Jurgen Klopp confirms that Philippe Coutinho may be lacking match fitness for Liverpool’s trip to Man City. Kieran Trippier is available for Spurs’ clash with Everton but Stoke City look set to be without skipper Ryan Shawcross for the visit of Man United.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has conceded that Philippe Coutinho looks sharp in training after featuring for Brazil over the break. But the midfielder may need to build up his match sharpness ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Man City.

Arsene Wenger will check on late arrivals such as Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey following their international exploits, although it’s anticipated they’ll be available for selection for the home encounter with Bournemouth.

Eddie Howe revealed Simon Francis is expected to be back in contention for the trip to the Emirates following a hamstring injury.

Chris Hughton is expects strikers Tomer Hemed (thigh) and Glenn Murray (ankle) to be fit for Brighton’s home meeting with West Bromwich Albion.

Baggies head coach Tony Pulis has revealed that new arrivals Grzegorz Krychowiak and Kieran Gibbs are lacking match fitness, admitting he has a “big decision to make” about starting them. He also added there are one or two knocks in the squad, but didn’t reveal any names.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has stated that Wayne Rooney will feature at home to Spurs. Jordan Pickford has recovered from the injury that forced him to withdraw from England duties.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Kieran Trippier “is available” to face Everton, though new boy Serge Aurier is less certain to feature.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has no injury concerns for the visit of Watford, with defender Virgil van Dijk now back training with the first-team squad.

Marco Silva revealed Younes Kaboul (leg), Daryl Janmaat (muscle problem) and Roberto Pereyra (groin) have all returned to training for Watford over the past few days, with the former two more likely to be available at St Mary’s.

Ryan Shawcross is set to miss Stoke City’s home encounter against Manchester United with a fresh back injury, while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will be assessed, having picked up a hamstring problem during the international break.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement anticipates that new arrivals Wilfried Bony and Renato Sanches will both be involved against Newcastle United. Jordan Ayew has recovered from illness.

And Eden Hazard could be set for his first league appearance of the season as Chelsea make their way to Leicester – the winger played 91 minutes for Belgium over the break after finally recovering from an ankle complaint.

Hi, sorry for asking basic question:

    GW4 1FT (not being used)
    GW5 2FT

If I don't use those 2FT in GW5, how much free transfers I have in GW6? 1 or still 2?

    Thank you.

Hey all, good to be back. Everyone all set for the weekend?

Not sure on a few things here:

    1. Gabbi > Firmino? Seems a bit like it's not needed this week
    2. Carroll/RLC > Brady? Again, maybe not a huge upside
    3. Who do I bench of Stephens, Naughton, Dawson, Mee?

The benching thing is difficult. Naughton or Dawson have the worst CS odds.

    Any advice welcome 🙂

Leicester City: Next Match: Chelsea (H)

    Doubts: Drinkwater 75%

Personally I would have thought Drinkwater would be 100% certain not to start for Leicester this weekend.

Not risky just now. Low risk between now and January but seems damage probably too great for Costa to feature again at all.

So???? So what's your point exactly?

The OG claims that it's apparently too risky to pick Morata after immediately asking if Costa would play?

Surely, that suggests that the OG might think Costa might have a chance of playing sometime soon, putting Morata at risk and remarkably, if it will be this weekend for some bizarre reason. You don't say Morata is too risky if that's not the motive for the question.

This topic is not about whether Costa plays this season. If it is, it needs to be made clearer but is also a pointless question on a FF forum right now.

    Foster / Elliot

    Jones / Mee / Naughton / Wimmer / 4.0

    Alli / Pogba / Salah / Brady / Carroll

    Lukaku Kane Firmino

See above... a hell of a lot of cash to tie up in him. I know he's good, I know he'll be the highest point scoring defender this season. But will he outscore the mid+OK Defender? I don't know... and there's just not many suitable replacements in midfield @ 7.0 price point.

I like it a lot. Would do Foster and Mee > Krul and Cedric, personally, but can understand your combination. Also think Francis is at least as good a prospect at 4.4 as Wimmer, now he's back in contention - Howe was talking about how much they missed him after Richarlison ran rings around Adam Smith - he also rotates very well with Naughton.

    Hi Folks

Im currently on WC but not sure on WHEN to get Kane.
    Reasons below:

    1) I personally dont really fancy him as (c) this week against EVE vs Lukaku(c) vs STO. £12.4m for a non(c) is expensive.

    2) I also have concerns his price will fall further if he blanks again (looking to take as much advantage of the WC as possible).

    3) Having to dedicate a FT to get him in next week vs SWA but maybe as a cheaper price (again the advantage of using the WC).

    4) If I do wait to get Kane in who is the best one week punt/placeholder for him and do I captain him over Lukaku still? Leaning towards Lacazette (other suggestions welcome).

    Summary of the options:

    A) Kane*-Lukaku(c)-Firmino
    B) Kane(c)*-Lukaku-Firmino
    C) Lacazette*-Lukaku(c)-Firmino
    D) Lacazette(c)*-Lukaku-Firmino

Appreciate everyone thoughts/advice on this 🙂

Had these 3 from start too. Used WC and avoided Kane drop using place holder. So I saved .1 so far. Could be .2 if a I wait a bit longer on Kane.

      A, fairly easily for me.

Kane is going to explode, and it could be any time. I think he's pretty necessary. And I think counting on a transfer for someone is always a bad play. something always comes up and you end up taking hits.

      1. OldBenKenobi
        • 9 Years

This is my main concern if I wait until SWA. But I see you still wouldn't Kane(c) over Lukaku. This gives me the impression you don't think he will explode vs EVE then?

I really can't decide on who to choose. I think a bit of it for me is ownership - I won't feel I missed out too much if he does because he won't be that well captained. After a bad week I kind of want to play it safe (arguably) so I think it's Lukaku, just, for me

Philippe Coutinho is an interesting dilemma for Liverpool supporters. Obviously you can't hero worship him anymore because he lied to you about his injury, abandoned the team at the start of the season, and ultimately played his final hand with a transfer request to force a move away from your club. As a valuable asset he will be re-integrated in to the side by Klopp but what will you do; resent him, sing his name, put up with him, or even forgive him?

I wonder how it will make Salah, or Can and Wijnaldum feel to be benched for a player who doesn't even want to be at the club?

What with the animosity between Liverpool's and Barcelona's upper echelons of power you may well be stuck with him for a while yet...

He behaved like a twat but then so did players who tried or who moved to us. It's footy. Short career, players have different ambitions.

He's got ass to kiss, give his all then he can go next summer.

We're not loyal to footballers and they're not loyal to us, simple really.

not very problematic at all, everyone and his dog would want to go to Braca or Real so nothing to blame him for. TRansfer request yes but he didn´t do much fuss about it like other players have done so agree with Berbs, nothing to really care about. Ofc sad that he will leave next year but Klopp is already on the course of doing some good stuff so not really worried.

Very good team in my opinion can't find much faults other than United triple up in attack, would potentially look to swap one and get a United defender

I've tried to only have 1 United midfielder and get Jones but I can't get the balance that I from this team... With Pogba and Mkhitaryan being that little bit cheaper.

I cant decide this either mate!

Now I'm thinking to play Carroll, can't see Newcastle scoring much, but think Swans could score a couple???

Mmm, that could be right. Although I trust Atsu over Carroll, maybe owing to price and gut feel.

think the masses will say Atsu so I might just do that, I think cause I now have Naugthon its swaying my decision to not play Atsu!

Sorry if discussed already but is it looking likely that Kompany will miss the game tomorrow? If that's the case, that makes it an easier decision to captain Mane or Firmino over Lukaku.
