Dugout Discussion – West Ham vs Bournemouth

The London Stadium hosts the final match of Gameweek 2 as West Ham attempt to settle in their plush new home.

Slaven Bilic’s side host a Bournemouth outfit who claimed a 4-3 victory in the same fixture just over a year ago, via a Callum Wilson hat-trick.

Looking at the West Ham teamsheet, Eddie Howe’s men will fancy their chances again.

The Hammers head into this encounter without both Andy Carroll and Dimitri Payet – the latter “felt something” after his appearance at Chelsea on Monday night, whilst Carroll has sustained a knee injury which will keep him out for a number of weeks according to Slaven Bilic.

As for the Cherries, they appear to have changed shape and seem to be going on the attack: Howe has introduced Ryan Fraser on the flank, with Lewis Cook dropping out.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Holding - not certain he'll play but if he does its gold

    Long owners time to ditch?
    Got a couple of potential decent fixtures (SUN and SWA gw 3 and 5)coming up but been subbed off twice and could even be dropped?
    Also have Redmond so feels like Saints overkill.

    should I do carroll to negredo now or wait until the weekend? Just thinking of a double price rise+drop from the two and the midweek fixtures. I only have 1FT so I would be naked in case someone gets injured

    Hi all,

    Apologies, I appreciate that a lot of posts on here are Carroll related so here's another! Prices seem to be changing a lot quicker this year than normally and players going up .1 has messed up my plans. I was quite happy with my team but priorities for the door (in order) are Carroll, Firminho, Townsend and Leko.

    I have 1FT but no beans.

    What do people think of the following:

    A) Carroll to gray (not convinced by him)
    B) Carroll + Firminho - negredo + Barkley (-4)
    C) Carroll + Firminho + Townsend - negredo + martial + 5m midfielder (-8)

      I'd downgrade a defender - don't touch firminho - he'll come good

      why have you got two 4.5 good defenders on the bench when you have those three pretty much always playing ahead of them?

        Yeah good point. Wanted 2 playing defenders as subs and wasn't sure which 4m defenders were nailed on at start. Good call re Amat. Just not sure about Firminho and those fixtures aren't pleasant...

        Benteke was fantasy gold a few years back - he hasn't kicked a ball in anger in years and CP aren't creating much. I'm happy to be proved wrong but I think people are getting carried away there.
