Dugout Discussion – Watford vs Man United

Sunday treats us to four matches, kicking off with a noon encounter at Vicarage Road between Watford and Man United.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic carries the armband hopes of many Fantasy managers heading into this one – the Swede narrowly topped this week’s Captain Poll off the back of four goals in as many matches.

Etienne Capoue has the chance to prove himself worthy of a fourth midfielder slot today. Having scored against Southampton, Chelsea and West Ham, the Frenchman is set for a favourable run of matches that could bring in the points.

Similarly, Odion Ighalo, Troy Deeney and Jose Holebas are also under the spotlight after all three got amongst the goals in last week’s comeback win over the Hammers.

    When a cross sent into box is blocked/deflected by defender and then finished by opposition, it is an assist. Has been that way for a while.

      Incorrect. If the player changes the direction of ball sufficiently then the 'assist' is void.

      I remember a Deulofeu assist last season not being given after his cross was slightly deflected on its way to Barry (?), who scored. So, no. It's inconsistent.

    Can't be an assist. It will be removed. Ball completely changed direction ffs.

    Assist will stay and here's why: High ownership means you get narrow decisions in your favour. Not technically an assist FPL wise, but exception granted for Zlatan since so many own him...

    They use their own judgement for assists, it's different for goals.

      I have Bolasie and Ibra (C). Not my week for borderline decisions.

      Only 40 points (if Ibra keeps that assist, don't think he will) with Toby to play. Terrible stuff.

      FPL will use the "intended destination" defence. I.e. That Ibra intended to cross to Rashford

      The ball hit Behrami and went in the opposite direction that Zlatan crossed it. Assist should not have been given
