So we made it to the double century.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve managed to get this far. It’s even more difficult to believe that folk are still listening.

Episode 200, is, quite fittingly, a rather memorable event.

It’s marked by two extraordinary stories, as Jason Puncheon takes residence in my home and an award-winning legend of British comedy respectfully puts me in my place.

Hearing is believing.

Around that brand of nonsense, we do our best to focus on the job at hand, as we address another bout of your community questions.

Once again we revisit the subject of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with Jonty and Andy still clinging to the fading Swede.

Spurs and Arsenal assets, Payet vs Antonio and the stat to rule them all also get discussed, before we indulge ourselves with a trip down memory lane, recalling our favourite ScoutCast moments.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

You can grab the old fashioned mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or watch me get riled via the Google Hangout version in the second player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Lovren currently in the draft.. Any word on Sagna? Zaba could be sweet at 4.8m but Smith is probably a safer, nailed, attacking option for BOU..

3 weeks out was last i heard, so zaba too short term for me.

Don't fall for Lovren (or any LIV defender for that matter). My reasoning followed the same train of thought as you and it really never worked out. Maybe Klopp will have them more focused on getting and keeping cleansheets but I think you'd be more surprised as an owner if Lovren kept a CS. Might as well get a 4.5M DEF and call it a day IMO.

    Hey gents,

Having a bit of inner turmoil haha.

    heaton - foster

    stones-valencia-friends-amat-wilson

capoue - sanchez - sterling- lallana - leko

    aguero- lukaku - costa

    .8 itb 2FT

My thoughts are that I desperately need to upgrade my defence and that lallana isnt going to play 90 mins.

    I have the exact for:

    lallana -->alli
    sterling -->tadic
    stones-->rose

    What do you reckon?

Wouldn't be suprised if V. Janssen started against the Baggies - they will need his physical presence against the West Brom defence. Not sure whether this leaves Son on the wing on or the bench (rest for CL, of course).

Thanks Demi. I brought Son in but made a mistake. We need to be ditching CL players not bringing them in.

Spurs and Arsenal have big squads when all are fit...and some very good players itching for a game....

Oh aye...Just stating Payet and Tadic as the type of players we should be going for. Full squads for the top CL clubs is a big problem for us.

It's ok if they have a few injuries but they seem to be doing quite well on that front.

Was considering a similar move (Valencia + Antonio > Bellerin + Snod).

However, I decided it was worth keeping Antonio another week given he has stats + fixtures.

So instead I'm just doing Valencia > Pieters this week and saving the ft. I'll decide on Antonio next week instead and, if I decide to sell, I'll get rid of Evans/Holebas for the Arsenal defender instead. Think they're both one close to getting a suspension anyway so no harm losing one.

      Option I would consider

Butland could be back in 3 game weeks. Grant could double rise and make you 0.1 profit but I doubt it. As long as you have an exit strategy. I may even get him next week to do 4.5 def >Mustafi and worry about him in a couple of weeks

With so many fixtures on the horizon for Spurs, I think they'll struggle to keep clean sheets against teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, even West Ham or Leicester (which they face in the near future) and I generally believe that their performances will drop due to fixture congestion. Rose may get rotated, too. Midfield of Mane, Coutinho and Firmino is at least one blank guaranteed every week, but also one nice score from one of them guarenteed too - make of it what you want, whether it's satisfying for you or not.

Enjoyed the scoutcast. A bit of liveliness back in it. Reminded me of the old days when it was just Mark and Granville. Happy 200th! I reckon I've listened/ watched at least 150

Is this going to be one of those weekends when you're just happy to have 11 starting?

Surely champions league is going to have a big impact on starting line ups

I feel like my OR is going to suffer this week, not feeling great about. Been making too many hasty decisions lately.

Assuming Fletcher is your fifth mid, who is your fourth?

        Capoue

If it was me I'd cash out on Capoue rather than sell Fletch. Price-wise Capoue isn't what I'd want in a fifth mid.

Beyond that, I like the moves. Ibra could troll you but such is life.

Isaac Success still being tipped for a start this weekend by some....
"I am reflecting on it [whether he starts], evaluating all the different options and it is something I will decide at the last minute.”...Mazzarri

Mazzarri has been issuing reassuring words for Ighalo...

“They are periods where players are more in form than others. But we believe in him and it is just a matter of him scoring.
“Mainly what I ask from my forwards is not to score but to play well. Of course he came back from Nigeria two days ago so it is very difficult to prepare.
“I have four forwards and various options and will make a decision later.”

So no change from what I wrote before the break. Two players are at risk as and when Success gets a start...Ighalo or an OOP Holebas...

My guess is Holebas goes back to LB and Success comes in at LM/LW either this week or next week.

That's very useful, thank you for that. 🙂 He's still at the back of my head, was considering him in the early days of my WC. May still get swayed to get him in, what a good player he seems to be (eye test) and also a possible OOP midfielder.

One of my Everton boys has to make way for an Arsenal defender. Should I sell:

    A. Baines or B. Coleman

    For

    1. Koscielny or 2. Mustafi

Baines -> Mustafi. Gives u more cash in the bank and Mustafi has had a good start BPs-wise.

Saving the 2 FTs is always a pain. International injuries were few and far between. "Real" ones anyway. Missed a few rises on potential targets.
But been playing this too long to let it bother me.
    Thanks for listening 😉
