A busy Sunday comes to its conclusion at the Etihad now as Manchester City and Liverpool go head-to-head at 4.30pm.

Two of the top eight captains for Gameweek 29 take to the pitch now, with Sergio Aguero and Sadio Mane handed the armband by 8.33% and 2.12% respectively.

Owned by 21.6% of FPL managers, the Argentinian has found the net just twice in his last ten Gameweek appearances but history is on his side, having scored in all four of his home league appearances against the Merseysiders.

Both Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane boast far better form than the South American as Pep Guardiola’s side look to recover from their midweek Champions League exit in Monaco.

The former has produced returns in nine of his last 11 league outings, while Sane has finally settled after a frustrating first few months after arriving from Schalke last summer – the German wide man has racked up six goals and four assists in his last 11 starts across all competitions.

Residing in over 23% of squads, Mane has delivered double-figures against Spurs and Arsenal in the last four Gameweeks to emerge as Liverpool’s most reliable FPL performer.

Sold by over 118,000 FPL managers last week, Roberto Firmino recovers from a minor groin problem to return to the Reds’ XI.

Every team's away fans are usually many levels above the home fans in terms of this type of 'banter' if you can call it that.

Good one. Boo Milner who won two league titles with you and left because he couldn't get first team football...

Reminds me of Man Utd fans booing Tevez after he went to the closest other team to his house when Utd didn't offer him a contract.

"He couldn't get first team football" what a load of BS. He started so many games and complained because "he wasn't playing CM", wound down his contract even with a pay raise, and got a contract bonus from Liverpool for the free transfer. And now he plays LB. I can't stand him.

89 starts in five years isn't exactly first team. More often than not towards the end he was used as a substitute.

And thanks for clarifying all the various other reasons you can possibly hate someone as inoffensive as James Milner including the fact that he now plays left back.

You're right actually I effing hate left backs.

        Booooooooooo

      Players don't help themselves.
Tevez said he'd never join a rival so joins the team across town - brains never were his strong point.
Milner leaves to play cm and ends up in an inferior team at left back.
      Genius.

When did Tevez say he wouldn't join a rival to Man Utd?

What do you want, the date?!
He said it when it was made pretty clear he wasn't staying. It was said via his agent.
          But it was said.

I just googled for the quote and couldn't find anything, that's why I asked.

It was said isn't evidence of anything.

Besides so what. Utd didn't offer him a contract and City came in and offered him a wedge. Maybe this quote from his agent was made before there was the offer.

Not sure why he's expected to be loyal to a team that wouldn't buy him permanently.

"Carlos is not joining Manchester City," said Joorabchian, who is no longer the head of MSI.
"All this talk linking him with them is a complete load of nonsense.
"He is a Manchester United player through and through and is looking forward to signing a long-term contract with them in the near future."

So this was before Man Utd decided not to sign him permanently which he wanted to do.

Tevez never said he wouldn't join a rival. His agent just dismissed talk of him joining City when he and Tevez were still hoping Man Utd would sign him.

                Right so...

                Boooooooo....

Trust me it was said. Later on Tevez backtracked by saying he meant Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea and that as City weren't challenging he didn't consider them a rival. You're right in that we should have signed him he was very very popular with Utd fans. But my point remains the same, players don't help themselves with the things they say.
I've personally never booed a player but if a player moves to a 'rival' or a local team, he will get stick.
                  Thats how it is.

Fair enough I'll take your word on it.

Just always thought the vitriol he received was harsh considering the Club decided not to sign him not the other way around.

It was. I never wanted him to leave. He gave everything every single game, then you had Berbatov who well didn't. Fergie made a big mistake imo. But no matter the circumstances you leave a club to join its nearest rival you will get abuse, as daft as it is (its a game of football not World War 3) thats what going to happen.
