After the first four fixtures of Gameweek 31 treated us to just seven goals last night, hopes are a little higher for the remaining six matches.

Many Fantasy managers will be keeping a keen eye on the Emirates as Alexis Sanchez looks to punish West Ham once again.

The Chilean is the third most-captained player this time around, having served up 23 points against the Hammers back in Gameweek 14.

Dele Alli – the most popular midfielder in FPL – and Spurs team-mate Christian Eriksen also have the opportunity to deliver a big profit as they travel to a Swansea City outfit that boasts the worst home defensive record in the top-flight.

Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough are also in action this evening, affording us an early scouting opportunity as both gear up for a double Gameweek 34.

Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha roll up to St Mary’s looking to build on their goal and assist apiece away to Chelsea, with Sam Allardyce’s men seeking a fifth straight victory.

‘Boro face a tough task away to Hull, though. The Tigers are a tough nut to crack at home under Marco Silva, with six wins and a draw in seven in front of their own supporters across all competitions. Notably, the Teessiders appear to have opted for a front two for tonight’s clash.

Chelsea and Man City square up at the Bridge in one of two 8pm encounters.

Diego Costa is the second most-captained player for the Gameweek – over 10% are backing the Spain international despite a run of two goals in seven. Meanwhile, for the visitors, Sergio Aguero has persuaded 8% to take an armband punt on the back of three strikes in four.

Liverpool seek to gain revenge on their 4-3 capitulation at the Vitality Stadium earlier in the season as Bournemouth make their way to Anfield. With Sadio Mane sidelined, Philippe Coutinho – the top transfer target for Gameweek 31 – and Roberto Firmino carry the main threat to a defence that’s been breached 31 times already on their travels.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      1. I have Kun because I don't think a transfer is worth the transfer, if you catch my drift, but I wouldn't buy him for that price. Actually I would feel the same for Vardy: don't buy, but keep. And same for Ibra.

Not enough reason to switch between any of them.

      1. Visionaries

I get what your saying but Vardy has 4 away games coming up plus important CL games, good excuse to get rid

Go Ibra then. You clearly want him. Could come good. City playing better football, though Aguero too expensive to be buying imo, as I said. Still not a bad option

If the players you have now are likely to score more points than if you made transfers for a city player then it doesnt matter. You can't close the gap with the same players. Maybe he's worried that you have space for Ibra. Maybe he's selling Aguero. Worry about yourself more, I'd say

No input on these options? (Snoddy would be benched this week in B).

In plan B I could afford Alrighton instead.. or in plan A if I sell Alli instead of Eriksen.

De roon is just an enabler for Kane who might play DGW34, or might be benched. May as well go cheap in any case, since he's on my bench till WC

It's so tight from about 60 to 100k. Rival only 12 point ahead but almost 20k ahead in OR. That means every point is worth almost 2k OR rise.

What to do with Jamie Vardy?

Returns in the last two games have been great and he'll be up against a patched up Everton defence but Atletico Madrid are just around the corner.

Suitably before the two Sevilla games, Leicester played Millwall in the FA Cup ahead of the away leg and then there was GW28 right before Leicester hosted Sevilla. Vardy came on in the 73rd minute in the loss to Millwall which meant they didn't have a game on the weekend of GW28.

Things are different this time around with Leicesters fixtures being:
    - Away to Everton on Sunday
    - Away to Atletico on Wednesday
    - Away to Palace on Saturday
    - Home to Atletico on Tuesday

I can see the argument of Shakespeare keeping the team as it is to keep the good run and momentum going but surely rotation will have to play a part this time around with the fixture congestion?

Add to this that Leicester are now on 36 points, two games off the magic 40, but are 15 points behind Everton, who occupy the last Europa League spot, surely the league is now just a distraction to their European endeavours?

    DGW34 targets & BB?
For me it's Zaha for King this week then Gibson + Benteke for Mawson + Deeney before the double.
I already have Ibra, Valencia & the mighty Gestede waiting in the wings.
    6 is plenty right?
I might consider one more if I decide to play BB. Are many on here considering using their BB?
If like me you don't possess a WC, might it be the best time to play it rather than wait for 37 (and the uncertainty of it all, rotation fears, possible injuries, etc.)?

    1. Holmes
      • 12 Years
      9 years, 14 days ago

Since I dont have WC left, my main targets are players from DGW35(36)/37. I dont like any of the GW34 fixtures 😮

At this stage, I have Hennessey and Valencia. Bernardo was 3rd but looks like he wont be a starter anymore. How did Gestede play? Was looking at him as an enabler for Sane. Unlikely to add anyone soon unless Sanchez keeps performing like this, will have to drop him and add Ibra upfront.

I'm looking at BB in Arsenal's double gameweek. Fixtures in that week are decent for single gameweek players. Alternatively, I'll just play that in GW37 as the bench is getting filled with Sunderland players for some reason 😳

      1. jia you
        • 9 Years
        9 years, 14 days ago

Havent seen the games yet mate, I got in Gestede with Ibra on 2FTs last week in a change to 352. Ijust thought he's cheap enough to have a third sub and play for the DGW and hope! I've gone from 64k to 7k in 4 weeks so enjoying it at the moment so I might risk BB in 34 as a sort of an OR gamble;)

Got in Sanchez (+Vardy) this week for Kun and Mane. Regret it already...

    Jaku (Foster)
    Alonso Walker Fernandez Nyom (Funes*)
    Sanchez Siggy King Alli (Antonio)
    Vardy Lukaku (Llorente)

    1 FT 0.6 ITB

    Suggestions?

How can Coutinho be flagged with illness? Did he get ill during the game?

If he doesn't play next gw I am thinking:

    Cout, Vardy -> Albrighton, Aguero

    What do you think?

Alonso owners holding? I'd love to turn Siggy into Sane/Eriksen.

    Eriksen will require funds.

I am holding but only as I don't want to lose value before WC in a few weeks. Otherwise I think he would be gone.

If you're buying to cap then Ibra, if not then maybe give Costa @BOU, type of game he braces isn't it?

Very good, lukaku seems best at home to weaker opponents tougher fixtures ahead he may struggle imo

Kaku to Vardy Costa or Ibra could be better choice

Would it be crazy to trade out Lukaku for Aguero for the next couple of weeks?

I am tempted to bring Hazard for Sanchez. Seems Alexis is not very motivated and playing too wide.
