The Dugout Discussion – Burnley vs Arsenal

Share:

Gameweek 7 comes to its conclusion as Burnley welcome Arsenal to Turf Moor.

The Gunners roll up on the back of four straight league wins, with Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott both in fine recent form.

The Chilean teed up Walcott’s pair of strikes in the midweek Champions League win over FC Basel and with three double-figure hauls in four, carries the armband hopes of many at Turf Moor.

Walcott has now notched five times in seven across all competitions and has risen to 6% ownership in Fantasy Premier League.

Another big performance today would surely kick start a bandwagon over the international break, yet Arsene Wenger’s side face an obstinate Clarets rearguard that has conceded just five goals in the previous 17 league matches in front of their own supporters.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

      Until Butland is 100% fit yes. Good punt if you don't need to sort out other issues.

      Yes. Given won't take his place. Not sure when Butland is back but won't be for a while.

      Grant has been decent.

        as for pecking order it's hard to say, Hernandez came on later and was completely anonymous, Mbokani showed some decent hold up play but very little in the 2nd half.. wouldn't bother with any of the three of them tbh

    I need to free up some money. Which transfer do you prefer?

    A.) de Gea ----> Mandanda
    B.) Mahrez -----> Alli
    C.) Antonio -----> Redmond

    N.b- I would be losing this players for the whole season as a draft league rival will snap them up.

    Current team

    Jaku Pickford
    Holebas Coleman Walker MKelly Amat
    Alexis Snodgrass Capoue Firmino Payet
    Aguero Deeney Lukaku

    0,0m in bank and 2 FT.

    IF all my players get back fit from the international break I was thinking one of these options:

    A. Jaku to Grant (to use at least one transfer and have 2 playing goalkeepers for the coming weeks)

    OR

    B. Walker and Coleman to Lovren and Koscielny (to exploit Arsenal and L'pool kind run of fixtures)

    Thoughts?.

      Getting rid of Walker would be madness, maybe downgrade Payet to Sterling or Son if you want money for Koscielny?
