Ahead of this weekend’s fourth round stage of our two Premier League cup competitions, we look back at the events of the previous clashes and some of the most eye-catching match-ups.

Mark is now the only surviving former winner in our open to all cup after seeing off tkmlim 72-65 in round three. He next faces What Divock?!, who defeated reigning champion A Manager Has No Name.

Joining him through the exit door is Wild Rover, who was crushed 90-70 by the contest’s highest-ranked manager 50th-placed pitstop1.

The unlucky boss to next face pitstop1 is The Shaman, who is ranked just 373,401.

Another former winner to fall was Donnellyc, who was dispatched by Who Divock Is Origi.

Joining Mark as other representatives of our live Hall of Fame top ten in the next round are Dronny Imp (aka David Meechan), whose score of 92 was enough to beat Jurgen Can Karius and set himself up a match against Quinntessentials.

Another elite manager to prevail is My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg), who scored 89 in his victory over Prophet and next takes on Donnellyc’s conqueror Who Divock Is Origi

The full fourth round draw can be found here.

In our Members Cup Fenghh, who beat former winner Trigg in round two, makes it through to the fourth round after defeating 2,208-ranked christian steinbauer.

But things do not get any easier for our 36,596-placed giant killer as he now faces the competition’s top-ranked manager Hana, who is 170th in the world.

Elsewhere in the round four draw, community regulars RoysCallerAnne and Dr Ennet face each other, with the former’s 829 rank making him the favourite over his 19,528-placed opponent.

There will also be a community writers derby when Career Hall of Fame analyst TopMarx takes on Kryten, who has written extensively on bandwagons and the effect of European cup involvement on Premier League teams. With a rank of 13,069, compared to Kryten’s placing of 27,609, TopMarx is the slight favourite for this battle of the scribes.

The full fourth round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

With apologies if I am the 1,000,001st person to ask this, would you do

    Kun > Kane (-4)?

Not sure... Will have to get more than 1 goal to justify the move.

I'm just seeing a lot of Kun + AN Other > Kane + AN Other (-4) on here and wondering if the Kun > Kane bit is really worth it this GW. Kun has a decent fixture and doesn't need to get 'up and running' like Kane...

Yes only if you don't have lukaku and plan to captain kane

If he becomes the obvious captain choice for you, maybe. If not, think I'd sit tight and keep the points.

I really feel the Kane TC this week is a better option than Ibra for his DGW - surprised I'm not seeing much disucssion on the KTC. I think people become blinded by DGW without actually looking at the games involved.

  12. The Head-Ake

    Forster - Pickford
    Mustafi - Yoshida - Alonso - Love - 4.7x
    Carrick - Sterling/Sane - Sanchez - Hazard - Alli
    Costa - Kane - Barnes

How is this for a WC on GW35? Know it might be early but provided no injuries occur in this gap, is this team good? Not considering Southampton attack as it has possible rotation risk with Austin and Gabbi.

It's going to be so hard picking a WC team. already looking a disaster. It has the potential to really mess a season up if close to ML rivals. Choose wisely.

Thinking about the DGWs and the fact I need to ship 1 Spurs to get Kane... I have 2FTs this week so how do these look?

    Walker+Jaku >

    A. Yosh+Cech
    B. Huth+Forster

    Team (* = DGW37 for BB)

    Valdes • Jakupovic
    Walker* • Valencia* • Stones* • Stephens* • Chambers

What do I do with this chaps, I'm looking to get Kane in, just going round in circles and scared of loosing Sanchez for some reason?

    Bavies, Valencia, Bertrand
    Coutinho, Eriksen, Alli, Sanchez
    A.Carroll, Lukaku, Aguero

    A) Bavies, Sanchez, A.Carroll > Ward, Zaha, Kane -4 (Aguero > Ibra GW34)

    B) Bavies, Aguero, A.Carroll > Ward, Benteke, Kane -4 (Lukaku > Ibra GW34)

    C) Any other suggestions?

    1. heco87
      • 16 Years
      9 years, 3 months ago

If you're doing either option, do you have to do Davies to Ward to afford it? Or can you do it without the hit?

      1. heco87
        • 16 Years

Ah, it's because you're maxed on Spurs, apologies.

        1. heco87
          • 16 Years

Carroll to Benteke and save the transfer would tempt me.

If you're set on getting Kane, think I'd do Kun & Davies to Ward / Gibson & Kane then wait to get Benteke next week.

        2. Dele
          • 9 Years
          9 years, 3 months ago

😉 -4 isn't much in the scheme of things if Kane goes and gets a hat-trick as captain. Wishful thinking...

            • 16 Years
            9 years, 3 months ago

You're right, but does Carroll to Benteke on its own justify the hit?

            1. Dele
              • 9 Years
              9 years, 3 months ago

Considering they are both as useless as each other, maybe that one could wait a week.

      2. Dele
        • 9 Years

Already have 3 Spurs that's the problem. Kane always does well for me so desperate to get him in.

The dawning realisation that the end of season rotation is very real...even the potential of it is problematic.

    We need an article.

Indeed, expect some Chelsea + Manu (if they go through in EL) rotation for the DGW. But the fixtures just look too good to ignore a Chelsea defender!

This. Can't see us concede against any of them if we're still up for it

    Holgate Mawson Robertson (Valencia Britos)
    Siggy Alli Sanchez Redmond (DeRoon)
    Kaku Costa Origi

    C) Costa > Kane, Redmond > Zaha

Alexis Sanchez is happier playing as a striker for Arsenal, according to his manager Arsene Wenger

    Those were the days.... 😀

Knew I couldn't afford zaha as part of the deal, but didn't realise crouch was in danger of dropping, now can't do my plan of Crouch and Sanchez to Ibra and Milijovic (-4). Worth an extra hit next week to get in Zaha and downgrade one of my defenders (likely brunt or Baines as want to keep Alonso, Gibson, and Valencia)?

    Good evening.

In a 3-4-3, which midfielder would you bench for Zaha in GW34?

    1) Sanchez (LEI)
    2) King (MID)
    3) Siggy (STK)
    4) Coutinho (CRY)

Those single GW, home fixtures are so plum, I'm starting to doubt whether I need Zaha at all!

Wasn't one of the lessons from last season's DGW not to overlook single GW players with a great fixture?

    Vote Time!

    A: Siggy + Lovren -> Eriksen + Jagielka
    B: McAuley + Siggy + Origi -> Kane + Zaha + Holgate (-4)
    C: Lovren + Sanchez + Origi -> Jagielka + Eriksen + Kane (-4)
    D: Vardy + Lovren -> Kane + Jagielka

Basically, my defence needs work, and I don't want to miss the Kane boat, but that means -4 or losing an in-form striker...
