Expelled and evicted from the Scout Hut, the show must go on as I host this week’s Cast from the in-laws, their best china providing the backdrop to our Fantasy Football chatterings.

While building work gets underway back home, we consider the reconstruction required on our line-ups ahead of Gameweek 30 following the cruel injury to Seamus Coleman.

Assessment of the likely replacements dominates the opening section, before we embark on another round of community questions, as we scan Manchester United’s packed schedule, flirt with Leicester City assets and vote on when to move for Alexis Sanchez.

Transfer hits also bookend this episode, as we begin the show with a conservative approach to the weekend, only to end with talk of eight points aplenty.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience, plates and all, via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

since henderson & lallana are out...I think coutinho will play a deeper role... so want to transfer him out for a -4 hit... will have 9.8 ITB. who is the better option ??

    1. pedro
    2. tadic
    3. mahrez

    5. keep coutinho ... hit kills people

Milner can play in midfield, no?

      Ayew would be my pick

If you prepared to spend that much on Mahrez I would double up on Eriksen and Alli instead.

What team to bust coupons and break fantasy hearts this week?

Stoke to hold LEI at bay?

Palace to frustrate Chelsea off the back of 3 clean sheets?

I sort of like the first of your scenarios and am considering playing Grant over Pickford.

        Hmmm
This is the thing. The thought has passed through my mind that playing Pieters instead of Baines could be a nice play and saves the transfer I am planning...

I think Stoke might play deep and be tough to break down this week.

Tough call. I had both Baines and Coleman, so I already did the latter to Davies. I'm more forced into than thrilled about keeping Baines, but with solid games in 32 and 33 I figure I'll just cross my fingers for the next two.

                Mmm.
Everton's 32/33 is good but so is Tottenham's. I just know Baines will get a pen if I sell him tho!

How would this lot look for 34? Probably would leave King on the bench but could be Davies or even Alonso on the bench. -8 between now and then to get to this if no other problems arise. Would WC in 35

    VALDES (Jaku)

    VALENCIA CHAMBERS Alonso Davies (Lenihan)

    Sanchez Mane Alli Siggy (King)

IBRA (C) Lukaku (Anichebe / fodder)

    Suggestions or changes welcome. Thanks

      Valdes safest Boro option.
      Chambers OK if fit.
Would not want King on the bench GW34
I would have a Mid with a DGW. Probably Zaha or De Roon gor the money.
I would worry about Ibra rested against Burnley

On King - to minimize hits I got to hold him and probably bench a lot. With that nice fixture in 34 that might be the time for him.

Thanks. Really don't like the Palace options. And will definitely consider Kane over Ibra. Those 34 dgw fixtures for Ibra are bad enough without a threat of rotation.

  5. Eze Really?

    Bench Boost question.
    When to use it?
Obviously, with a WC the choice of GW37 stands out with 15 DGW players but:
I don't have a WC and I have Trip captain and bench boost.
I am going for GW34 atm. I can fill my bench with cheap DGW options that won't damage my team later. A bench boost will be as valuable when considering the bigger chance of rotation GW37. Trip Cap GW37.
    What are others doing?

No WC either... I'm thinking of GW35/36 as BB. TC in GW37.

      1. Eze Really?
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 6 days ago

Think of GW34 as your cheap bench playes could all be DGW players. Double Whammy!

    3. jia you
      • 9 Years
      9 years, 6 days ago

With no WC and no TC, I'm considering the BB in 34. My squad is very strong atm so if I'm brining in the likes of a MID defender, deRoon, Zaha, it would be hard to start them without BB.
I'm a little worried about rotation in 37 also

Yeah, I really don't fancy benching my current players for dgw players in 34. I haven't seen anyone on here thinking of doing this until I read your post but it seems a good option for players without a wc. GL!

    Howdy, all.

    Grant
    Walker - Davies - Baines
    Firmino - Coutinho - Siggy - King
    Kun (c) - Lukaku

For the final attacking spot, should I go:

    A) Rondon
    B) Grosicki
    C) Rondon to Deeney (-4)

I'm leaning towards C, as I think it will pay off between now and my GW35 wildcard, but I generally loathe hits.

I would say B if you have to.
Llorente and Siggy too much for a bad fixture next week so Llorente could go. But the week after Watford have a poor fixture.
As per Netley I would address issues with defence first as a priority. To be honest I would not have any of the 5 of them and the rest of your team looks good.

Snodgrass, Coleman and Coutinho to Sanchez, 4.4m defender, cheap mid for -4pts

Cheap mid will be 5th mid, so just a bench fodder. That defender is likely to be Yoshida/Kone/Fabio

If I keep Coutinho this week, it wouldnt make much sense to drop before Bournemouth, can be a decent differential

The other 2 just have to go so it basically comes down to Sanchez and Cout in Sanchez wins.
      Any other pool mid?
I have Mane and Sanchez. Sanchez goes nowhere and Mane stays at least til 35 WC.

Swansea's last CS was against Ranieri's Leicester. You're better hoping he scores one at the other end. If Boro fail to score today, they are in deep trouble + you should play Jaku instead of Heaton next week.

      Last season (2015-16)
Finished 421 Overall, 11th in India. That too being a casual for the first half of the season.
Later on in the season stumbled upon FFS while looking up captain choices on Google. Never looked back since.:)

While saying my highest OR rank finish so far (12.7K) may sound boring, it was achieved purely by myself. No FFS or equivalent sites, no price checking sites, no twitter fantasy accounts tips/advice/stats, no captain opinion polls, no RMT, no DGW planning spreadsheets.

Just purely me, watching football and using the official site to guess on price rises and drops and back then only the very limited stats it provided.

Sorry, I will evaluate on my first FPL season.
Current OR 5,736 which I am very happy with.
Finished 12th and 6th in ESPN Fantasy other 2 years (only around 100k people played), but they decided not to run their free comp this year.

Took me a while getting familiar with chips, price changes, no interactive private leage chats...etc.
After first 3 game weeks my standing was terrible 2.5M.

The season has been very entertaining, with many sudden dramas (Aguero bans, Costa's yellow fever, early DGW 27....)
I think most interesting in mamy years from fantasy point of view.
Good luck to everyone over busy week ahead.

Morning dzzz, want to remove 4 players (coleman, barkley, kun, lloriente) over the next two gws but not keen to take 2 hits so will probably end up removing only three of them..3m itb and 1FT

    Heaton -- Grant
Valencia Robertson Coleman -- Stones Mcauly
Alli Mane Siggy Barkley -- Fletch
    Kun Lloriente Kaku

    A: Coleman + Barkley >> bertrand + Eriksen (-4)
    - how do i bring in sanchez next gw? only way i can think is siggy/kun >> sanchez/ibra but that means 2 hits and i will still be stuck with lloriente

    B: Coleman + Barkley >> stephens + sanchez (-4)
    - con: is stephens nailed? threat of caceras.
    - next week can do kun >> ibra or just lloriente >> deeney/gabbi

    C: Coleman + Kun >> bertrand + Vardy (-4)
    - means i end up with barkley (liv) and do bark>> sanchez next gw
    - also means i stick with lloriente next gw if i dont want another hit

Based on above, B the most obvious?

and next gw do lloriente >> ibra(-4)...means i keep bark/kaku for two tough fix
D: Coleman + Barkley >> Stephens + Sanchez (-4)...tempting! is stephens nailed on?

Are B and D not the same?
      I say B no D no B
Stephens not nailed but probably worth the risk if you want
      Sanchez and Ibra
      Or Sanchez and Kane
But your defence will end up looking fairly poor.
