Gameweek 18 comes to its conclusion this Wednesday evening as Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s.

Claude Puel’s men seek a fourth successive clean sheet in front of their own supporters, with ever-present Virgil van Dijk (13% ownership) the most popular Saints player by some distance in Fantasy Premier League.

After netting twice in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth, Jay Rodriguez retains his role up front and is afforded another chance to play his way into our plans ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

Back-to-back home blanks against Hull and Burnley persuaded many to part company with Harry Kane last time out – the Spurs frontman was second only to Diego Costa for transfers out in Gameweek 18. Nonetheless, a big performance could have a big effect in the FPL standings – Kane is the sixth most captained player for this round of fixtures.

His Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen also earned significant sales after failing to deliver points against the Clarets, yet both have the underlying numbers to punish those who chose to look elsewhere.

    Find it really amusing why people are in a rush to sell Kane before he plays watford

        small sample to judge. kane is one of the best strikers in the league over last 2 seasons and every striker goes through small droughts.

        you cant expect him to keep that up. he'll bounce back

        all good options. if kane scored the pen there wouldnt be an argument to sell him. slim margins

          My point exactly. The first season he played he was young and wanted to prove a point. Next season he became the focal point for Spurs which put pressure on him. He still managed to deliver towards the end of season. Let us not forget Kane has scored most of his goals in the 2nd half of both seasons.

          i'm an arsenal fan and rate Kane a lot. But something doesn't look quite right with him, good goal but wasn't a penalty even if he scored. May be biased given captained him last two home games mind! I'd also question "ibra doesn't look good on the eye"!!

      Nice low flexibility if hazard and Coutinho starts to score. You could rotate front 3 with Kane if you don't have lots of value in them
