Gameweek 18 comes to its conclusion this Wednesday evening as Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s.

Claude Puel’s men seek a fourth successive clean sheet in front of their own supporters, with ever-present Virgil van Dijk (13% ownership) the most popular Saints player by some distance in Fantasy Premier League.

After netting twice in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth, Jay Rodriguez retains his role up front and is afforded another chance to play his way into our plans ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

Back-to-back home blanks against Hull and Burnley persuaded many to part company with Harry Kane last time out – the Spurs frontman was second only to Diego Costa for transfers out in Gameweek 18. Nonetheless, a big performance could have a big effect in the FPL standings – Kane is the sixth most captained player for this round of fixtures.

His Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen also earned significant sales after failing to deliver points against the Clarets, yet both have the underlying numbers to punish those who chose to look elsewhere.

          He's likely to get at least 2, so then it's -2 and I'd rather that and the hope of extra points than play with 10.

              He can concede 3 (Middlesbrough haven't conceded 4 all season), for -1 points, but you'd expect him to make 3 saves at Old Trafford, so that's 2 points right there.

          Depends if you'll use a transfer next week. Hate using a transfer on a keeper but valdes could get 3 points with saves and then you have him in place for nice fixtures

      Happy 80 for me, a -12 gained me 11 points plus put my team where I wanted it.

      Ibra 15 Kaku 8 Llorente 5 Friend 1

      Ibra and Friend were always coming in, and I took the risk of the other two based on immediate form & fixtures for Llorente whu bou and Lukaku lei (minus Huth/Fuchs) and hul.

    Just been reading some quotes from Koeman really praising Holegate. Most Everton forums think he is going to be part of team again. With Everton having decent fixtures he might be worth at shout at 4.0 million.

    I was considering Mori at 4.6 but that 0.6 could help out

    A) Lukaku & Rose (or max 5.9 def)
    B) Costa & Ake (or max 4.6)
    C) Kun & Ake & Max 6.6 mid for Firmino (-4)

    I think 2 Chelsea defenders is the way to go. Very hard to find reliable defenders. Hazard isn't doing enough to keep his spot

    I am ashamed to say that in my mad rage I've just taken a -8 hit bringing back in Eriksen for Walcott who last week I removed for Walcott for a hit.

    This is a new low in FPL for me.

      We've all been there (I have!). Took a -12 the other week then a further -4 to lose a player I got as part of the -12, leaving me at -16. All because of staying up to watch MoTD and finding out I got 28 pts.

      Leave it a week and it'll be forgotten about.
