We can’t quite call it a comeback but it’s progress.

Jonty’s radical solution to help solve his nosediving season was to throw off the shackles of his traditional dullard ways and start taking transfer hits.

It’s working, a 74-point Gameweek is enough to get him back and track and edging towards unlikely respectability. Like a Phoenix, dusting himself down and now pondering a rise from the ashes.

Personally, I’m not sure what’s more puzzling, Jonty’s struggles this season or Andy’s determination to cling to Zlatan Ibrahimovic like some muscular, ponytailed comfort blanket. At least Granville was wise enough to get rid after the Swede failed him yet again.

In this latest ScoutCast, we tackle Jonty’s reversal of fortune and Andy and Granville’s Zlatan woes, before embarking on another round of questions from you, the community.

The Gundoganwagon, Valencia replacements and looming doubts over the Arsenal teamsheet dominate the chatter.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

More of a goal scoring threat. While he scored one today, he scored a few in the EPL last year, and he scored quite a few with the (lesser) Eredivisie.

A, but wouldn't say it's a huge priority, not yet anyway.

Sterling has better fixtures so worth waiting before taking him out for Hazard.

    Kosc Rose Pieters

    Hey DZ.

    Williams v Holebas

Let's face it picking one from these two probably won't mean alot post Gw11

I trust Everton defence more than Watfords and also trust Liverpool to score more than Chelsea.

    Williams over Holebas?

Don't stress it. Just pick Holebas. You won't get a very convincing argument for Williams.

In the same boat. Going Williams. Got a feeling Liverpool will score a few and if Holebas has to do a lot of defensive work he'll pick up his 5th yellow card.

Holebas recently retired from the Greek national team, so a fifth yellow would give him a nice three week break. 😉

    Grant
    Holebas Stones Vertonghen
    Firmino Coutinho Redmond Son
    Costa Aguero Lukaku

    (Foster, Capoue Valencia WrongSmith)
    1FT 0.4 ITB

    A) Alonso
    B) Fuchs
    1) Gundogan
    2) Allen

    Z9) Other

B2 for me, Alonso a more medium term target from GW15. Too early to judge Gundogan, but easy to replace Redmond if he keeps firing.

    Grant (Jaku)
    Koscielny Williams McAuley (Collins Amat)
    Alexis Firmino Lallana Allen (Capoue)
    Aguero Lukaku Defoe
    2FT 2.7itb

    Options under consideration:

    A) Replace Collins before a further fall in price, Fuchs was my priority target but some doubts about impact of Kasper injury on Leicester CS
    B) Upgrade Lallana, Hazard is prime target in medium term once Chelsea’s fixtures ease
    C) Upgrade Capoue e.g. to Gundogan, I’m not yet ready to jump on the bandwagon but one more haul and I’ll be all aboard.
    D) Williams out for a more reliable defender. Probably missed the boat on Holebas, Alonso at Chelsea my favoured option if I have the cash
    E) Probably need a downgrade of Defoe at some point to afford Hazard and/or buy Alonso in defence
    F) Replacement GK required once Butland returns, tempting to jump on Heaton before further price rises

Most likely I’ll just go for A and save 2FT for international break, but thoughts welcome. Is there a better option than Fuchs this week?

Then gk gets injured & I start regretting getting Fuchs as cs chance reduced

summary = bad luck for Schmeichel & Chadli owners but I now feel better purchasing Fuchs.

I bought Fuchs a few days ago too, but it was a long term move so I don't regret anything. The 4 fixtures that Schmeichel will miss are pretty kind so I still fancy some cleanies among them anyway.

MARK - please do another scoutcast next week. The international break will be hard enough without having to go 2 weeks without a scoutcast 🙁

Whoever you think will make the biggest difference in each transfer. If you do b) which defender is benched? Walker?

Oops - repost - wrong thread.

Evening gents, looking to make my transfers before Capoue falls in about 15 minutes or so.

    Foster (Pickford)
    Kosc | Williams | Holebas | Francis | Amat
    Sanchez | Wally | Firmino | Lallana | Capoue
    Aguero | Lukaku | Deeney

    2FT, 0 itb.

    A) Capoue to 4.3/4.4 (De Roon is a regular starter when fit isn't he?), Williams to Fuchs

    B) Capoue to 4.3/4.4, Deeney to Austin

    C) Wally downgrade to Gundowagon, or another similarly priced player.

I'm thinking possibly B, since I am happy to keep Williams for the Swansea game next week before getting rid, and I don't want to lose more value on Capoue.

Long-term plan is trying to turn Wally/Lallana into Hazard, which will require all the funds I can get, and means I'll eventually need to downgrade the other one to a Joe Allen range-priced player.

I'd just cash out on Capoue. Save the other one. Then decide to maybe get rid of Walcott if we hear anything new tomorrow.

Thanks mate, yep Capoue out is the first transfer I think. His horse has run its race.

If you want Wally long term, it's about which position you want to sure up.

It's not so much that I want Wally long-term, I think he's always going to go relatively soon, but I'm not sure he's outlasted his usefulness as a fantasy asset just yet. I'm looking at possibly holding him for a couple of weeks until Chelsea's fixtures turn for the better, and I'll want Hazard.

I wouldn't wait for Chelsea's fixtures for too long, as Hazard's price could be out of sight by then. They're performing incredibly against everyone. I think if Walcott plays he's worth keeping, just need to be prepared in the case that he doesn't. Arsenal's team sheet is about to be come a real nightmare for attack investments.

      Deeney to Austin for sure
Kos to Cedric/Morgan could help you do lallana to haz.

Anyone recently sold Deeney? If so, why? Many people seem to be fixated on fixtures and his next 3 are Liverpool away, then Leicester home and Stoke at home.

    Seems silly to get rid?

But surely the 'fixtures' play was used to bring him in? Just shocked at people taking hits to get him out.

What was your team before the hit? You're still playing Allen and Capoue!

Allen's shot on target stats per game speak by itself and i had him for 4 weeks and so far im happy with him. Capoue i had him since GW1 and due to the heavy mid and Aguero i couldn't think/find any better mid with only 1M in the bank. The one's i took a hit was McAuley for Fuchs and Antonio for Hazard.
