Double Gameweek 36 gets up and running at the London Stadium this evening as West Ham United entertain title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur.

The visitors roll up knowing that a win would take them to just one point behind Chelsea at the summit, with attacking trio Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen playing a prominent role in many Wildcards selctions over the last few days.

All three have merited our attention.

Kane – who has already picked up 13 points against the Hammers in Gameweek 12 – has seven goals and three assists in his last five starts and is second only to Alexis Sanchez in our Gameweek 36 Captain Poll, with 11% backing.

Eriksen has delivered double-figures in each of his previous two road trips, while Alli’s run of eight returns in the last nine Gameweeks has taken him to nine points off the top of the FPL player standings.

Devoid of a Double Gameweek, Fantasy interest in West Ham’s assets is minimal at best – the main impact will be their ability to breach a defence that’s conceded just once in their previous six.

Slaven Bilic’s side will take some solace in their 3-2 loss at White Lane back in November, though – that was one of only five times that Spurs have conceded more than a single goal in the league this season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

West Ham fans leaving when they're 1-0 up against Spurs, imagine actually supporting this club.

Which they could do but I really don't think that's what Pool need. They need some big investment in the squad, FSG need to stump up that money.

I agree completely. Saw something about a net spend of 5 million over the last 2 or 4 years. For a team that wants to challenge you can't be penny pinching. You either invest or be up front about it. The injuries to key first 11 this year showed serious lack of depth which I know with no European football was the plan, but a return to European football and possibly champions league means depth and quality needs to be bought to the level of about 6-8 players, 5 or which need to be marque

if we're honest, Countinho is unreliable.

I think he's improved this year and in the title chasing year of 2014 wasn't really part of the front 3 which is his better position. That said the injuries this year took their toll on him and tool while to recover. In a team of less quality players it's easy to target the key player or two but with the front 3 this year of mane frimhino and himself it was hard to mark all 3 so I do think he benefited.
