Dugout Discussion – Watford vs Man United

Sunday treats us to four matches, kicking off with a noon encounter at Vicarage Road between Watford and Man United.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic carries the armband hopes of many Fantasy managers heading into this one – the Swede narrowly topped this week’s Captain Poll off the back of four goals in as many matches.

Etienne Capoue has the chance to prove himself worthy of a fourth midfielder slot today. Having scored against Southampton, Chelsea and West Ham, the Frenchman is set for a favourable run of matches that could bring in the points.

Similarly, Odion Ighalo, Troy Deeney and Jose Holebas are also under the spotlight after all three got amongst the goals in last week’s comeback win over the Hammers.

        😆 I watched him there too and know he has always been class. Remember, he had just made the France team and was hyped to be a new starter before he got wasted in Spurs for incredibly dumb decisions to play Mason and Bentaleb ahead of him. But he also was about always the player sitting the lowest in midfield and despite not being anywhere near as bad in front of goal as some could have thought because of his last season 0% conversion rate, he was not a big time scoring threat. Now he's been converting his almost every shot. Good as he is, he is not going to keep that rate up for long. He needs to up his shot numbers if he is going to keep up that scoring rate, and I doubt he can do that at Watford.

      "Capoue as 4th midfielder is not good enough" the basic thing you hear here.

      Tbh, his stats are okay, he does feature on my tables, they're just nowhere near the best in the league and don't warrant his crazy results. Not being utter rubbish, they can as well be good enough for 4th or 5th midfielder that can be played.

    Boydinho at £4.4M two seasons ago was an absolute steal and he always turned up when needed but this man is getting there now. What a man!

    Already decided on it but this adds weight. Capoue is a perfectly capable 4th mid, and I'll be starting him for the foreseeable future.

        Sounds like he's clinical to me.

        I'm almost certain that was similar to when Yaya had his phenomenal season (at least early on, he had a huge conversion rate).

    First Capoue week, on the bench, but I'm still on track for 60+ after a -12 and the only other person above me in my mini league has 3 Man Utd defenders this week (for some reason) so I'm well happy. Also glad to see it's clearly not a fluke and I week forward to this nice Watford run coming up.
