Dugout Discussion – Tottenham vs Sunderland

A busy Sunday of football comes to its conclusion at White Hart Lane as Spurs and Sunderland go head-to-head in the 4.30pm kick-off.

The hosts’ 4-0 win over Stoke last weekend boosted out faith in the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, yet their midweek Champions League loss to Monaco at Wembley suggests Mauricio Pochettino’s side have yet to hit top gear.

Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela owners are left cursing their luck after the duo were named amongst the subs, with Mousa Dembele returning to the XI following a six-match suspension.

Certainly, the home side will be buoyed by their visitors’ second-half capitulation at home to Everton on Monday night.

The Black Cats have yet to win under David Moyes and, considering their current form, may well be lucky to avoid a repeat of the 4-1 reverse in the corresponding fixture last season.

    So frustrating. 0.1 over the Wildcard team I want.

    Foster // Jaku

    Walker // Williams // Holebas // Kelly // Amat

    Sanchez // Firmino // Sterling // Antonio // Capoue

    Aguero // Lukaku // Deeney

    Need to choose between:
    A) Foster to Marshall (and just go with Hull keepers for their good fixtures, no fear of Jaku getting dropped); or
    B) Walker to Valencia (who I have currently); or
    C) Anything else.

    What do you reckon?

        Was just thinking that; can't see Sunderland keeping a clean sheet ever though!

        That would let me get a 4.9 defender instead of Kelly though, e.g. Lovren. Might be worth it.

          I'm debating it, as that (and cheaper defs) could get me aguero/lukaku/costa, but likely to cause a future problem.
          One issue with your team (and mine) is who to bench, but right now just focused on best wc squad.

      On one hand, yes it saves money. On the other hand, Sunderland are not exactly promising defensive returns and it limits flexibility at the back.

      Bolasie has the better fixtures but seems to be an assister where Snod has a couple of bad fixtures yet everything goes through him for Hull so I would take Snod out of the two.
