Gameweek 36 finally comes to an end this evening as Southampton entertain Arsenal at St Mary’s.

Alexis Sanchez will again be the focus of most managers’ attentions. Sitting in over 27% of FPL squads, the Chilean was the most captained player (11.2%) in the round of fixtures but a blank at home to Man United in his first match of Double Gameweek 36 means he has now netted just once in seven league appearances.

Meanwhile, his team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to add to a pair of assists in the 2-0 weekend win over Jose Mourinho’s side. The Gunners’ wing-back has been drafted in by over 15,000 FPL managers this week for a Double Gameweek 37 against Stoke and Sunderland.

For the Saints, Manolo Gabbiadini was the fourth most transferred in player ahead of last week’s deadline, with over 108,000 taking the plunge.

Yet a blank against Liverpool took his run to one assist in five, as Claude Puel’s defence racked up the points at Anfield instead thanks to a fourth clean sheet in seven.

Thanks to his spot-kick stop away to Liverpool, the Saints’ Fraser Forster leads the way among the Double Gameweek contingent on 16 points ahead of tonight’s 7.45pm encounter.

    Sanchez one roam high centrally for a ball to his feet and he scores. Seriously, Wenger has cost Arsenal a chance at top two taking him out of that role!

        More rational that Gibbs would be replaced (by Monreal)? Though Monreal's good performance could mean Holding gives way, but it's not the obvious choice

    E. Yoshida
    F. Simpson
    G. Gibbs

      I'm not so sure he'll be rested. If they do the business at West Brom, the Watford game could be the celebration and then the care free party in 38. They don't need a rest to bully and beat Arsenal in the cup final.

      1. Ibracadabra
        • 16 Years

        Not sure if it makes any sense to play regulars in both Watford and Sunderland if they beat West Brom. Conte will want to hand run outs to those squad players like Willian, Batshuayi, Terry, etc. The starters will play EITHER Watford OR Sunderland, not both in my opinion...

      If WB hold Chelsea to a draw (it's possible), that could well be the case, it's definitely a risk ditching him. I can see the appeal of switching for KDB but he is also a rotation risk right ? Could back fire

      I think they are certain that he's rotatable, and holding onto a player that is rotatable when KDB is more nailed is often ill-advised. So, people getting rid aren't sure he'll miss minutes, but the doubt is enough

      I think it's based on Conte's history of resting key players after winning titles in Italy. But the 2nd GW37 game is their last home match, so I'd guess there will be trophy presentation and precession. Will probably play the first team. I would expect rests in 38 for sure though.

      They need to win the league in the first DGW fixture, then have the trophy presentation and celebration at home in the 2nd DGW fixture. So I'd imagine the top guys get both of those. Own Hazard and Alonso and not particularly worried about either.

    Hi guys, long post. I hope you will still read this and help me out. Im leading my ML with 40 points right now and Im thinking of doing some changes to my team. Team right now is:

    Caballero, Pickford
    Alonso,Fuchs,Chambers,Holgate,Stephens
    Eriksen,King,Hazard,Sanchez(Conquelin)
    Kane,Gabbiadini,Lukaku
    0 FT, 0,7 ITB

    I've been thinking alot about what to do and this is some possible transfers(hits) to do.

    A) Fuchs -> Monreal(Lost some interest when hes not on the wing anymore, because of the 3 backline)
    B) Chambers -> Davies(Not sure he will play, will rose be back soon?)
    C) Hazard -> KDB (Not sure Hazard will play the two games, but is it really worth to take a hit)
    D) Gabbiadini + Conquelin -> Anichbe + (Pedro or Fabregas)
    E) Lukaku + Chambers -> Jesus + Bertand(Clichy)
    F) Sanchez + Chambers -> KDB + Monreal
    G) Conquellin -> Albrighton
    H) Save

    I think I'll save Lukaku beacuse of his home form and Sanchez beacuse he will prolly play the two games even though they have the FA cup later. I think the best transfer is Chambers -> Davies and maybe Hazard -> KDB to get city cover. But what do you say any tip is appreciated. Thanks!
