Jurgen Klopp confirms that Philippe Coutinho may be lacking match fitness for Liverpool’s trip to Man City. Kieran Trippier is available for Spurs’ clash with Everton but Stoke City look set to be without skipper Ryan Shawcross for the visit of Man United.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has conceded that Philippe Coutinho looks sharp in training after featuring for Brazil over the break. But the midfielder may need to build up his match sharpness ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Man City.

Arsene Wenger will check on late arrivals such as Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey following their international exploits, although it’s anticipated they’ll be available for selection for the home encounter with Bournemouth.

Eddie Howe revealed Simon Francis is expected to be back in contention for the trip to the Emirates following a hamstring injury.

Chris Hughton is expects strikers Tomer Hemed (thigh) and Glenn Murray (ankle) to be fit for Brighton’s home meeting with West Bromwich Albion.

Baggies head coach Tony Pulis has revealed that new arrivals Grzegorz Krychowiak and Kieran Gibbs are lacking match fitness, admitting he has a “big decision to make” about starting them. He also added there are one or two knocks in the squad, but didn’t reveal any names.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has stated that Wayne Rooney will feature at home to Spurs. Jordan Pickford has recovered from the injury that forced him to withdraw from England duties.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Kieran Trippier “is available” to face Everton, though new boy Serge Aurier is less certain to feature.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has no injury concerns for the visit of Watford, with defender Virgil van Dijk now back training with the first-team squad.

Marco Silva revealed Younes Kaboul (leg), Daryl Janmaat (muscle problem) and Roberto Pereyra (groin) have all returned to training for Watford over the past few days, with the former two more likely to be available at St Mary’s.

Ryan Shawcross is set to miss Stoke City’s home encounter against Manchester United with a fresh back injury, while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will be assessed, having picked up a hamstring problem during the international break.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement anticipates that new arrivals Wilfried Bony and Renato Sanches will both be involved against Newcastle United. Jordan Ayew has recovered from illness.

And Eden Hazard could be set for his first league appearance of the season as Chelsea make their way to Leicester – the winger played 91 minutes for Belgium over the break after finally recovering from an ankle complaint.

In that case I would want players who are likely to start for when rotation and injury kicks in. Consider 4.5 options from the lower sides and even players like Wimmer at 4.4m who may prove great value.

Definitely think we'll see more of him this season - I've been really tempted to get him on my WC but opted for Okazaki instead - can always downgrade if DCL become a regular.

If you can't find that extra 0.5, then I'd get him.

Good bench option. He'll come on as a late sub and nab a few points here and there, but he'll be on your bench.

For me I don't believe in clogging up the bench with non-players, so 4.5 options are out. That leaves him as the best choice one notch up (until Studge gets injured again and Solanke is 1st back-up).

Why the hell does Pulis love to give ridiculously vague comments about "1 or 2" mystery players having "knocks" every other GW, only for everyone to be perfectly fit come gametime? He's even worse than the farcical "lower body injury" or "upper body injury" injury descriptions that is prevalent in ice hockey lmao

Mkhi or Lukaku I would go for

Going Lukaku from the same forwards - have more confidence in United scoring a couple at Stoke than I do in Spurs at Everton or an out-of-sorts West Ham against a yet to concede Huddersfield.

He's in the best form, and Stoke will be without Shawcross and possibly Zouma - I think it's going to be a back three that have never played together before, and aren't particularly accustomed to that formation.

Is Carroll going to benefit from Sanches starting?

Too early to say. Carroll might be pushed further forward - or maybe not. Sanches might take some dead balls - or not.

Final wildcard draft, but not yet decided on the final 4.5 mid and defender. Thoughts?

    Fabianski, Elliot
    Alonso, Jones, Cedric, Mee, 4.5
    Alli, Salah, Mkhi, Pogba, 4.5
    Kane, Firmino, Okazaki

    Thanks

I would pick abraham over okazaki and carrol/chalobah as 4.5 mid. Naughton/fernandez/schindler/löwe as 4.5 def

Looks decent, not sure how Okazaki will fare though.

Def: Dunk or Naughton (with possibly Foster GK)

    Mee, Jones, Cédric, Naughton (Davies)
    Salah, Alli, Pogba (Carroll, Brady)
    Firmino, Lukaku, Morata

I prefer the third striker spot to be filled by cheap flavour of the moment and money spent on Alonso and a better 4th mid tbh

I might do that around GW 8 when Chelseas fixtures turn.
Basically now I'm rotating my def/4th mid
