Gameweek 2 concludes at the Etihad Stadium as title favourites Manchester City host Everton.

Fantasy managers will be fixated on the City attack, with Sergio Aguero backed by over 214,000 (4.9%) of Fantasy Premier League managers with the Gameweek captaincy. In total, 39% of Aguero’s 543,000+ owners have trusted him with the armband.

The Argentine is off the mark for the season thanks to his goal at Brighton on the opening weekend, but if you’re a believer in player records against specific clubs, this will be a testing night for Aguero.

Everton have proved his toughest Premier League opponent over the years. Aguero has scored just twice over 11 Premier League appearances and has failed to net in his last six appearances against the Merseysiders. He’s also missed two of two penalties against them.

Elsewhere, Aguero’s strike partner Gabriel Jesus is captained by more than 86,000 managers (2.1%). He goes into tonight’s encounter having scored seven goals and supplied four assists over his last eleven Premier League outings, despite blanking at the Amex Stadium last time out.

Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne is captained by 82,000 managers and backed by an FPL ownership of 27.1%. He also returned a blank on the south-coast and will doubtless require points here to stave off further sales. The Belgian boasts two goals and five assists in his last five league outings. Like Aguero, he missed a penalty in this fixture last season.

For Everton, Wayne Rooney heads into this match backed by 16.8% ownership although more than 92,000 have him on their bench. Over 51% of Jordan Pickford’s 485,000+ owners have also chosen to keep the keeper in reserve with City backed for goals.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    I needed only 2 points from Walker to win in my big prize head to head league. That was not cool.

          He would have had to get an attacking return. Not sure that's more likely than not.

            odds were on my side before the game man. Of course i lost the chance after he got yellow and rooney scored.

    At the end of the day... Walker played the man. He looked at him and levered his shoulder into him. The ball was dropping 5 yards to his left. Only intention was to barge the player off the ball. Yellow card all day long - shouldn't have done it.

      People don't operate with only one intention at any one time. Exaggeration to claim that he played the man, because the ball was a pretty big factor in the equation haha!

        Dude... look at the replay... he barges into the player and then runs after the ball which is still 10 yards above him in the air and 5 yards to his left. He wasn't playing the ball, he was playing the man!

      If that's a yellow then god help the game. Another over exagerrated reaction to nothing but a slight touch.

      I don't any City players so not a biased opinion, that was never a yellow.

    If you own;

    A) KDB
    B) Danilo
    C) TAA
    D) JWP
    E) Willian

    And don't own;

    A) Man United midfield or defence
    B) Spurs midfield or defence
    C) Alonso

    Is it worth wildcarding? Asking for a friend.....

    It's so frustrating when referees haven't had sex in ten years and they have to overcompensate by becoming protagonists on the pitch and destroy games like this. Those two yellows were insane, the second one especially.

          Don't be daft. The ball was still 10 yards in the air and 5 yards to his left when the contact was made. He looked at the Everton player directly just before it happened. Stop being biased.

    Anyone who watched city last week would have known kdb in this system relies heavily on set pieces. Ridiculously deep

      I don't think he is worth 10m, and I wouldn't begrudge anyone selling him after GW1 (even if I didn't), but he is one of city's two most advanced player on about 60% of their attacks, and hovering on the edge of the box for pull backs for the rest of them. Very good positioning, always open to receive the ball.

      I'm not sure you're watching the same game as me. I haven't anything to put me off owning him for next week.
