Dugout Discussion – Chelsea vs Everton

The final act of a dramatic day is delivered from Stamford Bridge, as Antonio Conte’s Chelsea seek a fifth straight victory and clean sheet from their clash with Everton.

While Chelsea’s defence will be a focus for some Fantasy managers, this is very much a tale of two strikers, with the in-form Diego Costa and Romelu Lukaku colliding.

The Chelsea man is backed with the armband by 8% of FPL managers, while Lukaku claims 4%. The Belgian has returned in six of his last seven Gameweeks and will provide a stern test for Conte’s rejuvenated defence.

Eden Hazard is the other headline act on show – he’s bidding for his fourth successive goal, having attracted more than 148,000 owners heading into the Gameweek – he’s backed by 3% with the captaincy.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    I think I will just hold for now and not get Haz or Costa for the time being. As much as I want Hazard, I don't want to drop any of my current mids: Sanchez, Firmino, Coutinho. Also I still think Kun and Kaku are for long term. Won't do this week unless one of my Liverpool players or Sanchez get injured.. Hopefully not!

    If your 5th mid is a Walcott or Pedro or even Lallana, then 352 IS VALID

    BUT NOT WITH A GUNDOGAN OR MATIC OR EVEN JOE BLOODY ALLEN

    THEY ARE NOT BETTER THAN A 3RD STRIKER EG DEENEY AUSTIN

        ^this. Having 5 decent midfielders with no big hitters definitely is not better 5-man midfield than having a couple of real big hitters with a couple of decent ones enabled by a nailed-on budget AM.

        Also, Deeney and Austin are 7.0 and 6.5 priced strikers, now bit more expensive already. You can't directly compare a 3-4-3 with Deeney (7.1) with 3-5-2 with Allen (5.3, for most sub-5), because the latter still has 2m to spend elsewhere. If you want to get the same money available for the rest of your team as with Gundo, Allen or Matic, you have to go for a sub 5.5 striker. Who all are garbage.

          The stats said otherwise. Aguero very different at home v away. Although sample size small, missed pen at home etc.
          Still had plenty of chances today.

          Although the major reason i went with Aguero was fear of going against the mases.

          In a more split captai week its safer to bet against the front runner.
