Tuesday treats us to no less than seven Premier League fixtures as Gameweek 23 gets up and running.

Arsenal’s home encounter with Watford has earned Alexis Sanchez the top spot in our Captain Poll yet again, with the Chilean bagging a goal or assist in nine of the last ten Gameweeks.

Spurs make their way to Wearside with Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen all in fine form.

We’ve handed the latter two places in this week’s Scout Picks with the Black Cats hampered by injuries and suspension as they attempt to clamber out of the basement.

Kane, meanwhile, bagged third in our Captain Poll on the back of six goals and two assists in five.

We’re keeping a keen eye on mid-price midfielders Junior Stanislas and Matt Phillips ahead of clashes against Palace and Middlesbrough.

Both are in form and, crucially, have fixtures in Gameweek 26 and 28 – at present, Bournemouth and West Brom are two of only six sides guaranteed to feature on both occasions.

The same applies to Swansea pair Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente as Southampton roll up to the Liberty Stadium. Both were amongst the goals in the Gameweek 22 win at Anfield – their second victory in three since the departure of Bob Bradley.

Burnley’s Andre Gray is also a man in form – indeed, with five goals in as many matches prior to Leicester’s visit to Turf Moor, he earned a rare place in the Scout Picks.

All six of those matches get underway at 7.45pm, leaving Liverpool and Chelsea to play out the Tuesday fixtures in the 8pm kick-off.

Roberto Firmino bagged a brace in his previous Anfield appearance and could be key as the Reds attempt to avoid a fourth straight home loss in all competitions.

With a goal or assist in 16 of his 20 top-flight outings this term, Diego Costa was the most transferred in forward for the Gameweek at a time where the Eden Hazard exodus continues at pace, with over 122,000 FPL managers parting company with the Belgian ahead of tonight’s deadline.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

kind of gone unnoticed because the results havent been too bad but spurs are not playing well at the moment. Middlesborough at home has spanner in the works written all over it

They're not doing so bad. People underestimated Sunderland (apart from Mark Lawrenson, who slightly overestimated them).

I know but if you wait 1 gw, you can downgrade somewhere. 😉 I just think Alonso in his position and Chelsea having such a strong defense is the superior choice.

Of course, Walker is a good option too. Or Valencia, but the blanks are annoying.

Depends, he can be useful in gw26, if you have 2-3 players blanking. I held him for now, and took out Amat, since he probably wont be playing in the blanks either way

Sticking for Burnley (h). Longer term he's likely to be one I get rid of but right now I always find something else to do instead and Jones probably needs to go before he does.

    Hi all

Kaku coming in for Giroud gives me:

    Randolph / Jaku
Alonso Jones Brunt / Pieters Amat
Alli (c) Sanchez KdB Antonio / Fletcher
    Lukaku Ibra Rondon
    1FT / 0.4itb

Think I have to (c) Alli because I only have 1 Spur to help me a bit in that game.

Any other moves you'd consider? I was thinking of taking out Jones for RFM, but that seems a bit silly with Leicester looking awful. Might bank the FT again and try to keep hold of at least one until blanks so I can pull the 2FTs then.

    Thanks in advance!

    2. Rose > Brunt

Was all set on 1 before Rose's injury - Arsenal being sloppy and have two blank gameweeks coming up, so seems obvious. However Rose is now injured... was banking on a cleansheet from this weekend too.

Will wait for news, but I'm probably best holding Rose, right? It just doesn't feel right transferring out a fit player when one is injured...

Think Rose needs to go first, he's too much $$$ tied up in an asset to sit on your bench.

Am a Gooner and know what you mean about Kosc, but I think you'll have to play the hand you're given here - what's your backup if you were to bench Rose?

Whomever I don't get rid of will be on the bench. I'll be playing Alonso | Coleman | Brunt and then Rose/Kosc on bench. It just comes down to planning for blank gameweeks really. I'd much rather have Rose going forward but if he's not fit, he's not fit!

Yeah see what is said about Rose. To be fair, you don't need to make any rush decisions as you're covered - it would only be if you couldn't field an XI / were relying on Amat or something coming in that I'd be thinking about it.

As you've identified, Kosc needs to go - just have to see what the pressers bring this week. Maybe look at a cheapie to bring in for him/Rose to free up cash who is also playing over blanks (Mawson, Holgate been suggested)

Siggy is a returning flavour - I hadn't even considered him, but they're on the up! I have KdB Antonio Alli Sanchez so I haven't got the space for him sadly.

Kaku coming in for Giroud for me.

Think you might just have to roll with it this time round and either take the -4 or just save it up for the time being and have that injured bench. Lot hinges on Rose news I suppose.

Alfie Mawson scored 7 goals last year (L1). This year already 4. Is he perfect replacement for Amat (I need defender for gw28). Any Swans fan around? Is he nailed, or is Olsson better option.

In the mix, but a tad too expensive at 4.5 - for Amat I want a 4.0 - 4.3 defender as he's going to be the 3rd bench option and I don't want that much.

Looking at Robertson (Hull have SWA BUR in GW26/8) and obviously Holgate (worried that Schneiderlin and Gueye will be used as a double screen and they'll revert to a back 4) at the moment - thinking the Hull man is who comes in for me eventually.

What's the story with Pedro? Just dropped yesterday? Are we to assume that's the status quo from now on?

I don't think so. Expect him back in the starting lineup at the weekend.

Want Lukaku but each of Kane, Costa and Ibra have such great fixtures coming up that cant figure out who should make way, if anyone!
