Suspensions

The FA have this afternoon charged Sergio Aguero with alleged violent conduct following his altercation with Winston Reid in City’s 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad last weekend.

City’s top scorer now has until 6pm tomorrow to contest the charge and, if found guilty, is set to serve a three-match domestic ban.

He would sit out the Gameweek 4 and 5 encounters against United and Bournemouth, as well as City’s EFL Cup trip to Swansea on September 20.

Aguero would then be available for the Gameweek 6 visit to the Liberty four days later.

Given the nature of the altercation, Aguero’s flailing arm gives him little hope of avoiding suspension.

Owned by over 52% of Fantasy Premier League managers, he’s already suffered significant sales after withdrawing from Argentina duties with a calf problem.

Should confirmation come tomorrow, the exodus will kick into overdrive as we look to spend the budget freed up by his departure from our squads.

For the 43.2% who don’t yet own him, Zlatan Ibrahimovic offers an easy swap for those who are seeking a place-holder for the City striker.

Chelsea’s Diego Costa looks reinvigorated under Antonio Conte and, along with Wayne Rooney, is one of only two forwards to produce returns in each of the first three Gameweeks.

The Aguero news comes at a time where Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez served a reminder of their big-hitter potential in midfield with double-figure weekend returns.

Whilst the temptation to invest the Aguero funds heavily in midfield is strong, keeping the door open for an easy return looks a wise move given his form under Pep Guardiola.

Have the exact funds to do:

    Aguero, Townsend, Llorente
    to
    Ozil, Lukaku, Benteke
    (-4)

    Go for it?

Better current options, city not keeping clean sheets, limited attacking potential, tough fixtures and dropping price are why i got rid... Will likely get him back in cheaper when fixtures improve

      Who should I keep -

      Tadic (ars, SWAN)
      Mahrez (liv, BURN)

Not going to make any transfers until after the international break but at the moment I'm thinking one of the above and then Pieters > Williams

Wait? Use WC? Sell Kun and get him on WC or the other way around? Make transfer today? Help me please. What's your opinion?

With 2FT you have the perfect opportunity to lose Kun and get good replacements now - many are forced to WC whereas you can save yours to get Kun back in.

Thats a lot of cash on your bench plus a possible price drop. Easy enough to bring him back in a few game weeks assuming you don't spread the cash to much.

i have a decent team for the next two gameweeks even with him on the bench. if i sell him and buy him back, that's two free transfers wasted. i have already used my wc and got a couple of other shady players, so i'd prefer to keep those fts on them.

not really. WC now, don't use a transfer next week (because it's stupid to following a WC) and then have 2 in the bank ready to act or take a hit if need be

i already used mine, so that's out the window.

but even with the wc, i feel like there are better options. you're still basically planning to use two fts to get him back in, since you'll have to downgrade a mid. if someone else gets injured or starts sucking or gets dropped, you'll have to take a hit to deal with that.

I wouldn't say it's worth it. In my case if I held on to him it would be Tadic and Capoue vs Lukaku and Sanchez starting. imo it's well worth the two transfers to get Kaku and Sanchez a run.

This is my current team, no FT:

      Foster / Jaku
      Valencia / Walker / Stones / Friend / Amat
      Hazard / Sterling / Lamela / Redmond / Capoue
      Aguero / Ibra / Gray

Would you wildcard? I'm interested in replacing Amat and Jaku with more permanent options, downgrading Stones. perhaps replacing Walker and/or Friend due to injury and obviously there's the Aguero dilemma. Also Lamela -> Cazorla is tempting. But none of these changes are essential, would you wildcard or save it for later?

Just curious, who are the 6? Nyom, Janmaat, Dja-Djedje? Paredes, but he can play as a winger as well. And I think they are selling Nyom.

Nyom and Paredes were there already. Dja Djejde, Janmaat, Mariappa and Zuniga (a versatile right wing-back). Even if Mariappa was signed as a CB, they still have 5 players for the same position.

          C. Benteke
          D. Negredo

            Luk (good fixtures)

Can have a look at my team scenario bro? Comment a bit above.

Most think he'll keep his place for another 2-3 games or until he stops performing. There's no chance Marshall will be on the bench long-term, he's a far better keeper.

I think we are all underestimating Kane too much as Kun replacement... Is he definitely a worst option than Lukaku???

Struggling. Rondon fixtures but dont trust wba attack.. gray is best in my opinion but chance of ban. Diomande cheap but is he any good? Negredo already up by .3 so reluctant to buy. Hmmm what to do

            A) Lukaku + Benteke

Well yes you have a point but I think that a " Lukaku + Benteke " who both have good fixtures will probably outscore " Defoe + Vardy ".

            Not sure what to do:

            Heaton Jaku
            Morgan Souare Stones Evans Pieters
            Tadic Mahrez Hazard Ramirez Capoue
            Aguero Zlatan Gray

            I've got 2 FT. Do I do

            A) Aguero and Stones > Costa and Williams
            B) Stones and Mahrez > Baines and Lamela (play 3-5-2 with Aguero on bench)
            C) Wildcard
            D) 2 different transfers (who?!)

Gray is going to be banned

You could do Gray, Aguero > 2 of Lukaku/Costa/Benteke/etc, then consider Mahrez > Alexis (-4) on its own?

Don't think you need to WC.

Watford forum posters think Kenedy will play wingback role or attacking role behind main striker. Doesnt sound like he is nailed on to start

This is yr team until December, Too many non playing cheapies. At the least would downgrade Lamela to a 4.5 or Capoue and have some playing subs
