As one of the most popular and consistent defenders in Fantasy Premier League, Seamus Coleman’s season-ending injury has sent many managers scouring the market in search of a replacement.

More than 153,000 have parted company over the international break, with Antonio Valencia, Leighton Baines and Kyle Walker currently the three most popular alternatives for the Irishman’s former owners.

With double Gameweek drama set to get underway in Gameweek 34, though, many are already starting to piece together their Wildcard plans for the run-in.

For now, then, a short-term replacement for Coleman, taking care of the next four rounds of fixtures, may well be enough for most before we start to focus further on the doubles.

In this latest article for Members, we mine the data to assess some of the main candidates across the price brackets.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Wouldn't get rid of Defoe at this stage of season, a season keeper now with the DGWs and also confidence from England call up. I'd just do A

How much will Pool miss Lallana?
Own Mane and Coutinho and don't have much confidence in them now as goals seem to reduce when Lallana is out.

I'm on WC and am wondering this. Did have a Pool mid pencilled in for the next 2 lovely fixtures but thinking not to now ...

Hendo news will be key too, if he's not fit then they're in real trouble.

Not a fixed team at all yet.

          DDG Pickford
          Alonso Walker Valencia Yoshi Chambers
          Sanchez Alli Eriksen Siggy JWP
          Lukaku Vardy Gestede

Still tinkering ... Gestede may not be there by the end haha.

What to do with this team???

    Jaku
    Cahill Baines *Coleman
    Sanchez Firmino Siggy King
    Costa Lukaku Carroll

    Heaton Chambers T.Carroll Brunt

    1ft 3.5itb

Really want to get Alli/Eriksen, just not sure this is the week.
Want to get Coleman out, who should I get instead??
Thinking Valencia, because I want to get Rose when he's back from injury, but there's also Bertrand/Cedric.
Should I do King to alli/Eriksen for a hit as well as the Coleman move??

Are these moves worth a wildcard?

    Grant ➡ Pickford
    Baines ➡ Bertrand
    Brunt ➡ Valencia
    Coleman ➡ Vertonghen
    Coutinho ➡ Sanchez
    Carroll ➡ Barnes
    Llorente ➡ Ibra

Sets me up for an easy transfer for Ibra in after 2 weeks for Vardy.

Finally able to move on from Rondon this week, but not that interested in altering my general price structure of two expensive forwards and one mid-priced one (I have Aguero and Lukaku, for now).

With that in mind, who is the best replacement for Rondon between now and GW35 when I'll wildcard:

    A) Carroll (leaning this way)
    B) Deeney
    C) Negredo (can't imagine going this way, but the fixtures and decent shots stats require listing him)

Taking Llorente instead of Siggy frees up a midfield spot for Mane, Eriksen, Alli, Firminho, King, Pedro, Hazard or Sanchez.
There are lots of midfield options and not so many striker options.

Thanks for the response. I'm not on a WC, and already have Siggy, so I just don't see me transferring him out to accommodate Llorente, even if it means slightly improving my midfield. I'll be pretty content with a Siggy, Firmino (or Sanchez), Eriksen and Alli midfield.

For those people worrying about Valencia and rotation, Man U don't have a good replacement in that position except darmian who isn't even that good and you're also forgetting that Man U really want a champions league spot(if they don't win europa) so won't play weak teams in the premier league, which is why I think Valencia is safer than people think for the DGWs.

So many A-List FPL Spurs players - Rose, Walker, Alderweireld, Alli, Eriksen, Kane all FPL beasts... Verthongen, Davies, Son all value options...

3x Spurs players looking pretty essential?? Especially when Kane returns...

Been on 2 Spurs for a while now. Defender will be my third for now.

Will shuffle plans when Kane is back.

    Feeling this one out again

    A) Play Robertson and do Coutinho>Alli (have Mane)

    B) Play Coutinho and Mane and do Coleman>Bertrand

My thoughts are going with A as I don't think there will be a huge difference in points between Robertson and Bertrand this week, then I have Spurs coverage and playing just one Liverpool mid.

    Cheers

Right, my defence is in serious trouble:

    Coleman** Jones** Holebas* McAuley Mawson

I'm not sure why Holebas missed the last game, but doesn't look like I can rely on him to play.

I'm thinking a -4 for Jones and Coleman to Valencia and Walker. Got to be done, right?

Any Suggestions. Obvious injury concern is Coleman. Current rank 223k looking to finish inside of top 40k or top 1% of players.

Coleman to Walker looks the obvious move.

    Pickford | Valdes
Alonso Valencia Coleman | Amat Evans
    Hazard Sterling Mane King Sanchez
    Lukaku Carroll | Anichebe

Spurs or Southampton defenders are the standard transfers this week, can't really go wrong with it. Your midfield looks good if Hazard is passed fit

Happens a lot. Kerem Demirbay while at Fortuna Düsseldorf took it a step further & insulted a female assistant, stating women don't belong in the men's game. He was forced to referee a ladies match as punishment iirc.
