A little later than usual, we look back on the previous round of fixtures after last night’s Manchester derby brought the curtain down on Double Gameweek 34.

As many of us prepare to unleash our second Wildcards, a number of big-hitters make a strong claim for our plans over the remaining four Gameweeks.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

If you've a WC I wouldn't be selling either this GW. If your pushed with price rises then Gabbi & Hazard.

Front 8 looks like some difficult decisions on who to bench. Pretty solid BB37 team though.

          You can either do:
          Downgrade Cech to Caballero.
          Downgrade Eriksen/Alli
          Downgrade Gabbiadini to Anichebe.

Defenders to get: Vertonghen, Monreal, Huth, maybe Stones. Id change Blind and Wouldn't double up on Saints.

    Long time lurker, finally registered:

How essential is Sanchez? Going with Ozil instead allows me:

    Afobe -> Gabbiadini
Jesus -> Vardy (for GW36 and then switch back for GW37 BB)
    £4.5m def -> Daniels

    Also, which option is best?

    A) Gabbidini, Gabriel
    B) Afobe, Monreal/Bailly (no Arsenal def if Bailly)

    How's this WC looking?

    Pick Cabellaro
    Alonso Bailly Gabriel Yosh Holgate
    KDB Haz Erik Cout Carroll
    Kane Gabbi Benteke
    £1.9m bank

That bank gives enough for Benteke>Jesus or Cout/Gabbi>King/Jesus depending on form over next 1-2 GWs.
KDB is a punt over Sanchez/Ozil as current rank of 115K needs a differential boost - worth it?

OK, final draft, who scores more?

    A) Ozil, Monreal, Vertonghen, Evans (TC Ozil/Gabbiadini GW36)

    B) Sanchez, Gabriel, Stephens, Brunt (TC Sanchez GW36)

In scenario B Stephens would only play in GW37, with Brunt playing the next 2. In scenario A Vertonghen plays regardless.

On Wildcard. Unsure who to bench (or captain) for GW35. Current line-up is as follows:

    Caballero
    Alonso / Vertonghen / Stephens
    Sanchez / Hazard / Eriksen / King
    Kane / Benteke / Gabbiadini

    Bench: Pickford / 1.Sane / 2. Monreal / 3. Holgate

    - If your advice is to bench Benteke, should I just include Jesus in my WC team instead? I plan to do Benteke > Jesus next week anyway.

    - If you agree with the above I will probably take a 1 week punt on Coutinho, then bring in Sanchez for him next week.

    - If you wouldn't bench Benteke, should I play Sane over Sanchez/Eriksen?

    - Should I play Monreal over Stephens?

Out of the 4 Arsenal games over 2 GWs how many do we think each of these will play?

    A) Koscielny
    B) Monreal
    C) Gabriel

It's a very tricky one, there are lots of moving parts: injuries, potential formation changes, Mustafi coming back from injury, Holding on the periphery, Gibbs as cover for Monreal.... I think 3 each.

    1. Moin

He is injured now, but yes, he is the most likely to play 4. If they stick to 3 at the back Gabriel may also. Gibbs might get a few games but Mustafi should be back GW37, so if they stick to 3 at the back it will probably be Kosc, Mustafi, Gabriel with Monreal/Gibbs and Bellerin/Ox at full back. Holding could come in for any of those 3, I'd guess Mustafi is most likely as he will be rusty.

          Yeah!

Ox to start ahead Bellerin in my opinion...but I am thinking of picking Gabriel has he is a cheaper route into their defence, and if he even misses one match won't hurt that much

I need to take Gabriel if Hazard rises before the deadline, or I cannot afford him (No WC) just trying to work out the risk of owning him. Unlikely to have a choice.

There are 4, but read my response to Moin. Gibbs (pushing Monreal to LCB) or Holding can threaten any of the CBs after Mustafi is back. Gabriel is 3rd choice.

Yeah, two at the back puts Gabriel at risk if Mustafi is back. I think both full backs are a risk regardless, with Ox/Bellerin and Monreal/Gibbs sharing minutes

Both rotation risks, Albrighton probably more dangerous. Slimani is back now too I think, should improve his output. But D Gray will get some games in his place between now and the end.

Good point. Trying to fit in a decent 5th midfielder. Not many to choose from

With both rotation risks in some teams and the fact some of the usual suspects for captaincy have somewhat difficult games, I thought I would look at how a bookie viewed the weekend's games and priced the different candidates.

A lot of teams are WC'ing this week and a lot of teams are WC'ing next week and are looking for a one week punt.
I've included the names I have seen in a lot of teams (both WC and not) + a few outsiders that I don't expect a lot of people to have, but could be worth a punt.

I've listed each match with odds each of home win, draw, away win + the most likely results in order. Then I've listed popular picks and the odds to score anytime.

    Southampton v. Hull: 1.66/ 4.00/ 5.75
    Most likely results: 1-1, 1-0, 2-0/2-1
    Gabbi 2.05
    Redmond 2.60
    JWP 3.25

    Stoke v. West Ham: 2.10/ 3.50/ 3.75
    Most likely results: 1-1, 1-0, 2-1, 0-0, 2-0
    Crouch 2.50
    Bony 2.50
    Berahino 2.75
    Walters 2.87
    Arnautovic 2.87

    Sunderland v. Bournemouth: 3.00/ 3.60/ 2.40
    Most likely results: 1-1, 1-2, 0-1, 2-1
    Defoe 1.95
    Afobe 2.40
    King 2.60
    Anichebe 3.25

    WBA v. Leicester: 2.62/ 3.30/ 2.90
    Most likely results: 1-1, 1-0, 0-0/0-1, 2-1
    Vardy 2.50
    Rondon 2.50
    Mahrez 3.60

    Crystal Palace v. Burnley: 1.80/ 5.00/ 9.00
    Most likely results: 1-0, 1-1, 2-0, 0-0, 2-1
    Benteke 2.20
    Zaha 3.25
    Townsend 3.50
    Gray 3.50

    Manchester United v. Swansea: 1.40/ 5.00/ 9.00
    Most likely results: 2-0, 1-0, 2-1/3-0, 1-1, 0-0
    Rashford 2.20
    Martial 2.37
    Mkhi 2.50
    Llorente 4.33
    Siggy 4.75

    Everton v. Chelsea: 3.80/ 3.60/ 2.05
    Most likely results: 1-1, 0-1, 1-2, 0-2, 0-0
    Costa 1.83
    Lukaku 2.20
    Hazard 2.62
    Pedro 3.20

    Middlesbrough v. Manchester City: 11.00/ 6.00/ 1.30
    Most likely results: 0-2, 0-1/0-3, 1-2
    Aguero 1.57
    Gabriel Jesus 1.83
    Sané 2.25
    KDB 2.75
    Negredo 3.50
    De Roon 9.00 😉

    Tottenham v. Arsenal: 1.85/ 4.00/ 4.20
    Most likely results: 1-1, 2-1, 1-0, 2-0, 2-2/3-1
    Kane 1.72
    Son 2.10
    Alli 2.30
    Sanchez 2.40
    Eriksen 2.75

    Watford v. Liverpool: 6.50/ 4.50/ 1.53
    Most likely results: 0-2, 0-1, 1-1/1-2, 0-3, 0-0/1-3
    Origi 2.25
    Firmino 2.25
    Coutinho 2.60
    Deeney 3.60

Obviously this isn't a straight go-to guide on who to captain. It doesn't factor in assists, extra point for midfielder goals, CS points and a lot of other things. The bookie also doesn't factor in the chance of playing properly in my opinion, as some of the above are more of a rotation risk than others.
This can also be seen by the relatively low odds to score on the following players:

    Iheanacho 1.83
    Austin 1.9
    Batshuayi 1.90
    Sturridge 1.95
    Janssen 2.30

Personally I like to use a bookie to get an idea on how they view the match in general and the different candidates and I sometimes use it as an inspiration on deciding my XI or captaincy.

I won't draw any conclusions, but I thought I would share it now that I had done most the work.

Good luck to everyone and may green arrows come your way 🙂

    Davies - Yoshida - Fuchs - Pieters - Mawson;
    King - Zaha - Alli - Sigurdsson - Shaqiri;
    Kane - Aguero - Lukaku

    1) Save FT (0.5m ITB).

Any ideas of what to do with this lot?

    Kane-Rashford-Benteke

    Bench: Randolph-Chambers-Holgate-Mustafi

Have you still got WC? Is this just for this week?

        No WC left, unfortunately

        Thinking of this:
        GW35: Heaton+Valencia->Caballero+Balliy (-4)
        GW36: Alli/Eriksen+Chambers -> Hazard+Verthongen (-4)
        GW37: Randolph->Pickford

And then BB in 37 with 12DGW's....Is -8 to much? And what to do with Mustafi?
