We make our way to Stamford Bridge this evening as Chelsea entertain Middlesbrough in the penultimate match of Gameweek 36.

The league leaders boast two of the top five most selected captains – Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have been handed the armband by 10.5% and 6.8% respectively against a Boro defence that’s shipped four goals in each of their last two road trips.

Costa delivered a season-high 16 points in his previous home appearance and is second only to Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus for transfers in up top ahead of the Blues’ Double Gameweek 37 against West Brom and Watford.

Hazard, meanwhile, has served up returns in seven of his previous eight league outings and produced six of nine double-figure returns in front of his own supporters.

Sold by over 144,000 FPL managers after blanking in both Double Gameweek 34 appearances, Alvaro Negredo returned to form with a goal and assist in last week’s 2-2 draw with Man City.

Having found the net in three of his last six matches, the Spaniard looks the likeliest to breach a backline that picked up its first clean sheet in 12 attempts at Goodison Park last time out.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    sorry for the repost:

leading my ML by 60 points and only have 1 FT...worth taking some hits? Will be using my BB...

    DDG, Pickford
    Yoshida Alonso Huth Vert Gabriel*
    King Haz Eriksen Sanchez Tadic
    Gabbi Kane Anichebe

ideally would like to get rid of Gabbi, Tadic, Gabriel but is it worth the -8 with the heads up I have on my nearest rival? Want to get Jesus + city defender in there somehow...

Am doing Gabbiadini to Anichebe to fund a Gabriel's replacement. Who should I get:
    (1) Koscielny
    (2) Kompany
Have Cech and Cabellero. Want Koscielny but want to know what you think.

He hasn't looked as sharp since his injury to be fair. Not suddenly a bad player or flash in the pan.

They aren't suddenly a bad team but they were fairly deflated last season once the title went. The fact they are playing a tired United side who were poor against a very average Arsenal says keep though. Kane going for golden boot

Is it getting harder to achieve a good rank than it used to be? The benchmark on here when the site was less well known and populated used to be top 50k minimum, top 10k the target, but the playing field is a lot more level these days and some consistently top performers are way outside the top 100k, ie Jonty, Triggerlips and SuperDunny. Certainly the guys in my ML are now all too well aware of dgw's where it used be just a couple of us.

I'm not using that to have a dig at the 'casuals'. Just giving a reason to why it's getting tougher every season. Previously only the hardcore players would access sites like these, now every man and his dog has access to a lot of info on the game site itself.

The chips suck balls. They're not why I'm struggling. It's a combo of bad decisions, bad luck, and sooooooo many competitors.

Do chips have that much of an impact? I'm not sure they do. DGWs have got me this year. Negredo captain then selling before his haul, then playing conservative this double gameweek and saints and Arsenal both getting clean sheets!

Sure is. I'm heading for my worst finish ever by a long shot. Even just by the numbers it makes sense. There was less than 2 mil when I started now over 4 mil. Then there's all the aggregated information by ffs and other sources and the interconnectedness of users through twitter.

I think its mostly just number of players. 5 years ago used to be near 2 million, now 4.5 million. Other things factor in, but I reckon that will be a huge factor

I think we should be given a % rank along side our OR, and it should be emphasised.

You'd probably find that most people seeing a fall in OR aren't doing so bad when you take into account the number of players

Mark should not play in money leagues he can see what problems occur surrounding his involvement with the FPL judiciary and some other people / managers don't like it-very obviously, he has participation in the outcome of results / players points so a bit like a pro footballer betting on the out come of match he's playing in, it's very similar.

Agree. FPL surely have to have a policy that doesn't allow people who influence the game (on the panel from goals assists baps) to not be allowed to enter the game so this type of Mark is fixing stuff is rediculous. If they dont have a policy then surely they are breaking some rules as it's a competition

If you have the bunse that looks like a good shout. Only if you are chasing perhaps though. Victor is a solid 3-4 pointer while Ayew needs to get attacking returns, but he could always get a goal/assist/baps.

    Heaton, Jakupovic
    Cahill, Davies, Smith, Robertson, Stephens
    Sanchez, Hazard, Alli, King, Carroll
    Kane, Vardy, Jesus

Fallen to about 40pts behind in ML. GW37 effectively my last roll of the dice.

Considering Sanchez & Davies --> De Bruyne & Kompany.

Same, but I am somewhat sceptical as my bench has Kosc (injury prone and I guess he's rested against Sunderland) and Holgate (rumours of being dropped). My bench is going to get 20 points this week which is the highest it's been since the Capoue weeks. I'd bite your hand off for that next week.

I've no idea what's realistic as i've never actually done well....Got BB37 and San(c)hez, Cech, Yoshi, Stephens to play this week

Oh please Koscielny, I got you because you we're more nailed on to play than Monreal..

Isn't it just. My superior team value meant I was able to get the likes of Koscielny, Pedro and Gabbiadini over Monreal, Albrighton and Anichebe.

If Kosc is out for 37, does it dent Cech's appeal?

Not really he still racks up the save points

So this is the squad for the next dgw:-

    Caballero Pickford

    Alonso Davies Gabriel Yoshida Kelly

    Alexis Sane King Alli JWP

    Kane Costa Gabbi

    .2 itb and 2 fts...

13 of the above have dgws (except Kelly and King) but I will keep hold of King...Kelly will go out and what go do with the other ft...Gabriel needs to go too imo... Thinking of getting Gibbs in his place...

    Suggestions guys

Would you switch out Gabriel to get 15 DGW players? Joint top of my ML!

    Caballero Pickford
    Alonso Huth Yoshida Stephens *Gabriel*
    Sanchez Hazard Alli King Sané
    Kane Jesus Anichebe

Could also do Sanchez -> KDB but rival doesn't have either.

I'm thinking of selling but not sure who to put in for 4.8... really want 15 DGW players.
