Earlier this morning, the Premier League kindly helped to relieve the monotony brought on by another international break by confirming the rescheduling of a number of fixtures that were previously postponed due to FA Cup ties.

The following matches have now been moved into Gameweek 34:

Chelsea v Southampton
Arsenal v Leicester
Crystal Palace v Spurs
Middlesbrough v Sunderland
Manchester City v Manchester United

As a result, we now have three teams set to play twice in Gameweek 34 – Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough and Manchester United.

Palace hardly have the most appealing pair of fixtures – Big Sam’s will now travel to Liverpool before hosting Spurs.

Middlesbrough face two vital relegation clashes, with a trip to Bournemouth preceding their home encounter with Sunderland.

Man United, meanwhile, will hit the road twice – making their way to Burnley before rolling up to neighbours City on Thursday April 27 in the final match of Gameweek 34.

As a result of this rescheduling, those holding West Bromwich Albion players should be aware that the Baggies are the only team that will face a blank in Gameweek 34.

The Premier League have also revealed that the remaining postponed fixtures will be confirmed “on or around Friday, April 7”, which is just prior to the weekend of Gameweek 32.

At present, there are six matches yet to be afforded a new date:

Arsenal v Sunderland
Chelsea v Watford
Leicester v Spurs
Man City v West Brom
Southampton v Arsenal
Southampton v Man United

We’ll go into more detail on the knock-on effect of today’s news in future “Scouting the Doubles” fixtures nearer the time but, for now, this is just a heads-up.

with all 3 chips and my Wc still in tact.

Do i use my Triple captain on Ibra for the first dgw.
then use my WC on gw 36...

and then BB ON GW37 ??

If you’ve already wildcarded/used your TC chip/are massively ahead in mini leagues – the best option is clearly bench boosting 37

However – if you’re chasing and have all your chips left to play I would present this differential strategy

GW 30-33 – concentrate on the best players, week by week, for these fixtures – remember, those who don’t have a wildcard will all be bringing in double players now as cover, most of which don’t have great fixtures
GW 34 wildcard – getting in one boro, one palace, two-three united players – plus those who have a GREAT single in 34 AND a double still to come – i.e. Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea.
Bench Boost 35 (Saints/Arsenal likely to be this week) - Bring in one of two from Saints - You’ll likely have 5 from Arsenal/Saints now – including Forster, maybe even Ospina in goal if Cech injury serious. Sling em on your bench, boost them.
GW 36 – tidy up that squad ready for your first 11 to play in GW37, you might have say Yoshida, Fabio and Ward Prowse on your bench at this point
GW 37 – Triple Aguero home to LEI and WBA or Sanchez away to sto and home to SUN. Or even Costa if going for golden boot away to wba, home to WAT
    GW 38 – all-out attack

I don’t think is as good as bench boosting in 37 – however, if you’re chasing the simple fact is that a triple in 37 looks MILES better than ones in 34 or 35. And can people stop treating a bench boost in 37 like you’re boosting 15 players?! You’re not, you’re boosting 4. Which is exactly the same as playing it on a double in 34 or 35.

    Monkey out.

        Mahrez/Vardy
        a pool mid
        Siggy still
        watford have excellent fixtures

'You’re not, you’re boosting 4. Which is exactly the same as playing it on a double in 34 or 35.'

But your bench in DGW37 will be full of DGWers. Your bench in DGW34 or 35 will be SGW players, you'll only have 9 DGWers in your squad.

My way is thus, working backwards:

        You:
        15 x double in 37 = 30
        Me:
        11 x double in 37 = 22

        You have eight over players

But I would do 5 x double in 35 say. Now, without a wildcard

        So

        Me:
        10 x single in 35, 5 x double = 20

Now in theory you could do the same but without four single players on your bench – therefore 16 – so half that of doing it in 37

So you get 4 more players playing your boost in 37? Okay, that’s true. My point is offset that with the hits you have to take in order to get say, 4 doubles for 34 and 5 doubles for 35. You’re looking at a minus 20 between now and then unless you’re playing your wildcard early.

Now offset that with probably having a bench filled with very good players for week 35 because you’re playing the double ones instead?

Now offset that with a triple captain in 37 and the potential of that compared to one in 34/35

I’m not saying the numbers are the same – but for me it’s 4 extra players (your worst ones at that) in 37 vs around 20 points, poorer players in 34/35 and going up against a triple in 37

This was long and hard to explain…

But I’m doing it, mainly because I’m 100 behind in mini league to a guy who has used all his chips bar BB and so have nothing to lose - good luck to you obviously

I've got 4 free transfers between now and GW34, and I've already got 1 DGW34 player.

if you make Aguero C or Sanchez C in gw37 and a bench boost, you are just one Aguero or Sanchez aways from those who made him TC

yeah but there are a lot more triples available that week - so many in fact, I can see around six great options that week (rotation issues aside)

in 27 the option was aguero
in 34 the option is zlatan
in 35 the option will be sanchez

        one option, in each week

37 is rife with genuine, rank busting differentials

for the last time, I'm not saying this option is BEST - it's not, I'm saying if you're chasing and have to gamble, this represents your best chance

I'm assuming Arsenal/Saints will be in 35, it could be 36. It has to be one of them. I just prefer the fixtures for both those teams over United and Palace in 34 – who have terrible fixtures

And Boro, who are just terrible

anyone know why Raheem Sterling cant ever- no matter how many times he tries- hit a ball cleanly? and dont say james milner:)

Even when he scores or asissts you look at the technique and think thats not quite right, was the same at liverpool and ive seen no improvement at city

i was . my main issue is this and it stems largely from seeing Monacos wingbacks this season, with mendy being one of the best crossers of the ball ive seen in a long time, whether in the air or on the ground.. there are a lot of speedy players in the Premier league-wingers and defenders- who are amazing getting down the by line and beating two, three men (Rose, Walker, Clyne, Valencia, Walcott, Sterling, moses, navas to name a few) but when it actually comes to that final delivery theres something missing. the accuracy isnt there. it never seems to beat the last man , the cut back is never quite good enough. Im just wondering why so many players cant do this one thing that would make them great as opposed to very good players.

Great analysis. I feel the same about navas. He gets in so well but his crossing is not as good. It's easy to see. No wonder falcao is so successful in Monaco compared to PL.

But being a winger, you should be able to cross properly sometimes at least. And navas doesn't do anything more either.

True but most players don't have everything. Take Walker for example, great pace, experience, engine, recovery skills, etc but poor delivery a lot of the time. Trippier, excellent delivery. Spurs choose to play Walker not because of his delivery but in spite of it. Very few players have it all - like Bale

Apart from Arsenal and Southampton, who obviously need to get two dgws, or a tgw (which seems unlikely), is it safe to assume that there won't be dgw35 or dgw36?

    WC34

    DDG / Pickford
    Valencia / Alonso / Mustafi / PvA / Yoshi
Sanchez / Pedro / Zaha / Redmond / De Roon
    Aguero / Ibra / Gabiadini

    6 DGWrs - DDG / Valencia / PvA / De Roon / Zaha / Ibra
    GW35 save
    GW36 Costa and King in
GW37 Stones in. BB with 13 DGWrs and King (BUR) and De Roon (SOT)

MY main problem with using WC so early is not knowing who is still fighting for survival/champions league in GW37...for example you don't have any ManC or Spurs players in and those two teams could be in battle for 4th. Also, in previous years some teams that were fighting to avoid relegation have done preety good and had cheap players that scored 15-20 points (remeber Sunderlands DGW and PvA's 15 pointer)

One point about bb, yes it's power by itself is probably being overstated but if you wc36 for a 37bb there's the option of getting a much more expensive bench than you'd normally have. Would mean one or 2 less big hitters but reckon could get a squad of 15 very good dgwers. That's the dream anway

15 DGWers a realistic option this year for sure.

Last year you were getting rid of good players for mediocre DGWers. This year, aside from Lukaku most of the good players play twice.

We'll still be very fortunate to get 15 doublers with rotation factored in. But a few might manage it.

Oh yeah of course, but it's not so crazy a strategy compared to last year.

People were getting rid of Spurs and Leicester last year to accomodate it.

Not so subtle brag coming up.
Last season I played bench boost in dg34 I believe it was after wild carding the week before for a 168 point game week beating everyone in both my mini leagues who had triple captained Aguero or Sanchez for there 25 point hauls. Obviously I had both anyway and captained one.

    31. Save
    32. Vardy to Ibra (and poss one other DGWer in)

    Heaton/Pickford
    Alonso, Baines, Brunt, Coleman, Walker
Firminho, Coutinho, Eriksen, King, Mane (prob out for Sanchez at some point)
    Kaku, Llorente, Crouch

I think I'm likely to have 5 playing double week 34 when it comes: Ibrahimovic, Valencia, Jones, Valdes & De Roon.

Won't go near Palace and don't fancy having more than 5. What's everyone else thinking?

Probably just 3. The big teams have good fixtures that week. Doubt you'll want to bench one of your mids for De Roon.

Hello guys. Was planning to take a hit after international break to replace Brunt and Llorente with Valencia and Vardy but Antonio injury might force me to keep Llorente. If Antonio is out for 3 weeks who would you replace him with:

    Heaton
    Brunt, Baines, Alonso
    Sigurdsson, Mane, Antonio, Alli
    Lukaku, Aguero, Llorente

subs: Foster --- Robertson, Clayton, Holgate --- 1 FT, 5.1 ITB

    A) Antonio and Brunt -> Eriksen and Valencia (-4)
    B) Antonio and Brunt -> Hazard and Valencia (-4)
    C) Something else, what?

Injuries and players with poor fixtures should stay the execution for Llorente. That's how I'm thinking for my team. Unless Gabbiadini suddenly gets declared resurrected. Of those I'd do A, though.

Two Theories seems to emerge for those with All Chips remaining, what are people doing?

Option 1 - GW 34 BB Instead of TC

This mean using the 5 or so FT from now until gw34 to bring Man U Pal & Mid assets in for their DGW this fixture some of which are going to fill the bench, this allows your more choice for the TC chip

Option 2 - GW37 BB instead instead of TC

This means you don't have to bring in lesser sought after players for the BB i.e. the likes on Palace Mid Assets but with this also comes fewer options for the TC chip come 34-37

    GW38 seems unanimous for AoA

    what are peoples thoughts?
