Gameweek 26 concludes at the home of the champions for a match-up which became a very different proposition only late last week with news of Claudio Ranieri’s departure.

The Foxes now hand the reins to caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare in a bid to halt a dismal run that has seen them lose all of their last five, with not a single goal scored in the six.

On paper, this seems a formality for Liverpool, then, although Jurgen Klopp’s men will surely be anticipating a reaction both from the team and the vociferous Foxes faithful tonight.

Nonetheless, the Reds arrive in buoyant mood. They come fresh from a fine 2-0 victory over Spurs back in Gameweek 25, a match that saw Sadio Mane emerge as a two-goal hero and a Fantasy hot property ever since.

Mane has been involved in 17 goals (scoring 11, assisting 6) – more than any other Liverpool player and is backed by more than 366,000 new owners, with over 113,000 FPL managers handing the Senegalese the captaincy.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    So we get city in for 27
    Pool in for 28
    Then in 29 they play each other. Does not look good. Just another pain to consider with these fixtures.

    A) Stanislas + Lukaku -> Siggy + Kun (-4)
    B) Stanislas -> Siggy
    C) Stanislas -> Sterling

    Currently on A

      I think you "need" Siggy and at least one from City (captain GW27) so A

    What changes would you make to this side? Would need to move either Kane or Ibra to be able to afford Kun. Or a -4 to move Lukakue and Alli> Aguero and Sterling

    Foster
    Alonso-Fernandez-Robertson
    Mane-Alli-Stanislas-Phillips
    Kane-Ibra- Lukaku

      That -4 move might work but look at Stanislas and Philips first, they are waste of space. Worth upgrading them to City mid if possible

      Few ppl doing the Kaku > Kun > Kaku moves.

    Options as far as I see them (I feel a double GW for City is more important thank blanks?)

    Kun in for
    A) Ibra
    B) Kaku

    And/Or

    Sane in for Alli

    Thoughts ladies and gents?

      B, so Kun Lukaku hokey cokey.

      Now as for your second question its gonna be an 8 point hit to put Sane/Sterling in and then out.
      I suppose if they were to turn up for both games and the player you buy in GW28 also plays its worth it, at worst you'd be 2 points down but 3 chances (hopefully) to claw something back...

    Grant -- Heaton

    A: Alli + Kane >> Sterling + Kun (-4)

      Depends on the results. IMO he's out for this gameweek too. Better to wait for Pulis's presser.

    2. Ephurion

      Depends.
      They said it was precautionary to not play him. Scan could be to confirm that nothing is wrong, as he feels fine.
      Or he could be hurt and they have no idea exactly what's wrong with him 😛

    G'day everyone.. Bench one please
    a) Phillips
    b) McAuley
    c) Brunt
    d) Cedric
    e) Coleman

    Leaning towards a & e. Feel Cedric is under the radar and will produce against Watford. Phillips is under performing and if Rose is back, then Coleman won't be very attacking.

    Appreciate any suggestions

    2. BearHug

      Hedge it. Play one of the WBA defender and play both Coleman and Cedric?

      1. Pep says
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 1 month ago

        I'd bench McAuley because I feel Brunt is due (aside from the 2 assists he missed, he almost scored a cracker against Bournemouth) and surely McAuley won't score 3 on the trot will he? Palace looked good against Middlesbrough too, Benteke must be top of that goals imminent table!

        1. BearHug
          • 10 Years
          9 years, 1 month ago

          Yeah, i was looking at the scenario where Palace would get a goal and you can play both Cedric (as you inclined) and Coleman (since he's in superb form with higher ownership)

          1. Pep says
            • 10 Years
            9 years, 1 month ago

            Thanks.. Brunt or McAuley then? (I favour Brunt)

              • 10 Years
              9 years, 1 month ago

              Very definition of a coin toss. Maybe its time for Brunt to get something.

    3. Ephurion
      • 9 Years
      9 years, 1 month ago

      Tough one.

      a) seems like the standout choice for benching as he might/might not play anyways.
      c) looks like one you'd play in any case, as Brunt is a monster at home (and useless away).

      When in doubt, I always play my most expensive options, so would bench Cedric. Although he's been looking very good while on the pitch.

      If you're chasing he might be a strong differential, and a Coleman bench and blank might just be the right thing.

      1. Pep says
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 1 month ago

        Well, I had benching headache with Cedric recently and benched him for a 12 and 7 point game. I'm not taking that chance this time against Watford with Gabbiadini in the box. Cedric's has had some. menacing attempts on goal too lately

    4. Sonny “The Hitman&rdq…

      Cedric looked superb against Man U., going forward just like Coleman and he of course got a wonderful assist.

      I flipped a coin and I'm not getting him (Kun) in. I don't wanna lose Kane, and Ibra has too good a fixture. Regarding TC, there was a good point made yesterday about Sanchez TC. He will get 3 points per clean sheet and an extra 3 pts per goal over Kun. So bringing in and getting rid of Kun for -8 doesn't seem right to me. I'm capping Ibra this week and fielding 11 in 28, in the process banking 8m, allowing me to do Brunt/Phillips to Walker/Sanchez after 28 and have a good team going forward!

      1. Pep says
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 1 month ago

        The reason I mention the TC is because if Kun comes in for hits, he has to be TC'd. Don't trust Pep either, Jesus doesn't even know what he'll do!

        I'm just going Kane to Kun (c) and saving trade for 28. No hits and two free trades going into 29. Maybe a mini wc -4 / -8 to get Sanchez and Kane back in until DGW. Not going over board and keeping in mind long term.

    Don't know if this has already been said but if Leicester are resurgent they have cracking fixtures bar the 28 blank. Could be juicy after that, or nice in a dgw team.

      One match doth not a resurgence make. Waiting and seeing...

        I did caveat with an if 🙂 We all jumped on Mane and Co pretty quick after one good performance. If Sanchez demolishes Liverpool this weekend we could all be rueing that decision, damn price rises

    Play which one?

    Coleman (liv away)
    Negredo (stk away)

    I have heavy spurs attack so thinking of hedging with Coleman.

    Any better moves than these over the next 3?

    GW27: Costa -> KUN(c)
    GW28: Sterling -> King
    GW29: Firmino & Kun -> Sanchez & Kane (-4)

    GRANT
    STONES, Brunt, Baines
    STERLING, Mane, Firmino, Eriksen, Snoddy
    Costa, Lukaku

    Jaku, Robertson, F Mori, Barnes
    Bank 2.1m, 1FT

    Can't afford Alli to Sane (by .1m), an I crazy to think Yaya is an option?

    If Phillips is out. Would you ditch Antonio or Phillips for Sterling?

      Phillips

      Antonio is definitely playing 28 vs an easier team so it has to be phillips out

    Would you take a 4 point hit if it meant
    Aguero and Sterling for 27
    Lukaku + 8 others (including phillips and Holgate who might not play) for 28
    obviously depending on City vs Huddersfield result

    Aguero (c) enough for a potential dgw? Rival has Siggy, and I think I will just do Eriksen / Costa -> Aguero / Siggy. Could get Sterling though, but Siggy is the sensible one, right?

      Unless you do Sterling, and then Sterling to Siggy for gw28

        Yep, been contemplating it, but an extra transfer would get me another gw 28 player. Currently on 7.

        Then again, Siggy has a really good fixture in gw 27, and might outscore Sterling. So leaning towards the Icelander 🙂

      Depends on your team for the blank gw after and,how many points you'll need to spend to get a decent team.

        I have Heaton / Randolph, Baines, Coleman, Brunt, Antonio, Phillips (*), Mane and Lukaku locked in. If I get Siggy for gw27, I can field 9, 10 if Phillips play, in the blank gw.
