So we made it to the double century.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve managed to get this far. It’s even more difficult to believe that folk are still listening.

Episode 200, is, quite fittingly, a rather memorable event.

It’s marked by two extraordinary stories, as Jason Puncheon takes residence in my home and an award-winning legend of British comedy respectfully puts me in my place.

Hearing is believing.

Around that brand of nonsense, we do our best to focus on the job at hand, as we address another bout of your community questions.

Once again we revisit the subject of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with Jonty and Andy still clinging to the fading Swede.

Spurs and Arsenal assets, Payet vs Antonio and the stat to rule them all also get discussed, before we indulge ourselves with a trip down memory lane, recalling our favourite ScoutCast moments.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

You can grab the old fashioned mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or watch me get riled via the Google Hangout version in the second player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Positives:
      Cheap
      fixtures
no one else scores from Hull
      maybe pens

      Negatives:
Jonty doesn't have him (I see you talking about his team a bit)

Not much bad to say about him apart from the team he plays for doesn't score much.

He himself can change the game for them, which means bonus also.
He is in my team, cheap and max points when he scores. win win.

I am debating him for my team. They still have some good fixtures to come and the attack basically goes through him.

The bad: how many goals are Hull going to score?

The good: when they do score he will like as not be involved.

im stumped whether to bring him in also. tough decision. Indecisive what my future transfers should be so holding for now

    9. AndyCook
      9 years, 9 months ago

He's an enabler, best player under 6M and maybe slightly underpriced but not by much. Wouldn't dream of having him during poor fixtures, when Hull are bad he is as anonymous as anybody but has set pieces in his locker so can always surprise. Probably a sound choice if you need the cash elsewhere but there are currently a lot of mids who are great value at slightly more cost 7-8 million

Deeney or has he risen past Seven now?

If he over Seven then I not in the know as have not looked at alternatives. Austing good, but those fixtures. Could get off to a flyer this week thiugh so maybe worth it

        2. Ruth_NZ

Wilson for the next 5. There's a natural switch to Austin after that, by which time Soton will have more or less got EL out of the way.

Agree with TL about Deeney being preferable to either but he's 7.1 now.

i wsa looking at austin. if the rest of my team was solid id have him as a punt. not considering rashford due to minutes.

id never consider a 5.5m df with no goals, one assist 7 gws ago, in a team that hasnt got a single cs the whole season however good the fixtures are. seems bats hit to me.

    ADVICE/HELP PLEASE!

    Pickford, de Gea
    Williams, Walker, Holebas, Kone, McAuley
    Sanchez, Bolasie, Puncheon, Son, Antonio
    Aguero, Ibra, Diomande

Planning my future transfers at the moment. West Ham have 4 good fixtures until the international break and I have Antonio, who may well keep playing striker now that Zaza is going back to Italy. After the break though, they have 4 very tough fixtures (spurs, united, ARSENAL, liverpool). Fixtures pick up again after that little patch with BURNLEY and HULL. Should I look to get rid during the tough patch?

Second question is should I get rid of Ibra or Sanchez in after the break? I am bringing in Karius and Mustafi for de Gea and Williams in the next two (brought Son in this week for Cazorla). There are pros and cons for both and I cannot decide. I will have zero in the bank after my Karius and Mustafi transfers and I desperately need to upgrade Puncheon and Bolasie so one of them needs to go.

    1. Ruth_NZ
      • 11 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

You don't need Mustafi. Take Pieters instead and you have 1.6m for midfield upgrades. Puncheon could become Snodgrass and Bolasie could get upgraded to Arnautovic or Lallana or Willian or Sigurdsson for example.

That way, keeping Sanchez and Zlatan remains feasible.

      1. The Big Fella
        • 9 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

That was scarily good deductive work for how much I would have in the bank!!!!!

Hmmmm it is another option but I think Ibra hasn't been doing well (in FPL terms, he has been doing well in real life) and Sanchez, if he has a season like last year, scores in blocks. Would Walcott do much worse than Sanchez given the price difference? Would Benteke, Defoe or another in-form striker do much worse than Ibra given the price difference?

It's certainly another option, and one I shall consider. I might even opt for Allen when fit to find even more money. Thanks for your suggestion (and for confusing me further).

Pochettino rotated the fullbacks freely last season. The fact that Trippier has played CL and Walker PL so far this season doesn't mean it will automatically stay that way.

        Pick Grant
        Walker Kos Smith 4.0 Amat

Smith to Fuchs and 4.0 to Pieters with savings sounds nice

Just one of them. Don't make the mistake of putting too much in D. Better lying in the account

Fuchs and Pieters looks very nice but I'm looking at Cameron over Pieters maybe next week

They don't really have another LB. Cameron could be a rotation risk imo

    Straw poll for that armband.

    A) Alexis
    B) Theo
    C) Benteke
    D) Aguero
    E) Wilson

Half tempted to go cheeky with Bellerin but no.

Ibra to play in red and score own goals due to recent lack of goals.

Did Rashford>Austin FT fingers crossed. Still think he's a legitimate C option with doubts over Sanchez and Aguero

Wish Allen was fit for sure.
Really like look of him as a Fourth mid, he just allows so much extra spends comared with Snodgrass.
Allen will likely make less points, but when you take that extra 1m spending money into account it not so clear

    Choose 1

    A. Play Sterling Capoue(with AOA)
    B. Take a hit for Williams to Kosc and bench Capoue.

My other defenders are Evans(TOT) Valencia(liv) Stones(EVE) Amat(ars), will definitely play Valencia and Stones. None of the other I want to play.

only thing id be worried about with AOA though is burning it by a player not playing, since its after international break.. otherwise if thats not the case, i guess its a good time to use AOA

Hello folks. May I get some opinions on my team and who to captain this weekend?

    Jakupovic
    Bellerin, Vertonghen, Kone
    Sanchez, Sterling, Firmino, Son
    Aguero, Deeney, Rashford

    Foster, Capoue, Dawson, Amat

You have both Aguero and Sanchez. So you should take the decision here.

It's such an annoying dilemma, isn't it? Whenever I log into FFS, I see something about Bolasie, Snodgrass, Antonio and Capoue and it's driving me crazy.
