as I'd be likely needing two transfers to make 2 it possible to get either Kane/Costa in for Lukaku or upgrade defence to get Alonso in without taking a hit. took a hit last week to get hazard in and that didn't pay off!

It doesn't really matter, you're almost never going to start them. get someone nailed on in one of the cheaper defeneces. Evans Pieters etc
Agree. Far too much in defence currently. I'd even go down to a 4.0, as the other four defenders are still premium.
Bellerin and Benteke --> 4.5m and a big gun (how much can you afford?)
2.0 in the bank. I think Firminho is a big gun. Benteke could be improved but I don't think that is urgent, especially with his next three fixtures looking good.

All the starting 11 have pretty good home fixtures (bar Aguero) and I'd like to have 2FT next week... just seems wrong not using a transfer

Definitely rather deal with Allen than waste a transfer. The same goes for Pickford. Francis and Kone can also be upgraded to better alternatives. Liverpool will concede, mark my words, so Lovren should go too.

I guess if you do that now, you could go something like Sanchez -> Sigurdsson and Deeney -> Kane next week

My brother sold Sanchez during the IB and my son never had him. They do however both have Aguero and i don't, which I think is a bit scary for me this week.
I'm now turning my mind to Sanchez and Lukaku > Siggy and Aguero (c)....to preserve my lead.

At the moment I'll be hiding behind the couch about Aguero against Burnley. Sanchez is out the game if I do those moves above, he may as well be playing on the moon...and I'll be safe.
Obviously talking about Aguero. You haven't had him recently when they did and now want to cover them. He's either a good option or not. Might be the 4-0 result.
I don't really want Aguero full time but I don't mind having him when he's clearly the best pick for captain....and this week is one such time.

You have to understand I've just spent three wells telling both my rivals that their Aguero's are a waste of money. Paradise for me would be if one or both sold Aguero this week whilst I brought him back in. They were both peed off with him last week.

I know what you mean mate and none of them have Sanchez so keep him to be different is what i mean.. captain him.. there are at least 3 or 4 better captaincy options than Aguero for me this week..
If I don't do those defensive moves this week then it'll be Allen and Lukaku > Zaha and Rondon (good fixtures and I like them)....and it'll leave me 3.0 mill in the bank to play with.

Difficult one. Try to play your own game and ignore your rivals teams. Why did you sell Agüero originally? does that reason still apply?
Because he's a waste of money most of the time now that we have Costa delivering consistent scores. Aguero has been on his own for a long time for week in and week out pts (largely)...Not anymore.Plus he gets on my piggin nerves when his ownership sky rockets and becomes a pointless pick (pardon the pun)
I'd only get him in for this game maybe...
They're all fair points. I'd stick to your guns. Don't know how your leagues going but you could bring him in later in the season when your top just to block everyone else.

Tempted by Giroud too, but on what are you basing him as a sure starter?

For the sake of discussion only, as i think we agree, being 'a regular player' and being 'in both options' still doesn't necessarily imply him starting - only that he will play, which is not the same thing. He could easily be introduced alongside Sanchez from the bench.

For an Arsenal fan you don't seem to know much about your club haha. There was an article with quotes from Wenger on Giroud. Suggested that he is in his plans. No, I dont have it to hand.
I read that article - it sounded more like Wenger was saying he'd be eased back in, certainly didn't say he would be a definite starter ... although, I have to say I personally think he will start - if not this week, then soon.

I'm not sure how people have construed Wenger's quotes as a sign of Giroud's imminent return to the starting XI.
People seem to have short memories about how poor Giroud is.
Quotes are quite clear and simple to me. Not really anything to construe and I dont think Giroud is poor at all.
Compared to Giroud last season, Alexis scores more goals as a striker, and the team scores more goals this season with Alexis as a striker.
Giroud scored 16 goals in 2400 minutes. Can't be bothered working it out but Sanchez may match that based on his current scoring rate. Can't see him being far superior in that front personally.
On minutes thus far, Alexis is doing slightly better. But importantly, the Alexis seems better for everyone else.
I'd be disappointing if Giroud regained a starting birth, but Wenger does tend to dissapoint. Coq and Elneny with Ramsey wide at Old Trafford ffs...
If Sanchez lost his OOP, I'd probably sell as well.
