Gameweek 36 finally comes to an end this evening as Southampton entertain Arsenal at St Mary’s.

Alexis Sanchez will again be the focus of most managers’ attentions. Sitting in over 27% of FPL squads, the Chilean was the most captained player (11.2%) in the round of fixtures but a blank at home to Man United in his first match of Double Gameweek 36 means he has now netted just once in seven league appearances.

Meanwhile, his team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to add to a pair of assists in the 2-0 weekend win over Jose Mourinho’s side. The Gunners’ wing-back has been drafted in by over 15,000 FPL managers this week for a Double Gameweek 37 against Stoke and Sunderland.

For the Saints, Manolo Gabbiadini was the fourth most transferred in player ahead of last week’s deadline, with over 108,000 taking the plunge.

Yet a blank against Liverpool took his run to one assist in five, as Claude Puel’s defence racked up the points at Anfield instead thanks to a fourth clean sheet in seven.

Thanks to his spot-kick stop away to Liverpool, the Saints’ Fraser Forster leads the way among the Double Gameweek contingent on 16 points ahead of tonight’s 7.45pm encounter.

    A) Holgate (wat)
    B) Holding (stoke, sun) -4

I wouldn't do that personally, strong side

Can you do King + holgate for Fabregas + Holding? Gives you a clean DGW line up (if everyone plays two, holding maybe the biggest risk there)

      1. ashkroft
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 1 month ago

No, i have 0.0 itb- so .7 short of that move. I did initally plan to just spend 1 ft to do holgate->holding, but then again- might be too sideways if koscielny is fit again. prolly just get 1 match out of holding incase.

    Would you prefer:

    A. Cabellero and Monreal
    B. Cech and Daniels.

    A. would require an extra hit. If the GKs look equal, it's effectively whether Daniels to Monreal is worth a hit.

Disclaimer: this post is not intended for reading by ADIDASORIGINALS.

So my next question is: Who will get more minutes over the final 2 GWs, KDB or Hazard?

Would you be worried that KDB could be rotated under Pep, or is he more or less nailed, and therefore a more secure option (minutes-wise) than Hazard?

    1. Rhinos
      • 12 Years
      9 years, 1 month ago

No one knows, you just want someone to to put kdb nailed so you can justify the move

I'd be very surprised if Haz gets more minutes than KDB...think KDB will start both and Haz rested for Watford.

      KDB should.

Once Chelsea win the league, Conte has incentive to rest his best players.

Whereas City will have more of a fight left ahead of them in the PL and no incentive to rest their players even if they didn't.

    5. Smurf

If Chelsea beat West Brom then Hazard may get a rest against Watford. If they don't beat them, the Hazard plays both.

I would say KDB plays both games. Man City still need to secure top four and Pep will want to finish the season on a high after such a disappointing season.

I'll wait, but I feel with good fixtures, KDB can still inflict damage. He's pretty consistently quality throughout games. But I hesistate because my rivals have neither player, and other priorities, so saving a FT could be beneficial to me (except I have no idea what I would do in GW38 with 2 FTs if I have no injuries haha)

    7. MTPockets
        9 years, 1 month ago

Probably kdb if Aguero out. But sod's law says Aguero's injury uncertainity will linger so can't be sure about 2nd game.

      A. Holgate to Gibbs (free)
      B. Tadic + Jaku to Cech + mid under 6.3m
      C. Vardy + Tadic + Jaku to - (Rashford, Sterling, Cech) or (Anichebe, De Bruyne, Cech + 1.5m)

      Opinions?

If you have just reclaimed 1st place?

Would you try to be a d**k and just bring in his players instead of going for a differential?

Only thing Gabbi can haul is save points for the opposing GKs.

      Repost

      Best option here

      Coutinho Gabbi Grant Gabriel out
In KDB Anichebe Willy Gibbs -12
      Or
      Gabriel Grant Blind out for
      Willy Montreal Holding -8

Is Wenger not really likely to keep the current starting lineup unchanged with Holding in it now that they are getting results??

        Koscielny is a certain starter.

Something gives..Holding or Gibbs take your pick.

            Bellerin & Monreal I'd imagine.

Couldn't they go back to 4 at the back vs Sunderland to be more attacking? Maybe keep the 5 at the back vs Stoke.

The 3 or 5 is working for them.

          Clean sheets and wins.

For the first time this season, I don't have a clue what moves to make. Any transfers will involve removing a player than could punish me 😕

I'm without Sanchez, Sane, and Arsenal defence which is making me uneasy. Hmmm.

I'd be fearful of no Sanchez.

yeah, I'm loathe to lose Ozil after just bringing him in, so maybe a double up. I'd really like Sané too, so I'll make that my priority.

          I'm looking at Alli + Ozil + Brunt > Sanchez + Sané + Holding

I think that could cover most bases.
