After Alexis Sanchez ended Double Gameweek 37 with a season-high 27 points, Wednesday night’s meeting at St Mary’s has a lot to live up to.

Southampton entertain Manchester United in the penultimate showdown of a seven-day round of fixtures, and it’s fair to say that Claude Puel and Jose Mourinho both owe us a favour after their recent penchant for rotation scuppered many best-laid wildcard plans.

The Saints’ boss reinstalls a number of regulars after the 2-1 win at Middlesbrough on Saturday. Snapped up by 40,000+ and 27,000+ respectively for their second successive Double Gameweek, Jack Stephens and Manolo Gabbiadini return to the first XI along with the likes of Dusan Tadic, Nathan Redmond and Cedric Soares.

Despite mustering just a single assist in his last six league outings, Gabbiadini is his side’s most captained player, with 15,000+ handing him the armband for the Double.

Fantasy faith in United is at a low as Mourinho looks to keep his main men fresh with one eye on next week’s Europa League final against Ajax.

Marcus Rashford continues to be used sparingly on the domestic stage and is handed a third successive appearance on the bench, though Wayne Rooney is named in the first XI for the fourth successive league outing.

Having found the net in three of his last four Gameweek appearances, the Red Devils’ skipper is the most captained FPL asset among Mourinho’s starting line-up, with almost 28,000 affording him the armband.

Big thanks to Saints duo I have managed to generate a better lead..

    Me: 160 + Bavies + Kane + Alli

ML rival : 149 + Bavies + Kane + Eriksen (31 point lead for me including today's point)
    H2H rival : 150 + Kane + Eriksen

I hope Eriksen doesn't knock out Alli out too badly tomorrow!!!
And a CS / attacking return Mr.Bavies please...

People with Gabbi, transferring out or are you going to give him Stoke at home?

I've done my freebie Haz to Cout. Not sure I fancy taking a hit on the last day.

Can do Carroll to King and bench Gabbi.

over the two legs you just played hoof ball and time wasted at every opportunity, while both your goals were refereeing mistakes lol You might have got 3rd, but ure style of football will be slaughtered in the prem with teams that can actually put the ball in the back of the net

Reading had a goal difference of +4 and finished 3rd.

Huddersfield had a goal difference of -2 (you read that correctly) and finished 5th.

They will get murdered next year, whoever it is.

Same goals against as Hull 😉 Shows a summer can have a huge impact. If they're the same in August as they are now I agree either will struggle.

As it is I think both would attract good players for different reasons.

Wasn't sat literally in front of it, penalty, no doubt. Kalas used his hand to try take the ball away from danger. Anyways the game was very close I can't deny that, GL in the championship but Stam is just to wise for a team like Fulham!
