So we made it to the double century.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve managed to get this far. It’s even more difficult to believe that folk are still listening.

Episode 200, is, quite fittingly, a rather memorable event.

It’s marked by two extraordinary stories, as Jason Puncheon takes residence in my home and an award-winning legend of British comedy respectfully puts me in my place.

Hearing is believing.

Around that brand of nonsense, we do our best to focus on the job at hand, as we address another bout of your community questions.

Once again we revisit the subject of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with Jonty and Andy still clinging to the fading Swede.

Spurs and Arsenal assets, Payet vs Antonio and the stat to rule them all also get discussed, before we indulge ourselves with a trip down memory lane, recalling our favourite ScoutCast moments.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

You can grab the old fashioned mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or watch me get riled via the Google Hangout version in the second player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    RMWCT:

    Pickford, Heaton
    Walker, Kosc, Cedric, Pieters, Smith
    Sanchez, Walcott, Son, Firmino, Capoue
    Austin, Aguero, Benteke
    (0.4m)

I'd quite like to squeeze in Snodgrass if I can. Could downgrade Cedric or Heaton and then get Snoddy in for Capoue?

    Any thoughts?
    Tips?
    Marks out of 10?

That is excellent. Even more so if you can do that yeah.

Down grade to Kelly. Gives you plenty of rotating options. Or Robertson.

Thanks. Double Hull does scare me a bit though!

My other option would be to get Grant instead of Pickford. Risky, but tempting.

Or get some bench fodder in for Smith. Pieters and Cedric rotate really nicely!

Smith to Amat would be fine if you have enough.

Really nice team! You could do that and rotate Snoddy with Austin short term. But long term I wouldn't advice you to suffer from benching headache every week

My thinking on why KdB + Walcott will be a more valuable combo than Sanchez + Sterling:

KdB the best all round mid prospect in FPL: Assists and goals, both from set pieces and open play, BPS monster, 100% nailed when fit. City lack cover in KdBs spot, therefore I don't think he will be rotated near as much as the wingers. We know that Pep rotates, and I think Sterling will be rotated just because there are great options on the bench.

Sanchez is happy to play both as a striker and as a mid on the flank, but consensus seem to be that he is a better prospect as a striker. In a couple of weeks Giroud will be fit, and there will be games when Wenger will play him as a striker (against Burnley he was missing). Walcott has proved he is a great winger in the current system, and I think he will be nailed even if Giroud starts games. We will have to see how Giroud will affect Theo in that case. But as long as Theo keeps his spot as a winger, I think he has good chances to keep his form.

Don't agree at all, but that's because I think he will continue to deliver. Besides Ramsey won't play in that position. Walcott has also passed Iwobi in the pecking order.

        1. Alnair
          • 9 Years

Walcott's grabbing the points but watch the games, it's actually Iwobi who is running things and grabbing MotM awards.

No way Wenger drops Ozil/Sanchez so Walcott is the likely to be the fall guy for when Giroud plays.

          1. Hurricane Gilbert
            • 10 Years
            9 years, 5 months ago

Then why is he being subbed of first in every game? Indicates that he is the least nailed mid imo.

              • 9 Years
              9 years, 5 months ago

You mean Iwobi? He's young and it's easier to take him off without causing egos to flare.

But really, watch the games and you'll find it hard to see how Wenger can bench him, but then again it IS Wenger 😀

I just don't agree. Sanchez and Kevin are very, very close but the former is likely to score more and sterling looks a better option than theo if fit. Playing in a better team as well.

      1. Hurricane Gilbert
        • 10 Years

He is likely to score more as a striker, defo yes. But don't think he will continue to play as a striker long term. KdB will mix goals and assists on a more consistent basis imo.

        1. AndyCook

The chance of Theo maintaining his starting place is slim to none of Giroud were to start. I think if Theo maintains his form and Sanchez delivers up top then Giroud will sit on the bench a lot. Wenger doesn't like to play with two typical wingers, he likes one to be more creative so that only leaves one spot for a true winger - Sanchez is always going to be picked ahead of Walcott in this position so if Giroud starts and everyone else is fit Walcott will see his pitch time curtailed. In reality I think we will see Giroud warming the bench for as long as Arsenal keep winning.

What are your thoughts on Stones guys?
I hardly believe we can skip for 5.0 opportunity. City have been quite unlucky so far with CS imo.

My concern is that rotation risk with Stones. He tend to be subbed on at the 65+ mark which f*cks up the bench strategy but I don't know if we can ignore this considering City fixtures

City defense at the moment is tricky. They are learning Peps tactics and they tend to do a lot of mistakes passing from the back. So wait a few games to see if there is improvement on that front

Complete waste of a defender. Nailed and very good player in real life but
        a) no cleanies
        b) no goals or assists
        c) no bonus

Keep him by all means but he will attenuate your scores.

What's everyone's thoughts on Son being rested tomorrow?

Or will they rest him in Champions League midweek?

After a two week rest there's no chance of him not playing 90 unless City are winning 5-0.

      How essential is Lukaku???

Thinking of downgrading to 3rd choice striker...Keeping Ibra for the GW and upgrading next GW for Kun

My other fwd being Costa (really wanna keep him)
