Gameweek 25 concludes at the Vitality Stadium with Bournemouth paying host to Pep Guardiola’s Mancheseter City.

Once again Pep’s teamsheet steals the pre-match headlines, with Gabriel Jesus preferred as his central striker, leaving Sergio Aguero on the bench for a third successive outing.

Transferred in by more than 210,000 ahead of Gameweek 25, Jesus is skippered by 156,000 tonight up against a Cherries defence that has shipped more Premier League goals than any other side in 2017, conceding three or more in eight of their last twelve matches.

That defence is at last bolstered tonight by an array of returnees, as Charlie Daniels, Simon Francis and Adam Smith all overcome knocks to claim berths.

Elsewhere, manager Eddie Howe prefers Jordan Ibe to Junior Stanislas on the right flank, as Josh King again leads the attack.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Interesting feature by Red Nev at HT, lino gave goal and ref didnt see King foul - these mic'd up ref's must be getting help from above as I've suspected for a while. If it gets the right call all well and good just wish they'd own up.

I just can't stand Martin Tyler's commentary nowadays. So boring. Not to mention his commentary on FIFA.

Arlo White is the real deal.

Chelsea didn't get the result they wanted yesterday but I was still struck by their fantastic expansive football, Well organised, everybody in position, and using every part of the pitch. Good stuff

I can't see any plan for City by comparison. It's all just a bit of a mess at times by comparison.

    1. tm245
      • 14 Years

Agreed. That says a lot about both teams, I think. Tactics plus talent for Chelsea is an incredible combination right now.

        9 years, 17 days ago

Yeah. City have a lot of talent as well of course and still very capable of big results. It just doesn't feel as solid.

Chelsea are using a system that's easier to execute than Peps Barca and Bayern teams, and I'm sure he's trying to get City to play like those. Takes more time at best. Won't work at all at worst.

It's not really just tactics for me.

It's all about mentality and how each individual applies themselves to the game and how they do collectively as a team.

It's being disciplined in your work. People will say tactics. But tactics is the intended plan it still has to be executed and for me that takes mental focus and strength.

Look at Leicester last year to this year.

A)Is there a rule for DGWs,ex. if team blank GW26 he will have DGW34 and those with GW28 blank to have DGW37 or its random?

    B) Will there be blanks in GW35 like last season if i remember well?

      GW26/28 to 34 if possible, 34 blanks to 37.

    2. Dr Dream
      • 13 Years

That's generally how it works out but it's not a rule.

Depends on when the premierleague rearrange the fixture for, most likely GW34 and GW37 will be the DGW's because there are free dates during those gameweeks to re-fix the games
