Gameweek 25 concludes at the Vitality Stadium with Bournemouth paying host to Pep Guardiola’s Mancheseter City.

Once again Pep’s teamsheet steals the pre-match headlines, with Gabriel Jesus preferred as his central striker, leaving Sergio Aguero on the bench for a third successive outing.

Transferred in by more than 210,000 ahead of Gameweek 25, Jesus is skippered by 156,000 tonight up against a Cherries defence that has shipped more Premier League goals than any other side in 2017, conceding three or more in eight of their last twelve matches.

That defence is at last bolstered tonight by an array of returnees, as Charlie Daniels, Simon Francis and Adam Smith all overcome knocks to claim berths.

Elsewhere, manager Eddie Howe prefers Jordan Ibe to Junior Stanislas on the right flank, as Josh King again leads the attack.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

How many points in autosubs have you got?
30 for me with majority forced.
Mark has 40 with most being lucky 🙂

Forced equals playing a suspended/injured player etc with no chance for points.

Cheers AK. Am thinking of spending the Aguero funds and bringing Mané in for Stanislas. Yes, Liverpool probably don't play GW28, but as it stands, maybe even Stanislas doesn't!

Forget 28, don't even know if he plays next.

I do have Chambers in my squad so I can play him away at Palace instead of losing 4 points to get rid of Stan. Really hope Burnley lose to Lincoln, Mane in for me too if that happens.

I bought at 5.1m so can afford the drop. Just don't know if he's worth keeping.

I can see Liverpool tearing Leicester to shreds as Huth and Morgan have no pace and are so low on confidence at the minute. Surely Liverpool cut through them like a knife through warm butter...

You never know with Liverpool. They can beat the best team on the planet on their day, and lose to a non-league team the very next!

But you can't go wrong with Mane, they have a lot of home games remaining and looked so fresh against Spurs.

So Jesus is out for sure, and maybe Sanchez to get him later. Already have Lukaku Costa Alli Eriksen

    1FT

    A. Sanchez, Jesus -> Hazard and 11.2 striker ( 0.1 short to get Kane)

    B. Sanchez -> Hazard, bench Jesus and play Siggy

    C. Sanchez, Jesus -> Kane and a Liverpool Mid

    D. Just replace Jesus and bench Alexis - with whom? defoe? Must be registered 10.0

Most players do better against weaker.

7 of Lukaku's goals this year have come against Sunderland / Bournemouth in 2 games.

The issue with Lukaku is that he has these explosive games but follows them up with mediocre games which is baffling. He doesn't keep the form over the course of a season a la a world class Sanchez or in the past Suarez, RVP, Aguero. Of course, he is much younger.

That said, he can score against anybody.

      1. The Big Fella
        • 9 Years

This is why I generally don't buy him but Aguero had to go and there are so few options for the blanks so.... there is he. He is such a troll I'll have to keep him for the season too.

Lukaku plays for a weaker team than the world class players he's being compared to

        1. Ibracadabra
          • 16 Years
          9 years, 17 days ago

Correct, but there are also consistent FPL options of the past few years that tick along week in and week out even though they don't win the title.

I own Lukaku and he's great during this period and is excellent value for the money, it's just important not to expect him to produce week in and week out consistent returns a la Aguero or others... He will blank more frequently.

In the past there have been many FPL players who stayed consistent over the course of a season even without being on title challenging teams.

ANDY JOHNSON - CRYSTAL PALACE (I AM OLD).
DARREN BENT - CHARLTON (I AM OLD).
          DEMPSEY - FULHAM.
          BALE - SPURS.

            It's his 2nd season.

God knows what he based his WC on but clearly he hasn't looked at the fixtures.

    Grant Jakupovic
    Alonso Walker Brunt Kingsley Holebas
Sanchez Alli Eriksen Philips De Roon
    Defoe Ibrahimovic Lukaku

Thinking of doing Sanchez/Ibra for Hazard/Costa. Or maybe bench Sanchez and do Costa for Ibra and Eriksen/Alli for suggested mid?

Evening people. After some advice please. 2FT & 0.1m ITB.

    Heaton
    Luiz - Jones - Baines
    Sanchez - Antonio - Alli - Siggy
    Ibra - Costa - Lukaku

    Nyom - Chambers - DeRoon

    A) Jones > Yoshida/Funes Mori
    B) Ibra > Kane
    C) Anyone else

    1. Ibracadabra
      • 16 Years
      9 years, 17 days ago

First piece of advice, hold transfer until after European and FA Cup fixtures.

I would most likely do A (Jones out) however but not to Yoshida as he has no fixture in GW26.

      1. Bobby_Baggio
        • 14 Years
        9 years, 17 days ago

ah my bad - wanted jones out tonight due to his price fall. WOuld you double up on everton defence?

        1. Ibracadabra
          • 16 Years
          9 years, 17 days ago

I see no issue with an EVE double up as they have great fixtures 26, 28, and 29 and one difficult one (27). You could bench Funes Mori at Spurs in 27 if you bring him in and play the more attacking player Baines and be all set.

You could be rewarded with 2 clean sheets / 4 gameweeks which would be an excellent return in that price range.

Another option is Ibra to Kane if Spurs lose to Fulham or Sanchez to Eriksen if Spurs lose to Fulham.

You need to ship someone to field XI next week, would keep Jesus seeing as you have him. Ibra > Lukaku or Yoshida > Nyom/Robertson

Shop for Lukaku. That's the best advice you'll get!

      I'm going to keep Jesus.

I have costa and Kane and can't afford anyone else.

Sunderland game is 3 weeks away so ages yet...
