Gameweek 7 comes to its conclusion as Burnley welcome Arsenal to Turf Moor.

The Gunners roll up on the back of four straight league wins, with Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott both in fine recent form.

The Chilean teed up Walcott’s pair of strikes in the midweek Champions League win over FC Basel and with three double-figure hauls in four, carries the armband hopes of many at Turf Moor.

Walcott has now notched five times in seven across all competitions and has risen to 6% ownership in Fantasy Premier League.

Another big performance today would surely kick start a bandwagon over the international break, yet Arsene Wenger’s side face an obstinate Clarets rearguard that has conceded just five goals in the previous 17 league matches in front of their own supporters.

    Thoughts would be appreciated.

Considering Ibrahimovic/Bolasie to Costa/Firmino. Realize Costa a YC magnet, but he consistent scores.

Have just enough to make the move, though it will be a -4 hit.

    Cheers!

Most people would say either double up with Walcott or get Son.

I've read an interesting post a couple of pages back that Kane might be back soon, so I'm wondering how that will affect Son's points.
And since you already have Sanchez, doubling up might be too much if there are other interesting midfielders.

I would say Son (since you have Sanchez) and hope Walcott doesn't punish you too much. And when Kane gets back, see how that will affect Son. But by that time there's bound to be other midfielder that are firing. 🙂

    How long is Giroud out?
A bit worried that Sanchez points will dry out when he returns.

I was. I'm just curious since there's a lot of theories on how a specific player affects others around him in a negative way.

Small green for this week so, what to do with this team?

    Foster Pickford

    Shaw Williams Kone Evans Amat

    Sanchez Firmino Antonio Snoddy Capoo

    Kun Lukaku Deeney

    2ft, 2.6itb

    A. Ditch Shaw + Kone(due to drop price) to Kosc(Bellerin worth the extra $$?) + Pieters(good fixtures?/Smith a good shout?).

    Please advice. Thanks folks.

Don't know. I'm not at all frightened of not having him, tbh. Personally, I wouldn't probably do any of those transfers, but I would definitely want Son in my team, so out of those options, Firmino to Son makes the most sense to me.

If ever there was a time to go 352 it'd be now. So difficult to choose between all these excellent midfield options.

Agreed. I'm looking at that as well. There are so many exciting mid priced midfielders, and the big ones hitting form too, whereas the mid to cheap attack options don't have that much appeal.

            It's really not because:

            1. Liverpools points will be shared between 5-6 players
            2. They won't score 2+ goals every week
            3. Firmino will go back to false 9 if Lallana recovers where he hasn't been scoring any points
            4. Son is on fire and the main man in Spurs' attack

But don't come to kill me if it backfires. I personally would like to see all of Firmino, Son and Antonio in my team. 😀

hence the maybe more. just wouldn't be remotely worried about a 1 game ban for a cheap defender

This. I have 2 premium defenders and 2 cheapies. My other cheapie will cover Holebas' one game.

    Who is a better option?
    A) Son
    B) Payet

      Son

That's a tough one, but Son is so much cheaper that if you have to ask that then he's much better value anyway.

City not as sharp without KDB

just Antonio > Son this week if you have the money. City have an easier fixtures than Liverpool imo

Is it time to invest in Stoke defenders? Looking at the fixtures they are about to go on a good run with potential for clean sheets, the result today will surely breed some confidence and over the years they have provided a decent number of clean sheet returns, I think they are in a bit of a false position at the moment

Not spectacular or any different to a lot of other teams. No clean sheets this season is an issue

Clean sheets are hard to come by at the moment anyway as we know, hard to fit in all the players in form in mid/for positions with 2 premium defenders

Very true. Just wonder if they have the drive to keep a clean sheet if they are up 2-0. Some teams have more pride in keeping a clean sheet than others.

they certainly have the fixtures coming up, some good price defenders, city 1 cs, utd 2 cs bet most people have def from these teams, getting a stoke def will free up some funds, may as well get on them early if you thinking about it, sunderland at home next,if theyget cs, there will be alot of there cheap defenders getting trans in, its just a chance you have to take i suppose

GJ was my next planned transfer. 4.8 for such an attacking defender is good value

Can't get Walcott or Son without taking a hit, so I've decided to do Bolasie to Snodgrass next gw with my one free transfer.

Hulls fixtures clear up now and he's on set pieces and pens when Hernandez is on the pine, so hoping he'll be able to match Wally and Son anyway.

Feel like I dodged a bullet this gw after captaining Ibra, and only dropped from 47k to 60k in OR so I'll take that.

All aboard the Snoddy train? Choo-choo??

Hull are a very very poor team but Snoddy is defo their best bet. Id avoid though

I agree they're not a great side, but remember they have had probably the toughest start to the season of all teams fixture wise. Snodgrass has also done quite well so far considering.

I have a feeling Snodgrass will prove to be excellent value over the next 7-8 fixtures. If he wasn't on any set pieces I'd probably reconsider, however he is, and he's pretty good at it too.

The rest of my team is fairly solid so I think I'll take the punt on him as my 5th mid.

        Thanks for your feedback. 😉

I wonder how Hull's defence will perform when their fixtures take a turn for the better now. Curtis Davies anyone?

I was thinking about him but I transfered in Bellerin. But if you need 5.0 defender I would consider Davies for sure. He is 'long and strong' so some of those set pieces from Snody should find his head.
