

I'm a bit concerned for Swansea this season. Think they might struggle. Siggy could still be worth it though, depending on his price.
