Dugout Discussion – Crystal Palace vs Burnley

With just two goals from Saturday’s action so far, we now turn to the tea-time kick-off at Selhurst Park to provide some much-needed entertainment and Fantasy returns.

Crystal Palace host Burnley having enjoyed an influx of investment on the back of their double Gameweek 34, ensuring that many will have interest in this evening’s encounter.

Christian Benteke – one of the few success stories with a 14-point return – heads into the match backed by 608,000+ FPL managers, with 172,000 opting to hand him the captaincy ahead of the Clarets clash – that includes 21 of the top 100 managers.

In contrast, Wilfried Zaha owes his recent investors. He was brought in by 144,000+ ahead of Gameweek 34 only to return just three points. More than 46,000 have shipped him out ahead of today’s clash.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

        How much more nailed on is Monreal, compared to Gabriel? Is he worth the extra?

          Monreal is 100% nailed if Arsenal play 3 at the back - plays either on the wing, or at the back 3 with Gibbs on the wing. With 4 at the back he's still nailed, though Gibbs will come in for the odd game (I think it's only happened twice this season that Gibbs has played instead of Monreal at left back).

        This would probably be my team if I don't make any transfers (No WC, 6.0 ITB, 1FT):
        Willy
        Stephen, Yoshida, Alonso, Vertonghen, Baines
        Eriksen, Sane, Sanchez
        Gabbiadini, Kane
        BENCH: Jaku; Benteke, Zaha, TCarroll

        I have lots of good fixtures in defence. I have 6m ITB with a view to getting Hazard and Jesus in for Zaha and Benteke. So, this week, for -4:

        A) Zaha, Benteke > Hazard, Jesus (-4: Bench Vert and Baines)
        B) Baines, Zaha > Gabriel, Hazard (-4: Bench Vert and Benteke)
        C) Zaha > Hazard (FT: Bench Vertonghen)

        I like B because the Arsenal defender gives me more fixtures and I want one next week, but having Benteke (or maybe Sane) on the bench is a risk... I could bench one of the SOT defensive pair I suppose. I will use my next FT to replace whichever of Baines, Benteke or Zaha that I have left.
