Dugout Discussion – West Ham vs Bournemouth

The London Stadium hosts the final match of Gameweek 2 as West Ham attempt to settle in their plush new home.

Slaven Bilic’s side host a Bournemouth outfit who claimed a 4-3 victory in the same fixture just over a year ago, via a Callum Wilson hat-trick.

Looking at the West Ham teamsheet, Eddie Howe’s men will fancy their chances again.

The Hammers head into this encounter without both Andy Carroll and Dimitri Payet – the latter “felt something” after his appearance at Chelsea on Monday night, whilst Carroll has sustained a knee injury which will keep him out for a number of weeks according to Slaven Bilic.

As for the Cherries, they appear to have changed shape and seem to be going on the attack: Howe has introduced Ryan Fraser on the flank, with Lewis Cook dropping out.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

          I'd definetly get rid of both Musa and Oscar. In that case it's a good transfer, but I'd look to swap him (Stuani) out in a few weeks for better striker.

    Eriksen worth transfering out ? He plays Liverpool next and given how many goals they conceded he could deliver. He could score either from FK or provide assists, though I have to admit I haven't watched much of Spurs' games.

    So does Valdes need to get shipped now with the 1 FT I have. If so suggestions at 4.5 can't go to Foster due to price rise. Heaton but Chelsea away not good this week?
    Other option hold FT and GW 4 do something like Mahrez + Diomande to Antonio + Negredo.

              He got 4 saves and only conceded 1 to Spurs away so not in a bad form I guess. Didn't see the game so hard to say if he made any crucial mistakes which could lead to him being replaced.

    Which do you guys think looks best for shipping Carroll:

    A) Carroll - Negredo
    B) Firmino and Carroll - Barkley and Benteke (-4)

    A is probably sensible but B is oh so tempting.

      Very similar team to my own.

      -4 hits are very rarely worthwile for defence so I would avoid.

      If they're transfers you're set on and you have cash itb you could do stones -> walker this week before price rise and then azpi -> valencia the following.

      To be honest though ditching azpi this week seems a bad idea with a home fixture with Burnley so I'd definitely avoid that.

      Personally I'd do stones -> collins before his price rise now with his plum fixtures upcoming and bank the £0.5m for future tinkering.

    Looking at the bigger picture, this could well be a good year for the FPL community. Last year we all had problems making our general awesomeness felt partly due to the number of cheap nailed on options that prevented us bringing our budget management skills to bear. With Aguero, Ibra and Hazard tying down over a third of our budgets for three quality options, I think we should be able to do much better this year.
