The final Gameweek of the season sees the conclusion of our two Premier League cup competitions. Here we reveal who has made it through the finals as well as the managers competing in the third place play-off matches.

K3lviN took giant killing to new levels to book his seat in our open to all cup final, after seeing off 134 ranked Live Hall of Fame top ten manager My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg). This 80,381 ranked manager’s sensational score of 199 proved too much for Peter’s 180 return in Gameweek 37.

He will meet another Goliath in the final after 740 ranked Sleepysi defeated Choppers13 in his semi-final.

Of the pair K3lviN has the experience of pressure, having finished 2012/13 second in the overall rankings. Sleepysi’s top 10,000 ranking in 2013/14 also means he is no stranger to impressive end of season runs.

In terms of key differentials, Sleepysi has Spurs’ Christian Eriksen, who should start away to Hull City on Sunday after was rested against Leicester City last night. He will also be hoping for an Arsenal clean sheet, at home to Everton, with Petr Cech expected to be fielded by Sleepysi alongside Nacho Monreal, who is owned by both.

For K3lviN he has Southampton’s Nathan Redmond, Leroy Sane of Manchester City and Spurs full-back Ben Davies as his main differentials.

Chelsea’s teamsheet could prove decisive, with Sleepysi stocked up with Eden Hazard, Marcos Alonso and Pedro, while his opponent has Cesar Azpilicueta as well as the Blues’ Belgian schemer.

With two free transfers to play it remains to be seen whether they will make dramatic changes. Philippe Coutinho may be one key target ahead of Liverpool’s home clash with Middlesbrough. The Brazilian could also offer a strong differential armband option.

With a £200 Amazon voucher to the winner and £100 to the runner-up, risks may need to be taken.

There’s a £50 voucher up for grabs for the winner of Choppers13 and My Pretty Pony’s third place play off.

In the Members Cup aspern goes through the final by the closest of margins, with his 2890 rank proving the difference after both he and his 4120 placed semi-final opponent Dynamic scored 175.

He will meet 8122 ranked Malaikat Jahad, who had a far easier semi-final, seeing off Barwood 196-171.

Of the Members Cup’s two finalists, Malaikat is the more seasoned veteran, with two top 10,000 finishes in his previous nine seasons. In contrast, aspern is in his third campaign and has yet to finish in the top 100,000.

Both only have one transfer to play and aspern may be tempted to use it to ditch Southampton’s misfiring striker Manolo Gabbiadini, who netted zero points in double Gameweek 37 after a no-show and missed penalty. Aspern’s key differentials include Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Eriksen, Bournemouth’s in-form midfielder Josh King and Leicester City’s Marc Albrighton.

For Malaikat he will be hoping his differentials Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Tottenham duo Heung-Min Son, and Dele Alli will be more than a match.

As with our open to all contest, the winner of this final will scoop a £200 Amazon voucher, with £100 going to the runner up.

A £50 voucher is available to the winner of Barwood and Dynamic’s play off.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

Just some random thoughts here... I'm at rank 1,939 at the moment - easily my highest in the two years I've played this game. 21 points back from 1k so that looks extremely unlikely, especially given A) that there are lots of great players around me and B) most of us have a pretty template team anyway.

Not sure if I should push the boat out and try to chase that top 1k, or play safe and protect my best ever rank. Which brings me to the question of Hazard - what exactly constitutes 'playing safe' with him? A lot of people here are doing Hazard to Coutinho, so does keeping Hazard become the differential now, with Coutinho the template move? Or is this a bubble, and the majority of players are still keeping Hazard, making the move to Coutinho more profitable?

Normally it's a straightforward decision between the template and a differential, but it's not that simple when you can't really tell what the differential is!

I've just accepted that I'll always didgeridoo Hazards points, he never does anything in my side. He doesn't even look interested in scoring himself.

With motivation & rest taken into account, Coutinho is the better pick imo. Hard to know who the bigger differential is. Probably still Cout. (I'm one of those you'll need to pass for 1k 😉 2 points outside it myself 🙂

And thanks, I'm in the same boat with Hazard - I've owned him for 16 matches, his return has been a measly 2 goals and 3 assists.

Lots of other moves I'm considering too - maybe Benteke for Gabbiadini instead of the Hazard move, or get some Liverpool defence in. Who knows.

      just rambling here...

How many points on average do you expect Haz to score in the long run vs Sunderland? (would his average be say 5,7,10+ points for a game like this?) this is A

What are Haz chances to play? (this is very tough - to me it seems impossible to calculate) this is X

How many points on average do you expect Couts to score in the long run vs Boro? this is B

What are Couts chances to play? (would say 95%)

If B*Y > A*X the transfer has a positive expectation.

      1. b✪mber
        • 10 Years
        8 years, 6 months ago

*Couts chance to play is Y

      2. Pierce34
        • 10 Years
        8 years, 6 months ago

That's an interesting way of looking at it. Yes, obviously the big unknown is Hazard's playing time - in a normal week I'd ship a player who's not certain to start, but this is Hazard at home vs. Sunderland, which is even more enticing if he's approaching differential status.

        1. b✪mber
          • 10 Years
          8 years, 6 months ago

Say you expect 7 points from Haz from a fixture like this and only 5 from Couts.

If Couts has 95% chance to play than you need to drop Haz if his chances of playing are below 67%.

          1. b✪mber

And there's also the luck factor - you can always do the right thing and still get punished for it. 😀

I wonder if we should look at differentials as players who may do well if the play, not players who will do well if they play in ordinary circumstances. Nothing is ordinary about Chelsea's meaningless game before a meaningful FA Cup final.

          1. Pierce34
            • 10 Years
            8 years, 6 months ago

True, though with Conte saying that he wants Courtois to get the golden glove you'd expect a reasonably strong Chelsea side. They'll want to play well in general so they can roll to the final in good form.

Trailing my rival by 13 points. Haven't transferred Vokes in yet but this is what my team looks like now, against what his may look like, barring a transfer.

Any chance of me overhauling it? Transfer suggestions?

    My Team
    Caballero
    Alonso - Monreal - Holding - Vertonghen
    Sanchez - Sane - Pedro
    (Vokes) - Kane - Jesus

    Pickford - Albrighton - Redmond - Stephens

    Rivals
    Heaton
    Alonso - Baines - Smith
    Sanchez - Alli - King - Pedro
    Vardy - Lukaku - Benteke

    Pickford - Matic - Cook - McAuley

    1. ILOVEBAPS
      • 13 Years

For starters if play Albrighton over Holding as Eve could easily knick one in chasing GB for Lukaku.
Your team is way better than his but 13 is a lot to catch. Better hope Vardy stays quiet.Vokes seems a good pick.

Hey guys, i would appreciate is you can help me win my mini-league. I'm tied on points at the top of my mini-league.
I have 2 FT's, while i'm 95% sure that my rival did Alli to Coutinho. I regularly checked his value, money in the bank so i'm pretty on point that he did that exact transfer.

The main difference between our teams in midfield and attack is that he has Costa, Coutinho and KdB while i have Hazard, Alli and Jesus.

Is it better to make the same move as him Alli > Coutinho or sell Hazard for Coutinho?

I'm convinced my bench this week outscores my bench boost from last gwk

Caballero (wat) Albrighton (BOU) Yoshida (STO) Stephens (STO)

Bench boost got me 18 last week

I keep going back and forward between A & B...

    A) Hazard & Gabbiadini ➡️ Fabregas & Sturridge (Play 3-4-3)

    B) Hazard & JWP ➡️ Fabregas & Coutinho (Play 3-5-2)

    Caballero, Pickford
    Alonso, Davies, Yoshida, Chambers, Holding
    Sánchez, Hazard, Alli, Sané, Ward-Prowse
    Kane, G.Jesus, Gabbiadini

Besides Kane which other striker/s are the must haves for the last GW?

  29. Aubaaaaa

Matic and Kante are first choice? If so, most likely both will get a start against Sunderland isn't it? And given Kante just came back to first team action not too long ago after his injury, Conte may let him start and probably sub him out at 60/70 minutes? And Matic rested during the last game and most probably he'll start against Sunderland. In that case, will Fabregas start? And if he starts, who will or can he replace? Hazard? Just my 2 cents worth.

    1. Eze Really?

lol I'm thinking whether to get Fabregas in for Hazard. Or just leave Chelsea mids out entirely. Just that a last home game that Conte will want to win to reach the record 30 league games wins and against a sunderland side is just too tempting. Conte's too unpredictable though.

After two seasons of chips I thought the opinions on the scoutcasr were very interesting

In summary (maybe not) here is what I am thinking

AOA is pants probably more likely to give you a lower GW score - GW 38 might always be the time to use it and even then you need to get lucky.

BB - I still think it needs to be used in dgw but with a balance of 15 decent dgw players after the second WC. This kinda goes against my logic that 12 dgwers is good enough as there will always be sgw performers.

TC. No doubt it must be used in a dgw and has huge potential for success and failure. But still by far the chip with the most potential. I used to think it was BB that had the most potential.

WC- use the first one after 3-4 weeks to fix team. Get on bandwagons and gain team value.
The second one prior to BB- hopefully a 34 and not 37 BB.

What's everyone thoughts after two years?

It's pretty clear the best technique is to WC the week before a DGW you plan to BB, and TC in another DGW. Don't see how people can argue using either chip in a SGW.

AOA needs to be changed to C and VC getting points, although I'd like to see rid of all of them and just 2 WCs

Yeah I like the C and VC idea replacing AOA. Imagine the hauls if they were on Sanchez and Kane.

When they were first introduced I thought it opened it up to luck too much and it does but I think the game is better for the chips and it adds a bit more excitement ( and torture when they fail)

That's it pretty much, though I think BB still has more upside than TC. Even a TC with a monster haul like Kane or Sanchez will get you an extra 31 or 27 points. You only need a moderate bench output to get that kind of score.

My BB was 26 points for example - Pickford 6, King 9, Brunt 3, Stephens 8. The BB only needs a clean sheet here and goal there to match a TC that you've absolutely nailed.

You could be right on BB still being the best.
TC in 37 may have had the perfect storm and it won't always be like that.
Last year it was more obvious when to play them not so much this year. 37 was ideal for both in theory.

      2. Pierce34
        • 10 Years
        8 years, 6 months ago

Having said all that, it still arguably makes sense to have TC as the priority chip. Sometimes there are fixtures that scream haul - like Sanchez's Stoke and Sunderland ones. And hopefully in most seasons there will be two reasonably balanced DGWs as opposed to a big one and a few little ones, for the BB to be utilised.
