The curtain falls on Gameweek 35 with a Vicarage Road meeting between Watford and Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s charges arrive bidding to cement their standing in the top four, exploiting Sunday’s results which saw their major challengers drop points.

From a Fantasy perspective, Liverpool’s twin Brazilians will garner the most interest.

Both Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino head into this encounter having prospered against the Hornets in the reverse fixture. Coutinho produced a goal and an assist for 11 points, while his compatriot went fared even better, recording two assists and a goal to total 15 points – his best tally of the campaign.

Both have the backing of new owners tonight, with Coutinho the more popular, finding his way into 50,000+ squads ahead of Gameweek 35, compared with Firmino’s 23,000+. The former is also favoured for the armband, with more than 122,000 (2.7%) trusting Coutinho.

But Liverpool are likely to face some resistance from the home side. Walter Mazzarri’s Watford reached the 40 point “safety” mark with six matches to spare and have earned victories with clean sheets in three of their last five Gameweek outings.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Thoughts on Matic as a cheap mid assuming you already have Hazard and Alonso?

I am the champion of Morrison. Awful fixtures but he scored a brace VS Chelsea last season in same fixture. Back up pen taker and some set peice. 4.3 he's an enabler and I've punted on him. Likelihood all these cheap mids will have meagre returns.

Liverpool need to upgrade their fullbacks as much as the CB's. Very under the radar of how poor they've actually been.

He's had quite a poor season if I'm honest. We have Trent, who has a lot of potential but he needs to be backup. Other than that, they're pretty poor.

I've said it before but I do wonder if Klopp has done a lot to improve players.

Still, top 4 is yours to throw away, and finishing above City, Utd, Arsenal not to be sneezed at. Next one will be a big season.

Agreed. Not quite sure how we're above Man C with only 3 games left. Their squad is lightyears ahead of ours. We have a muck squad.

think there are choices to be made

im looking at triple Chelsea triple spurs but no arsenal. There will certainly be those out there with triple gooners. All fairly template players but its just the precise combos

Oh, my idea was to tripple Arsenal defence, and leave Spurs players out. Tripple City, Chelsea, Arsenal and play 15 good dgw players.. Too much to lose though!

              • 11 Years
              9 years, 2 months ago

exactly - there is a core skeleton which is probably most likely to score points but you cant have all of them

cant have costa, kun, kane front line with haz, alli, sanchez, erik,KDB in mid then fill the defence with arsenal and Alonso. It just costs too much so you have to make choices.

It is easy to work out a different team most are just too scared of the big template players

Err you are too late with this.

I just cant bear to let him go...

The other one im currently hanging on to is Maguire. Great motivation, team form and goal threat

This is the only gameweek I'd consider using AOA, but I'm not certain.

Basically it's Albrighton (WAT) or Yoshida (double).

Feels wrong to bench a DGWer for essentially bench fodder, but Saints could easily concede twice in each game and Watford at home is a good fixture for a major differential.

Point: If your captain goes off injured within 20 mins your captaincy should automatically switch over to your vice captain. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Didn't affect me today with Coutinho (although I own him) but Jesus vs Bournemouth comes to mind too.

I also think the captain should be awarded a goal if he has two decent shots and plays a terrific match;)

Wouldn't go that far, just feel that when your captain goes off within 20 mins it puts you at an unfair disadvantage

What if he goes off on 21 mins

What if he's scored a brace in the first 20 minutes and is sitting on 3 BAPS? Stick or twist!! It's a game of luck as well as a certain amount of skill, Captains can send you to 7th heaven or just as quickly to hell.

I Captained Gabbiadini, my closest rival Aguero, he's now 22 points behind after his C getting 22 moe points than mine!

No WC left so looking at doing Grant & Valencia out for a (-8). Best replacements for 10.3m total?

    A) Cech/DDG/Lloris & Gabriel/Cedric
    B) Courtois & Yoshida
    C) Pickford & Kos

    Grant, Jaku
    Valencia, Brunt, Bavies, Stones, Robertson

Team looks in a bad shape for dgw. With no WC i guess hits and hits I'd the only solution
How shall i go ahead for dgw? Don't have WC. Which should i Do?
    1.7 ITB..
    Got only BB remaining.

    Heaton
    Kompany-cahill-bailly
    Albrighton-siggy-eriksen-sanchez
    Gabbi-vardy-costa

    Bench - jaku,baines, zaha, McCauley.

So looking to catch up in my mini-league.
    Already used my wc.
After Cout limped off tonight I got triggerhappy and brought in Walcott as his replacement.. Now I am thinking why not captain the lad for 36..? After all I am looking for a differential and he potentially has got dgw..
    My boys are:
    Heaton, Pickford
    Yoshida, Davies, Jagielka, Bailly, Maguire
    Alli, Haz, Sané, King, Walcott
    Rashford, Lukaku, Kane

    Thoughts?

      Could prove genuis. Or disastrous.
I'm still tempted to risk him too.

You have (oftentimes rightfully) railed against Costa so much this year, I think you are ethically bound NOT to get him, Kiwi 🙂
