Gameweek 18 comes to its conclusion this Wednesday evening as Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s.

Claude Puel’s men seek a fourth successive clean sheet in front of their own supporters, with ever-present Virgil van Dijk (13% ownership) the most popular Saints player by some distance in Fantasy Premier League.

After netting twice in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth, Jay Rodriguez retains his role up front and is afforded another chance to play his way into our plans ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

Back-to-back home blanks against Hull and Burnley persuaded many to part company with Harry Kane last time out – the Spurs frontman was second only to Diego Costa for transfers out in Gameweek 18. Nonetheless, a big performance could have a big effect in the FPL standings – Kane is the sixth most captained player for this round of fixtures.

His Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen also earned significant sales after failing to deliver points against the Clarets, yet both have the underlying numbers to punish those who chose to look elsewhere.

    Had Kun (c) negative with Benteke negative..

    Now Benteke negative again alongside Kane's missed penalty..Thank god this one worked out slightly positive by 1.

      Interesting that's for sure.

      Think you may need one of Costa/Kun in the near future.

      However, you possess the best 4 defensive assets, and if you replaced Cahill with Azpi you'd have them all. Whether this is a good thing I do not know.

      But yeah, "inbalanced" but I like it.

    My name is Flapjack and here's my story.

    I only owned Costa for 2 weeks after Kun's suspension and I'm still top 100k.

    Why? Because Costa is about as explosive as a Chicken Korma.

    Get someone like Kun, Sanchez, Hazard, maybe even Kane and that's like a Vindaloo...poo SHOOTING out the backside..all up the walls of the toilet.
